Quantrill (shoulder) allowed three hits and a walk while striking out three over five scoreless innings in his rehab start Sunday with Double-A Akron.

Quantrill threw 58 pitches (38 strikes), so it seems likely he'll need at least one more rehab start to stretch out closer to a starter's workload. The right-hander has been on the injured list since June 2. Once he's ready to rejoin the major-league roster, one of Tanner Bibee, Logan Allen or Gavin Williams would likely be optioned out unless the Guardians opt to go with a six-man rotation to build in extra rest for their rookie pitchers.

Drohan was removed from his most recent start Sunday with Triple-A Worcester ahead of the fifth inning due to a calf cramp, Chris Cotillo of The Springfield Republican reports.

Drohan struck out a batter and allowed three hits and three walks over four scoreless innings before being lifted from the contest when he felt discomfort in his calf while warming up prior to the fifth inning. Fortunately for Drohan, his injury wasn't deemed to be anything too serious, and Worcester is still proceeding as though he'll be able to make his next turn through the rotation in Buffalo later this week. The southpaw has posted a 5.03 ERA, 1.59 WHIP and 33:27 K:BB over 39.1 innings at Worcester since being promoted from Double-A Portland in mid-May.

Lynch allowed one run on six hits and a walk while striking out two over six innings Sunday against the Rays. He did not factor into the decision.

The one run against Lynch came from a solo blast off the bat of Jose Siri in the third. The other five hits Lynch gave up all went for singles. He did register nine whiffs but had under five strikeouts for the fourth consecutive start. He's now allowed three earned runs or less in five of six starts this year and stands at a 3.96 ERA, 1.18 WHIP and 24:10 K:BB over 36.1 innings. Lynch will hope to get back in the win column next weekend when the Dodgers come to town.

Brito is listed as the Yankees' scheduled starting pitcher for Tuesday's game in Oakland.

Brito made a successful return to the big leagues following his call-up from Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre last Wednesday, as he stepped in to keep the Mariners off the scoreboard over 5.2 innings while allowing just three baserunners. He'll get a chance to build on that strong outing in a favorable matchup versus the 20-60 Athletics, the first of what will likely be two starts for the rookie right-hander this week. Brito tentatively lines up to make another start Sunday in St. Louis.

Civale allowed four runs on six hits and two walks while striking out five over six innings Sunday against the Brewers. He did not factor into the decision.

Four of the six hits and three of the four runs Civale gave up came in the third inning and the Brewers got to him once more in the fourth. He managed to get to six innings for a second consecutive start and was able to keep the ball in the park, but gave up more than two runs for the first time since he returned from injury June 2. Civale has been effective thus far, putting together a 3.18 ERA, 1.26 WHIP and 33:15 K:BB over 39.2 innings and lines up to face the Cubs on the road next weekend.

Ober allowed three runs on five hits and a walk while striking out eight over six innings Sunday against the Tigers. He did not factor into the decision.

The Tigers tacked all three of their runs against Ober in the third inning on two doubles and two singles. He settled down after that and tossed three strong frames while allowing only one batter to reach on a walk. The 27-year-old racked up a season-high eight strikeouts and generated 17 whiffs while avoiding a loss after the Twins wound up coming back to win in extra innings. Ober has quality starts now in four of his last five outings and sports a sparkling 2.98 ERA, 1.02 WHIP and 66:15 K:BB over 69.2 innings thus far. He lines up for a meeting with the Orioles next weekend.

Lorenzen allowed two runs on seven hits and a walk while striking out four over five innings Sunday against the Twins. He did not factor into the decision.

Lorenzen posted his second consecutive start allowing two runs or less but failed to reach six innings for the first time since May 22. He generated eight whiffs on the day and gave up just two extra-base hits, one of which was a two-run homer to Donovan Solano in the third inning. Lorenzen has not picked up a win since May 16, but Sunday's effort brought his ERA down to a 3.97 to go with a 1.16 WHIP and 58:19 K:BB over 77 innings. He lines up for an uninviting road game in Colorado this weekend.

Glasnow allowed one earned run on four hits and a walk while striking out 12 across five innings Sunday against the Royals. He did not factor into the decision.

Glasnow didn't have a particularly efficient performance, but he induced an impressive 26 swinging strikes across only 89 total pitches. He's completed more than five innings in only three of his starts on the season, though he has still managed to pick up two wins and rack up 45 punch outs across 30.1 frames. While he's struggled to prevent runs in a few of his starts, Glasnow has now also allowed only one earned run in half of his appearances.

Rodon (back/forearm) tossed four scoreless innings in a rehab start with Double-A Somerset on Sunday, allowing one hit and striking out four batters without issuing a walk.

Rodon's second minor-league appearance went even better than his first, and he increased his pitch count slightly from 42 to 48. He threw 36 of those pitches for a strike Sunday, and he's tallied nine punchouts against just one walk and two hits while allowing only one run over seven frames in his first two rehab outings combined. Rodon appears to be on track for one more rehab start before making his Yankees debut July 5, though manager Aaron Boone wouldn't commit to that plan when asked early in the week, per Gary Phillips of the New York Daily News.

Kikuchi (7-2) earned the win Sunday, allowing one run on two hits and two walks over seven innings against the Athletics. He struck out eight.

Kikuchi lasted seven innings for the first time all season Sunday, giving up just one run to pick up his first win since May 30. The outing marked his second consecutive appearance allowing two hits while also being his second straight quality start. Over his last five appearances (32.2 innings), Kikuchi boasts a 2.48 ERA and a 37:11 K:BB despite dishing out six home runs. He's tentatively lined up for a home start against Boston late next week.
