Rodon (back/forearm) is slated to begin a rehab assignment Tuesday with Double-A Somerset, Randy Miller of The Newark Star-Ledger reports.

The expectation is that Rodon will make around three starts on the farm before perhaps returning from the 60-day injured list to make his Yankees debut sometime in early July. He's been stalled by chronic back issues and a forearm strain in the first half of the 2023 campaign after signing a six-year, $162 million contract with New York over the offseason.

The White Sox placed Clevinger on the 15-day injured list Friday with right biceps inflammation.

After being removed from Wednesday's start against the Dodgers, Clevinger will now officially miss a few more turns through the White Sox's rotation. An IL stint was expected, although it's unclear if Clevinger will need more than the minimum amount of time to recover. Jesse Scholtens was brought up from Triple-A Charlotte in a corresponding move.

Mozzicato (undisclosed) was activated from the 7-day injured list at Single-A Columbus on Thursday and gave up three earned runs on four hits and four walks while striking out three over 3.1 innings.

He was originally expected to miss a month with the undisclosed injury, but his absence ended up lasting just two weeks. This was Mozzicato's worst outing of the season, but the young southpaw still boasts a 2.54 ERA, 1.15 WHIP and 77 strikeouts in 49.2 innings.

Gray did not factor into the decision Thursday, allowing two runs on three hits and four walks over four innings against the Tigers. He struck out three.

Gray struggled with his command, matching a season high with four walks while needing 79 pitches to get through just three innings. After starting the year with a 1.39 ERA through his first eight starts, Gray's posted a 3.82 mark with a mediocre 1.57 WHIP over his last six outings. Overall, the 33-year-old right-hander is 4-1 with a 2.37 ERA, 1.28 WHIP and 79:30 K:BB through 76 innings. Gray currently lines up for a home matchup with the Red Sox in his next outing.

Brown won't start Sunday's game against the Reds as initially anticipated and now lines up to make his next turn Monday versus the Mets at Minute Maid Park, Chandler Rome of The Athletic reports.

According to Rome, Brown is feeling fine physically, but the Astros want to build in an extra day of rest between starts for the rookie right-hander after he tied a season high by covering seven innings his last time out in Tuesday's win over Washington. Ronel Blanco is now scheduled to take the hill Sunday, denying Brown of a two-start week. Brown should still line up for two turns the following week, with the right-hander expected to take on the Dodgers in Los Angeles after facing the Mets.

Cease allowed two runs on four hits and three walks while striking out 10 batters over 5.1 innings in a no-decision against the Dodgers on Thursday.

For five innings Cease looked every bit the pitcher who finished second in AL Cy Young voting last season, giving up just two hits while punching out nine batters. However, the right-hander was lifted after giving up two singles around another strikeout in the sixth, and both runners came around to score when reliever Reynaldo Lopez surrendered a game-tying grand slam to Chris Taylor. That prevented Cease from getting the win, but he nonetheless continued his nice turnaround in June. Through three starts this month, Cease has posted a 2.16 ERA, 1.08 WHIP and 23:8 K:BB over 16.2 frames.

Allen allowed five runs on four hits and four walks while striking out two batters over three innings in a no-decision against San Diego on Thursday.

Allen was spotted a five-run lead before he even took the mound, but he gave three runs back on a Manny Machado homer in the bottom of the first. The left-handed hurler surrendered two more runs in the third and didn't make it back out for the fourth frame. Allen's lack of control was a major factor in his rough outing, as he walked a season-high four batters, two of whom ended up crossing the plate. The rookie started his career with a flourish, posting a 2.76 ERA over his first eight starts, but he's come back down to earth by allowing 10 runs across nine innings over his past two outings. Cal Quantrill (shoulder) has begun throwing bullpens, and Allen's starting spot could be in jeopardy when the former gets healthy.

Javier finished with a no-decision against Washington on Thursday despite pitching six scoreless frames. He allowed five hits and struck out two batters.

All five hits against Javier went for a single, and he didn't issue any free passes for the third time this season. However, Houston didn't give him any run support, resulting in his second straight no-decision. This was the first time on the campaign that Javier has tossed a scoreless outing, though it was eighth quality start over 14 appearances. His strikeouts have been down lately -- the right-hander has notched just two in each of his past two starts -- but Javier has been consistently effective overall, posting a 7-1 record, 2.90 ERA, 1.04 WHIP and 76:19 K:BB over 80.2 innings.

Eovaldi (9-3) took the loss Thursday, allowing three runs on five hits and two walks over seven innings against the Angels. He struck out nine.

Despite taking his first loss since April 12, Eovaldi racked up another quality start, moving him up to 11th in MLB with nine on the year. He was tagged for two solo homers on the day, one by Chad Wallach in the second and the other by Mickey Moniak in the seventh. Across his last two appearances, Eovaldi has combined for seven earned runs and a 15:5 K:BB over 13.1 innings after allowing four runs with a 46:9 K:BB in his seven previous starts (52.2 innings). The 33-year-old is expected to toe the rubber next against the White Sox in Chicago.

Boyd (4-5) allowed four runs on seven hits across six innings to earn the win Thursday against the Twins. He walked one and struck out eight.

After allowing five runs and taking the loss in his last start, it looked like Boyd was headed for another rough outing when he allowed four runs in the second inning. However, the lefty settled in from there and managed to earn his first win since May 19. Boyd will still take a middling 5.60 ERA into his next start, which is tentatively set for Wednesday against the Royals, giving him a good chance to earn a win in consecutive appearances for the first time this season.
