The Rangers have yet to decide whether Eovaldi (groin) will require a minor-league rehab assignment before being activated from the 15-day injured list, MLB.com reports.

Eovaldi has been on the shelf since May 3 with a strained right groin. Though Eovaldi didn't return from the IL in the minimum 15 days like manager Bruce Bochy had initially suggested could be the case, the veteran right-hander might be able to avoid a rehab assignment prior to being activated. He traveled with the Rangers this weekend and threw a bullpen session Friday at Target Field, and he'll presumably be reassessed when the team returns to Arlington ahead of its two-game home series versus the Diamondbacks that begins Tuesday.

Nastrini is scheduled to start Monday's game against the Blue Jays in Chicago, Ben Nicholson-Smith of Sportsnet.ca reports.

He'll be getting a second straight turn through the rotation -- and a second straight matchup with the Blue Jays -- despite giving up nine runs (eight earned) on seven hits and six walks over 3.1 innings upon being called up from Triple-A Charlotte ahead of last Wednesday's game in Toronto. Nastrini has shown the ability to make bats miss at a high clip at every stop of the minor-league ladder, but he's often struggled with his control. Walks have been an even greater concern for Nastrini through his first three big-league outings, as he's already issued 13 free passes in just 11.1 innings.

Houck did not factor into the decision Sunday against Milwaukee, allowing one earned run on seven hits and one walk through six innings. He struck out seven.

Houck was excellent yet again, marking his third consecutive start allowing one earned run or fewer. The 27-year-old has not allowed a home run since April 12, and his microscopic 0.14 HR/9 leads the league. Houck (4-5) now owns a 1.90 ERA and 0.99 WHIP in 71 innings this year. He is tentatively scheduled for a home start against Detroit next weekend.

Brubaker (elbow) threw two simulated innings at extended spring training Saturday, the Associated Press reports.

Brubaker is hopeful to return from the 60-day injured list around the All-Star break as he continues to make strides in his recovery from his April 12, 2023 Tommy John surgery. He already has multiple live sessions under his belt and could soon begin an extended minor-league rehab assignment within the next couple of weeks. Brubaker posted a 4.69 ERA over 144 innings in his last healthy season with the Pirates in 2022, but the Yankees are likely viewing him as more of an insurance policy in the rotation rather than counting on him to make starts for the big club once he's activated.

Curry is scheduled to start Monday's game against the Rockies at Coors Field.

With Carlos Carrasco (neck) recently joining the likes of Gavin Williams (elbow) and Shane Bieber (elbow) on the injured list, Curry will end up getting at least one more turn through the rotation. After being called up from Triple-A Columbus last Tuesday, Curry started later that day against the Mets and gave up two runs on seven hits and zero walks over 4.1 innings in a no-decision. He'll tentatively line up for two starts this week, with his second turn expected to come next Sunday versus the Nationals.

Javier is dealing with forearm discomfort and didn't throw his scheduled bullpen session Sunday, Matt Kawahara of the Houston Chronicle reports.

Manager Joe Espada said Javier is day-to-day, but the right-hander would appear to be at significant risk of missing his next turn through the rotation Tuesday in Seattle. Chandler Rome of The Athletic speculates Hunter Brown could start Tuesday on four days' rest, with Eric Lauer a possibility to be called up from Triple-A Sugar Land to fill Javier's turn in the rotation Wednesday.

Crochet (5-5) allowed two runs on three hits and a walk while striking out 11 over six innings to take the loss Sunday versus the Orioles.

Crochet was able to extend his scoreless streak to 24 innings, which began with his last two frames versus the Cardinals on May 5. It came to a close when Adley Rutschman took him deep in the sixth inning of Sunday's contest, and that was enough to snap Crochet's four-start winning streak as well. On the bright side, he earned a fifth straight quality start and reached double-digit strikeouts for the third time this year. Crochet is at a 3.68 ERA, 0.93 WHIP and 85:14 K:BB through 63.2 innings over 12 starts this season. He's projected to make his next start on the road versus the Brewers.

Bradish (1-0) earned the win over the White Sox on Sunday, pitching seven no-hit and scoreless innings. He walked four and struck out 11.

The start of the game was delayed due to rain, but that didn't throw Bradish out of his rhythm. He threw 63 of 103 pitches for strikes while generating 13 whiffs. While the four walks were a season high for the right-hander, it's nothing to be concerned about given his overall dominance in the contest. He's now at a 1.75 ERA, 1.05 WHIP and 34:11 K:BB through 25.2 innings across five starts this season. Bradish is projected to make his next start at home versus the Rays.

Lopez (4-5) allowed six runs on seven hits and one walk while striking out six over 4.2 innings, taking the loss Sunday versus the Rangers.

Corey Seager led the charge against Lopez with two home runs and three RBI. Lopez has now allowed 16 runs and 25 hits over his last 16 innings, with five of those knocks being homers. He had a 3.89 ERA after his May 9 start versus the Mariners, but it's now at 5.25 with a 1.17 WHIP and 69:10 K:BB through 60 innings across 11 outings this season. Lopez is projected to make his next start on the road versus the Astros.

Garabito allowed a run on two hits and four walks while striking out two over 3.2 innings in a no-decision versus the Twins on Sunday.

Garabito threw 49 of 84 pitches for strikes in the contest, which was his major-league debut. The right-hander walked a batter in each inning, but he was able to limit the damage until he gave up a pair of hits to begin the fourth. It's unclear how long Garabito will be in the majors. He may not be needed to stick around if Michael Lorenzen (knee) and Jose Urena (lower leg) are able to make their next scheduled starts, as the Rangers have three off days between this Monday and June 6. Nathan Eovaldi (groin) began mound work May 17 and could also be nearing a return if he doesn't require a rehab assignment.
