  • Nationals' Eddy Yean: Back in majors

The Nationals recalled Yean from Triple-A Rochester on Tuesday. The right-hander received his first promotion to the majors July 5 and made his debut that day versus Pittsburgh, firing two scoreless frames before returning to Rochester. Yean has pitched to a 3.35 ERA, 1.09 WHIP and 47:20 K:BB across 43 innings for Rochester this year, and it may not take much for him to stick around Washington's bullpen given the immense struggles the unit has gone through this year.

  • Nationals' Eddy Yean: Sent back to Triple-A

The Nationals optioned Yean to Triple-A Rochester following Sunday's 11-5 loss to the Pirates. Yean was recalled from Triple-A prior to Sunday's game. He was brought in for the third inning and looked good in his major-league debut, allowing one walk and zero hits while striking out three across two scoreless frames. Yean will head back to Rochester but could return to the majors when the Nationals need more right-handed depth out of the bullpen.

  • Nationals' Eddy Yean: Receives first big-league call-up

The Nationals selected Yean's contract from Triple-A Rochester on Sunday. Washington designated outfielder Robert Hassell for assignment to clear room on the 40-man roster for Yean, who will be making his MLB debut when he gets into a game. The 25-year-old righty earned his first call-up after submitting a 3.69 ERA, 1.18 WHIP and 43:19 K:BB in 39 innings over 38 relief appearances for Rochester.

  • Nationals' Eddy Yean: Signs with Washington

Yean signed a minor-league contract with the Nationals on Saturday, Francys Romero of BeisbolFR.com reports. Yean was traded from Washington to Pittsburgh back in 2020 as part of the return for Josh Bell, and the former will now return to the organization with which he began his professional career. The 24-year-old righty turned in a 2.86 ERA and 1.55 WHIP across 69.1 innings at Triple-A Indianapolis in 2025 and will likely report to Triple-A Rochester to begin 2026.
