Gausman (side) won't start during the Blue Jays' upcoming series against the Padres, Mitch Bannon of SI.com reports.

The Blue Jays recently said that Gausman isn't expected to require a trip to the injured list as he deals with left side discomfort, but manager John Schneider said Sunday that he wants to give the right-hander "a little bit of extra rest." The earliest Gausman may take the mound would be Friday in Seattle, but a firm date for his next start hasn't yet been revealed.

Cease (4-3) earned the win Sunday, allowing a run on three hits and three walks over five innings against Atlanta. He struck out six.

It was a strong bounce-back performance from Cease against a powerful Atlanta lineup after he allowed five runs on 11 hits to the Cardinals in his last start before the All-Star break. Overall, the 27-year-old right-hander has been solid of late, allowing two runs or fewer in six of his previous eight outings. Cease lowered his ERA to 4.18 with a 1.34 WHIP and 129:45 K:BB across 15 starts (81.1 innings) this season. He's tentatively lined up to face the Twins on the road in his next start.

Bradish (6-4) earned the win Sunday, allowing three hits and a walk over 7.1 scoreless innings against the Marlins. He struck out eight.

Bradish picked up where he left off before the All-Star break. He's now delivered consecutive scoreless outings while pitching to a 1.41 ERA over his last six starts (38.1 innings). The 26-year-old lowered his ERA to 3.05 on the season with a 1.13 WHIP and 87:24 K:BB. Bradish will look to keep rolling in his next outing, currently lined up for next week in Tampa Bay.

Orioles manager Brandon Hyde said Irvin will move to the bullpen with Grayson Rodriguez set to rejoin the rotation Monday, Jacob Calvin Meyer of The Baltimore Sun reports.

Irvin pitched to a 2.92 ERA and 1.22 WHIP over six outings between June 10 and July 7, working as a starter in five of those appearances. Despite the strong results, the Orioles want to give their top pitching prospect another chance to prove himself, so Irvin is now expected to serve as a multi-inning relief option. The southpaw could still rejoin the rotation later if injuries or poor performance arise.

The Mariners reinstated Miller (finger) from the 15-day injured list Sunday, Ryan Divish of The Seattle Times reports.

A blister on Miller's right middle finger has kept him out of action since June 30, but he'll return to start Sunday against Detroit after a minimum 15-day stint on the IL. The 24-year-old righty holds a 3.97 ERA and 0.95 WHIP through 59 innings on the year, and he'll get to face a Tigers offense that ranks 28th in OPS. Matt Festa was optioned to Triple-A Tacoma in a corresponding move.

Toussaint is scheduled to start Wednesday's game against the Mets at Citi Field.

Toussaint will open the White Sox's post-All-Star-break schedule as the team's No. 5 starter, though it's possible that he'll be deployed in a piggyback capacity with Jesse Scholtens if Scholtens isn't need in relief in Sunday's series finale in Atlanta or in Tuesday's series opener with the Mets. Since joining the White Sox in late June, Toussaint has compiled a 3.10 ERA, 1.23 WHIP and 20:13 K:BB across 20.1 innings.

The Orioles will recall Rodriguez from Triple-A Norfolk on Monday to start against the Dodgers, Steve Melewski of MASNSports.com reports.

Rodriguez was sent down to the minors in late May after accumulating a 7.35 ERA and 1.74 WHIP through 45.1 innings across 10 starts to begin his MLB career. Since then, he's put up a 1.69 ERA and 0.99 WHIP through 37.1 frames in Triple-A -- good enough to reclaim a spot in Baltimore's rotation. A corresponding move has yet to be announced.

Battenfield (shoulder) struck out two over 4.2 innings while allowing an earned run on three hits and no walks in his most recent rehab start July 9 for Double-A Akron.

Battenfield built up to 67 pitches (40 strikes) in the rehab outing, his second since he landed on the 15-day injured list May 19 with right shoulder inflammation. Because he was later transferred to the 60-day IL, Battenfield won't be eligible for activation until Tuesday, but the Guardians may want the right-hander to make one more rehab start before rejoining the big club. Once activated, Battenfield could step into the rotation spot vacated by Shane Bieber (elbow), who was placed on the 15-day IL on Saturday.

Williams (1-2) took the loss Saturday, allowing two runs on four hits and four walks over five innings against the Rangers. He struck out four.

Williams got himself into trouble right away, surrendering a leadoff single to Marcus Semien in the bottom of the first, followed by a double to Corey Seager and a walk to Nathaniel Lowe. The rookie right-hander managed to escape the inning with only one run allowed before once again allowing hits to each of the first two batters in the second, leading to the Rangers' second run of the afternoon. Williams was able to settle in over the next three innings, retiring nine of the 10 hitters he faced over that stretch, though the Guardians would fail to back him with any run support as he went on to take his second loss of the season. He's now allowed at least two runs in each of his last three starts, though he's also managed to go at least five innings in all five of his starts to begin his rookie campaign.

Heaney (6-6) earned the win Saturday, allowing six hits and one walk over 5.1 scoreless innings against Cleveland. He struck out four.

Heaney was able to keep the Guardians at bay for 5.1 innings despite allowing six hits, doing most of the damage with his four-seamer. It was the lefty's fourth time this season in which he did not allow a run over five or more innings of work. It was also a nice rebound start after he allowed eight runs (seven earned) in his previous outing before the All-Star break. On the downside, Heaney still has not made it through six innings in a start since May 21 against the Rockies.
