Faedo (finger) will make a rehab start with Triple-A Toledo on Sunday, Chris McCosky of The Detroit News reports.

Sunday will mark Faedo's first rehab start since landing on the injured list June 3 due to finger problems. He was originally scheduled to pitch Tuesday with High-A West Michigan, but the game was cancelled due to poor air quality in the area, and the right-hander threw a three-inning sim game instead. If the Tigers want Faedo to make multiple rehab starts, he would rejoin the rotation after the All-Star break, but it's not clear if there will be room for him at that point with Tarik Skubal (elbow) and Eduardo Rodriguez (finger) also nearing returns.

Urquidy (shoulder) threw a 30-pitch bullpen session Friday, Matt Kawahara of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.

Urquidy logged his third bullpen session in a week Saturday as he slowly nears his return from the right shoulder injury that has sidelined him since early May. With the All-Star break around the corner, Urquidy is eligible to return when the Astros are back in action July 14 versus the Angels. The right-hander will likely need multiple rehab outings, which he seems to be on the cusp of starting. Prior to getting hurt, Urquidy struggled to a career-worst 5.20 ERA and 1.55 WHIP while striking out 23 batters over 27.2 innings in six starts this season.

Oakland placed Kaprielian on the 15-day injured list Friday with a right shoulder strain.

Kaprielian had been scheduled to start for the Athletics on Saturday against the White Sox, but he is now going to be sidelined through the All-Star break -- and probably much longer. The 29-year-old leaves behind a 6.34 ERA, 1.59 WHIP and 57:31 K:BB in 61 innings on the season.

Miller (elbow) was transferred Friday from the 15-day injured list to the 60-day injured list.

Miller resumed throwing earlier this month, but he still has a lot of hurdles to clear as he recovers from the UCL sprain that sent him to the injured list in May. Kirby Snead (shoulder) has been brought off the 60-day IL to fill the vacant spot on Oakland's 40-man roster.

Cortes (shoulder) is throwing a bullpen session Friday, Bryan Hoch of MLB.com reports.

Cortes has been cleared for mound work three weeks after hitting the injured list because of a left rotator cuff strain. He got through several flat-ground sessions without issue and could jump back into the Yankees' starting rotation before the end of July if everything continues to go smoothly.

The Royals recalled Marsh ahead of his start Friday against the Dodgers.

Friday will mark the 25-year-old righty's MLB debut after he put up a 2.40 ERA and 1.33 WHIP through 15 innings with Triple-A Omaha. Marsh will be filling in for Jordan Lyles, who was scratched from his scheduled start due to illness, and will most likely return to the minors after his spot start. James McArthur was optioned to Omaha in a corresponding move.

Ryu (elbow) is set to begin a minor-league rehab assignment next Tuesday, Scott Mitchell of TSN.ca reports.

It has yet to be determined where his first rehab outing will take place, but Ryu is finally ready to return to live action more than 12 months after undergoing Tommy John surgery on his left elbow. The veteran southpaw could be a candidate for the Blue Jays' starting rotation before the end of July if all goes well.

Quantrill was activated from the 15-day injured list Friday.

He will rejoin the Guardians' rotation for a road start against the Cubs after missing the last four weeks with right shoulder inflammation. Quantrill was sharp in his lone rehab outing, but he threw only 58 pitches so his workload figures to be limited Friday. Considering his 5.61 ERA in 11 starts this season, he's not a great fantasy play even before factoring in those restrictions.

Greinke did not factor into the decision Thursday, allowing two runs on 11 hits and two walks over six innings in a win over the Guardians. He did not record a strikeout.

Greinke was able to pitch his way out of trouble for most of the afternoon despite allowing a season-high 11 hits. The veteran righty didn't cough up any runs until the top of the fifth, when Jose Ramirez drove in Steven Kwan on a sacrifice fly and was followed by an RBI single from Josh Bell two batters later. It was Greinke's first time going six innings since April 5 against the Blue Jays and his first start this season in which he failed to record a strikeout.

Bieber did not factor into the decision Thursday, allowing two hits and one walk over six scoreless innings against the Royals. He struck out eight.

Bieber was locked in Thursday, retiring 10 of the first 12 batters he faced. Despite his efforts, the right-hander was unable to secure his sixth victory of the season, as Trevor Stephan blew the lead in the eighth inning and the Royals went on to win in the 10th. Bieber has now recorded eight strikeouts in each of his last two starts and wrapped up a solid June in which he logged a 2.90 ERA to go along with a 32:7 K:BB. However, he only has one win to show for it over those five June starts.
