Little walked one and stuck out four over 1.1 scoreless, no-hit innings Monday to record his first hold of the season in a win over the Astros.

Mason Fluharty, the Blue Jays' top left-handed reliever, had worked the previous two days, so Little got a rare high-leverage opportunity and rose to the challenge. Over five appearances since returning to the big-league bullpen after the All-Star break, Little has a 2.45 ERA, 1.23 WHIP and 11:3 K:BB over just 7.1 innings, so he could be earning a more prominent spot in a setup crew that just saw Jeff Hoffman traded to the Twins, and which looks increasingly unlikely to get Yimi Garcia (elbow/neck/biceps) back in 2026.

Jameson (hip) threw a 25-pitch bullpen session recently and will progress to a simulated game Tuesday, Jack Sommers of SI.com reports.

Right hip inflammation has kept Jameson out of commission for the past two weeks, but he's progressing well. A rehab assignment looks to be right around the corner, with a return to the Diamondbacks not long after that if he continues on his current trajectory.

The Nationals acquired Glassey from the Orioles on Monday in exchange for outfielder Christian Franklin, Andy Kostka of TheBanner.com reports.

Glassey, 25, has been old for his levels this season, but the righty reliever has a 2.64 ERA, 1.11 WHIP and 53:8 K:BB in 30.2 innings between High-A and Double-A. He has only logged 2.1 innings at Double-A, but given his age, he could reach Triple-A before the end of 2026.

Seymour (8-3) earned the win Monday, allowing two runs on seven hits and no walks over six innings against the Rockies. He struck out nine.

Pitching at hitter-friendly Coors Field, Seymour was able to limit the damage while recording his second-highest strikeout total of the season. The Rays have used the southpaw both as a starter and bulk reliever since inserting him into the rotation in early June. Overall, Seymour owns a 4.27 ERA, 1.13 WHIP and 99:28 K:BB across 84.1 innings (37 appearances, eight starts) and is tentatively scheduled to pitch Sunday against the Mariners.

Rogers picked up the save Monday against the Astros. He did not record a strikeout over a perfect inning.

With Louis Varland presumably unavailable, Rogers was called upon to pitch the ninth inning and retired the side in order to pick up his third save. The soft-tossing right-hander has been impressively reliable as a setup man this year, posting a 1.62 ERA, 1.08 WHIP and 27:14 K:BB while recording 23 holds across 50 innings.

Montgomery secured the save Monday against the Brewers, allowing one hit and no walks in a scoreless ninth inning. He struck out three.

Montgomery notably entered the game after Gregory Soto and new addition Camilo Doval on Monday. The Pirates will also soon be adding another high-leverage option in Luke Weaver, acquired from the Mets at the trade deadline, so the team's closer hierarchy could undergo a shake-up. Montgomery has a 3.72 ERA, 1.20 WHIP and 72:21 K:BB over 46 innings with three saves in five chances.

Quantrill (4-4) allowed three runs (one earned) on four hits and one walk while striking out four batters over six innings in a loss to San Francisco on Monday.

Quantrill was hurt by two errors behind him in the second inning, allowing the Giants to scored a pair of unearned runs. The only other time San Francisco scored against him was when Jung Hoo Lee swatted a solo homer in the third. Quantrill retired 11 of the 13 batters he faced following that homer, but Texas' offense couldn't provide enough runs to take the righty off the hook. Despite the loss, Quantrill recorded his second quality start of the campaign (though it's worth nothing that he didn't move into the rotation until late June). He's produced a respectable 3.31 ERA over 35.1 frames since then, with all but one of his eight appearances coming as a starter. It remains to be seen, though, if Quantrill will remain in the rotation when Jordan Montgomery (elbow), Cody Bradford (elbow) and/or Jack Leiter (ankle) return from the injured list.

Duran secured the save Monday against the Nationals, working around a hit batsman in a scoreless ninth inning. He struck out two.

After giving up three runs while blowing a save last week against Miami, Duran has looked more like his usual self since then. The star closer has turned in back-to-back hitless outings, and he's been scored upon on just that one occasion in his last 17 appearances now. Duran boasts a 1.93 ERA, 0.96 WHIP and 55:6 K:BB over 37.1 innings with 25 saves in 27 attempts.

The Yankees optioned Chivilli to Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre following Monday's 13-7 loss to the Cardinals.

New York will presumably call up another reliever from Triple-A to replace Chivilli, who was rocked for six earned runs on five hits and one walk while working an inning out of the bullpen Monday. The 24-year-old righty now owns a 3.78 ERA, 1.26 WHIP and 16:7 K:BB in 16.2 innings in the big leagues this season.

The Nationals optioned Yean to Triple-A Rochester following Monday's 6-3 loss to the Phillies.

After just under two weeks with the big-league club, Yean will head back to Triple-A. The 25-year-old appeared in six games during his latest stint in Washington, posting a 2.25 ERA, 0.75 WHIP and 3:1 K:BB in eight innings.
