Diamondbacks' Bryce Jarvis: Heads back to Triple-A
The Diamondbacks optioned Jarvis to Triple-A Reno on Wednesday.
Jarvis tossed 66 pitches across four innings of relief in last Sunday's 4-0 loss to the Royals. He allowed three hits and two walks while striking out a pair in the scoreless outing. Jarvis has a 4.40 ERA and 13:7 K:BB across 14.1 innings of work with Arizona this season.

Diamondbacks' Andrew Saalfrank: Recalled from Triple-A
The Diamondbacks recalled Saalfrank from Triple-A Reno on Wednesday.
In a corresponding move, Arizona optioned Bryce Jarvis to Triple-A. Saalfrank has yet to pitch in the big leagues this season and has struggled with his command at Reno, logging a 7.15 ERA and 14:10 K:BB across 11.1 innings of work. He'll fill a middle-relief role with the Diamondbacks.

Dodgers' Tanner Scott: Takes blown save Wednesday
Scott was charged with a blown save in Wednesday's 10-inning loss to Milwaukee. He allowed a run on three hits while striking out two over 1.1 innings.
Scott entered the game with two outs in the eighth inning and induced a groundout from Christian Yelich to strand the potential tying run on second base. However, it was a different story for Scott in the ninth, when he allowed a run on three singles to take his sixth blown save this season. The left-hander has struggled recently, allowing three runs on six hits in his last two appearances (two innings). Scott's ERA sits at 3.86 through 42 innings this year with a 1.12 WHIP and 47:7 K:BB while going 18-for-24 in save chances.

Angels' Hunter Strickland: Transferred to 60-day IL
The Angels transferred Strickland (shoulder) to the 60-day injured list Wednesday.
Strickland has been diagnosed with a "significant strain" in his right shoulder, according to Rhett Bollinger of MLB.com, and now won't be eligible to return from the injured list until sometime in early September. The Angels needed the 40-man roster spot in order to select the contract of reliever Carson Fulmer from Triple-A Salt Lake.

Angels' Sam Aldegheri: Sent back to Double-A
The Angels optioned Aldegheri to Double-A Rocket City on Wednesday.
Aldegheri tossed two innings of relief in Tuesday's 13-1 loss to the Rangers and allowed five earned runs on five hits and four walks. He struck out two of the 15 batters in which he faced and threw a total of 64 pitches. The Angels needed a fresh bullpen arm and selected the contract of veteran reliever Carson Fulmer.

Angels' Carson Fulmer: Contract selected by LAA
The Angels selected Fulmer's contract from Triple-A Salt Lake on Wednesday.
Fulmer began the season in the Pirates' organization but was released last month and then signed a minor-league deal with the Angels. He appeared in nine games for Salt Lake, registering a 1.54 ERA and 12:6 K:BB across 11.2 innings of work. Fulmer will fill a middle-relief role for the Halos.

Guardians' Kolby Allard: Back with Cleveland on MiLB deal
Allard re-signed with the Guardians on a minor-league contract Wednesday, Paul Hoynes of The Cleveland Plain Dealer reports.
Allard was DFA'd by Cleveland last Thursday and elected free agency after clearing waivers. He's decided to return to the Guardians on a minor-league deal after logging a 2.55 ERA and 16:8 K:BB across 35.1 innings of work with the big-league club this season.

White Sox's Jordan Leasure: Picks up second save
Leasure earned the save in Wednesday's 2-1 win over Toronto, allowing one hit while striking out two in a scoreless ninth inning.
He made quick work of the Blue Jays after Grant Taylor successfully faced down Bo Bichette and Vladimir Guerrero in the eighth inning, with Leasure striking out the first two batters he faced before working around an Alejandro Kirk single. It's the second save of the year for Leasure and his first since May 20. The 26-year-old right-hander sports a 4.18 ERA with a 1.55 WHIP and 39 strikeouts through 32.1 innings this season.

Blue Jays' Ryan Burr: Headed for MRI on shoulder
Burr exited Wednesday's 2-1 loss to the White Sox with a shoulder injury and will travel back to Toronto to undergo an MRI, Keegan Matheson of MLB.com reports.
Burr missed most of the first half of the season with a shoulder injury and recently returned from the 60-day injured list to make his 2025 debut in Sunday's 3-2 win over the Angels. The righty threw 15 pitches Wednesday, recording two outs without allowing a baserunner before exiting due to the shoulder issue.

Keegan Akin RP | BAL
Orioles' Keegan Akin: Gets injection in shoulder
Orioles interim manager Tony Mansolino said Wednesday that Akin will be shut down 5-to-7 days after receiving an injection in his injured left shoulder, Roch Kubatko of MASNSports.com reports.
The hope is that the injection will speed along the healing process and allow Akin to begin a rehab assignment after the All-Star break. Akin has put up a 3.38 ERA and 38:18 K:BB over 38 innings out of the bullpen in 2025.
