Weathers was optioned to Triple-A Jacksonville on Wednesday, Jordan McPherson of the Miami Herald reports.

Weathers was knocked around in a start Monday against his former team, the Padres, and now finds himself back in the minors. The left-hander has collected an ugly 7.32 ERA in 14 appearances this season for San Diego and Miami.

Nance (shoulder) was activated from the 60-day injured list Wednesday, Jordan McPherson of the Miami Herald reports.

Nance has been out all season with a shoulder injury and dealt with multiple starts and stops along the way during his rehab. He reeled off 7.2 scoreless innings during his recent rehab stint with Triple-A Jacksonville, though, clearing the way for his addition to the Marlins' bullpen.

Gibaut retired the only batter he faced in Tuesday's win against the Angels to secure his 18th hold. He did not record a strikeout.

Gibaut entered in the eighth inning and quickly retired Brandon Drury on three pitches. He has become a favorite of manager David Bell and is up to a team-leading 57 appearances this year. The 29-year-old has been a steady contributor since the All-Star break with a 3.07 ERA, 0.89 WHIP and 15:2 K:BB in 14.2 innings.

Rosenberg was recalled from Triple-A Salt Lake on Wednesday.

Rosenberg will serve as the 27th man for the Angels in Wednesday's doubleheader versus the Reds. The left-hander made an extended relief appearance for the Halos earlier this month, allowing four runs over five frames. He'll be available to absorb multiple innings Wednesday.

The Athletics transferred Lovelady (forearm) from the 15-day injured list to the 60-day IL on Wednesday.

Lovelady's move to the 60-day IL was merely a formality after he had already been ruled out for the season with a strained left forearm. The transaction opens up a spot on the 40-man roster for left-hander Sean Newcomb, whose contract was selected from Triple-A Las Vegas on Wednesday.

Harris was optioned to Triple-A Las Vegas on Wednesday.

Harris was called up from Las Vegas on Tuesday and picked up a win as a bulk reliever in the Athletics' victory over the Royals, but he finds himself back in the minors a day later. The Athletics are expected to treat Wednesday's series finale as a bullpen day, so Harris will be swapped off the 26-man active roster for a fresh arm in lefty Sean Newcomb, whose contract was selected from Triple-A.

The Athletics selected Newcomb's contract from Triple-A Las Vegas on Wednesday.

After being acquired from the Giants on Monday, Newcomb was initially assigned to Las Vegas but didn't make an appearance for the Triple-A affiliate before getting the call to the Oakland bullpen. He'll be available for Wednesday's game against the Royals as a multi-inning option behind right-hander Adrian Martinez, who isn't likely to work deep into the contest for what will be his first start of the season. Newcomb compiled a 3.16 ERA, 1.41 WHIP and 40:20 K:BB in 31.1 innings at Triple-A Sacramento this season prior to the Giants trading him.

Milner tossed a scoreless eighth inning in Tuesday's 7-3 victory over the Twins.

Milner got the eighth inning Tuesday with the Brewers up four runs, and he avoided allowing an earned run for the 49th time in 58 appearances this season. Milner is not working in a fantasy-friendly role, but he has been outstanding out of Milwaukee's bullpen, posting a 2.26 ERA, 1.03 WHIP and 47:11 K:BB over 51.2 innings in 2023.

Littell did not factor into the decision Tuesday, allowing four runs on seven hits and one walk over 5.1 innings against the Rockies. He struck out six.

Littell induced a second-inning popup by Nolan Jones that landed just inside the left-field foul line, resulting in an unfortunate triple due to miscommunication between Tampa's young infield tandem of Osleivis Basabe and Curtis Mead. Jones would score on a sacrifice fly before Michael Toglia hit a solo homer. Littell conceded two more earned runs in the sixth and was on track for the loss before Tampa Bay's offensive explosion in the eighth turned the game into a blowout victory for the Rays. In five starts since joining the rotation July 30, the 27-year-old righty has posted a 3.54 ERA, 1.07 WHIP and 21:2 K:BB across 28 innings. Littell is tentatively slated to make his next start at home against the Yankees over the weekend.

Wilson (5-0) threw two scoreless innings of relief and picked up the win in Tuesday's victory over the Twins. He struck out three batters and did not allow a runner to reach base.

Wilson entered Tuesday's contest in the sixth inning with Milwaukee trailing by a run, and he wound up with his fifth win of the campaign after five Brewers crossed the plate in the bottom of the same frame. Wilson had a few rough outings in recent weeks, but he tossed six scoreless innings over his last four appearances and now owns a 3.15 ERA and 1.08 WHIP over 60 innings this season.
