Javier did not factor into the decision Sunday, allowing three runs on four hits and two walks over five innings against the Angels. He struck out seven.

Javier still didn't look his sharpest, but it was a decent start to his second half. Over his previous three starts, he was tagged with 18 runs in just 10.2 innings. Javier had also turned in nine straight outings with five or fewer punchouts prior to Sunday's performance. He now owns a 4.39 ERA and an 89:27 K:BB through 96.1 frames. Javier's next start is lined up to be in Oakland.

Perez allowed three runs on five hits and four walks while striking out two over five innings in a no-decision versus the Guardians on Sunday.

All three runs against Perez were knocked in by Steven Kwan. After a short outing versus Houston on July 3, Perez was skipped in the rotation before the All-Star break, and he was sloppy against a light-hitting lineup despite the extra time off. The southpaw now has a 4.84 ERA, 1.50 WHIP and 62:36 K:BB through 96.2 innings over 18 starts. Perez is lined up for a tough home start versus the Dodgers over the weekend.

Sears did not factor into the decision Sunday, allowing three runs on four hits over 6.1 innings against the Twins. He struck out seven.

Sears worked through four scoreless frames before allowing a pair of solo homers in the fifth inning. Entering Sunday's contest, he'd allowed two long balls over his previous 23.1 innings. Sears is quietly putting together a decent 2023 campaign; he's allowed three or fewer runs in nine of his last 11 outings, lowering his season ERA to 3.99 across 19 starts. Sears' next appearance is currently lined up to be at home against Houston.

Crawford (4-4) allowed a hit and walked four while striking out nine over six scoreless innings to earn the win Sunday over the Cubs.

It was an overall good start for Crawford, with both the walks and strikeouts being season highs. It's just the third time he's gone at least six innings this season. The 27-year-old right-hander has a 3.74 ERA, 1.13 WHIP and 67:17 K:BB through 67.1 innings over 18 appearances (10 starts). He's tentatively lined up for a home start against the Mets his next time out.

Ryan did not factor into the decision Sunday, allowing three runs on five hits and three walks over 5.1 innings against the Athletics. He struck out seven.

Ryan wasn't able to settle into a groove Sunday as he tied his season high with three walks issued. Since firing a shutout June 22, he's posted a 7.71 ERA in four outings. Dating back to May 30, he's gone 1-5 with a 5.61 ERA across nine starts. Ryan will carry a 3.77 ERA into his next appearance, which is currently slated to be at home against the White Sox.

Miller (6-3) allowed five hits and a walk over five scoreless frames Sunday, striking out three and earning a win over Detroit.

Miller showed no signs of rust in his first appearance since June 30 after a brief stint on the injured list. He didn't find himself in much trouble as he lowered his season ERA to 3.66 with his first win since June 18. The rookie has allowed three or fewer runs in 10 of his first 12 career MLB starts. Miller's next start is currently lined up to be at home against the Blue Jays.

Olson (1-3) allowed two runs on six hits across 5.1 innings to take the loss Sunday against the Mariners. He had no walks and struck out five.

Olson pitched pretty well but got no run support in the 2-0 defeat. The rookie was limited to just 75 pitches after working in long relief his last two appearances, though he may be able to build that number up if he sticks in the rotation moving forward. Olson has looked good lately, compiling a 2.33 ERA over his last five games (19.1 innings), lowering his season ERA to a solid 3.96. He's tentatively set to take the mound again Friday against the Padres.

Singer improved to 6-8 in Sunday's 8-4 win over the Rays after allowing four runs on seven hits and no walks while striking out four across eight innings.

Singer was staked to an early lead and never looked back. He held the Rays scoreless through seven innings before surrendering four straight hits -- including two home runs -- to open up the eighth, which resulted in four runs. Overall, it was an efficient outing for Singer, who needed just 92 pitches to record his third career start of eight innings or more. It was a great bounce-back effort after he'd ended the first half on a sour note. He's working on a 5.70 ERA, 1.50 WHIP and 81:35 K:BB in 102.2 innings this season and projects for a road start against the Yankees during the upcoming week.

Eflin (10-5) took the loss Sunday against the Royals, allowing five runs on seven hits in three innings. He did not strike out or walk a batter.

Eflin was pulled after just 46 pitches in his shortest start of the season. He tied his season high with seven hits allowed after the Royals pounced on him for one run in the first inning and four in the second while lacing three extra-base hits. Eflin had struck out at least five hitters in each of his last eight starts but wasn't fooling anyone Sunday, recording his second outing this year with zero strikeouts. He still holds a respectable 3.59 ERA, 1.03 WHIP and 105:15 K:BB in 105.1 innings and will look to bounce back in what projects to be a home matchup against Baltimore.

Bieber (elbow) will go two weeks without throwing but won't require surgery, Mandy Bell of MLB.com reports.

Bieber landed on the 15-day injured list Saturday due to right elbow inflammation and is considered week-to-week. While he'll require more than the minimum of 15 days on the IL given the length of his shutdown, it's encouraging that he won't require a procedure. A better idea of his return timetable will likely come into focus once he's able to resume throwing.
