Urquidy (2-1) earned the loss after giving up five runs on six hits and four walks through three innings. He struck out two.

After throwing six scoreless innings with eight strikeouts in his last outing Wednesday against the Cubs, Urquidy lasted just three innings Monday. The 31-year-old has made just three appearances in his short tenure with the White Sox, this being his first start. In those three games, Urquidy has posted a 5.68 ERA, 1.34 WHIP and 13:4 K:BB over 12.2 innings. The right-hander is slated to make his next start Saturday against the Twins.

Rodriguez (elbow) was activated from the 60-day injured list Wednesday.

Rodriguez underwent Tommy John surgery in the spring of 2025, and he's since wrapped up his rehab. He's made two appearances for Double-A Hartford since his activation, allowing three runs on three hits and one walk while striking out four over 2.2 innings.

Chapman secured the save Monday against Miami, allowing no runs on one hit and no walks in the ninth inning. He struck out one.

Chapman gave up his first hit since Aug. 9 versus the Athletics, but he still hung on for the save. The All-Star southpaw hasn't blown a save since June 28 against the Yankees, continuing to show no signs of slowing down at 38 years old. Chapman has a 1.81 ERA, 1.16 WHIP and 58:20 K:BB with 30 saves in 32 opportunities over 44.2 innings, and he's three saves away from joining the 400-save club.

Fairbanks left Monday's 4-2 loss to the Boston due to nerve irritation in his right hand, Stephen Strom of Marlins Radio Network reports. He was dealt his fifth loss of the season and was charged with one earned run after walking the lone batter he faced.

After spotting just one of his five pitches for strikes while facing Mickey Gasper to lead off the ninth inning, Fairbanks was visited on the mound by manager Clayton McCullough and was pulled from the contest. The Marlins provided an explanation for Fairbanks' early exit after the game, with the nerve irritation seemingly related to an issue he dealt with earlier in the season. Fairbanks previously felt discomfort in his hand following an April 27 appearance against the Dodgers and was placed on the 15-day injured list a day later due to nerve irritation. According to the Associated Press, the Marlins will send Fairbanks in for further tests Tuesday before determining whether he'll require a return trip to the shelf.

Baker secured the save Monday against Detroit, allowing one hit and no walks in a scoreless ninth inning. He struck out two.

Baker also hit a batter, allowing the possible tying run to get to the plate, but he caught Spencer Torkelson looking for the game's final out. The All-Star right-hander still hasn't blown a save since May 13 in Toronto. Through 52 innings, Baker sports a 1.56 ERA, 0.88 WHIP and 58:16 K:BB with an MLB-leading 38 saves in 41 opportunities.

Rainey tossed two scoreless innings of relief in Monday's 4-1 loss to the Rays. He walked two and struck out two.

Since having his contract selected from Triple-A Toledo earlier this month, Rainey has pitched well for the Tigers. He's now strung together 6.2 scoreless innings across five appearances and has struck out six batters. Rainey doesn't have a ton of fantasy value at the moment in his middle-relief role, but he could be auditioning for higher-leverage work in 2027 if he continues to perform well down the stretch.

Fairbanks left Monday's game against the Red Sox after suffering an apparent injury, Isaac Azout of FishOnFirst.com reports.

Fairbanks called for the trainer after issuing a walk to the lone batter he faced in the top of the ninth inning, and he walked off the mound to the clubhouse after a brief conversation. The nature of the injury is unknown at this time, but he'll presumably be sent for further evaluation after exiting.

Bachman (forearm) has yet to resume mound work, Rhett Bollinger of MLB.com reports.

Bachman was cleared to begin a throwing program two weeks ago, and while he has continued to throw, the Angels reported Monday that he's yet to toss off a mound since landing on the injured list. He'll need to complete at least a few bullpen sessions and then progress to facing live hitters before being activated, which likely means he's looking at a return at some point in early-to-mid September if all goes to plan.

Burgos was recalled from Triple-A Reno prior to Monday's game against the Cubs.

Burgos was sent down in late July and didn't show much improvement while pitching for Reno, accruing a 10.80 ERA and 2.04 WHIP with nine strikeouts over 8.1 innings. However, Arizona is in need of a fresh arm after optioning Mitch Bratt, opening up a roster spot for Burgos.

Brubaker was placed on the 15-day injured list Monday due to bruised ribs, Shayna Rubin of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.

It's not clear at this time when Brubaker picked up the rib injury, but it'll cost him some time on the shelf. Ryan Walker was recalled to take Brubaker's place in the bullpen ahead of Monday's game against Cincinnati.
