Stanek (ankle) will throw a bullpen session Wednesday, Chandler Rome of The Athletic reports.

Stanek landed on the 15-day injured list after spraining his right ankle early last week, but it's looking like he'll have a shot to return when his 15 days are up. He holds a 4.07 ERA and 49:21 K:BB over 48.2 innings this season.

Bolton was optioned to Triple-A Indianapolis on Wednesday.

Bolton has fanned 21 batters in 19.1 innings this season but has otherwise struggled mightily, posting a 6.52 ERA and 2.22 WHIP with 15 walks. He's being replaced on the roster by Quinn Priester.

Wantz will serve as the Angels' opening pitcher Wednesday in Seattle, Rhett Bollinger of MLB.com reports.

The Angels haven't designated a bulk reliever to work behind Wantz, but Jose Suarez (shoulder) -- who was activated from the 60-day injured list Monday -- could be the top option to fill multiple innings out of the bullpen. Wantz holds a 4.13 ERA and 24:11 K:BB over 28.1 frames for the Halos this season.

Stewart (elbow) is headed to Triple-A St. Paul to begin a rehab assignment, Do-Hyoung Park of MLB.com reports.

Stewart hasn't appeared in a game in nearly three months while dealing with elbow tendinitis and a subsequent setback. It appears he's made some recent progress, though, and he would seem to have a shot to make it back before the end of the regular season. Stewart has been a pleasant surprise out of the Twins' bullpen this season with a 0.70 ERA and 35:11 K:BB over 25.2 innings of work.

Clarke (3-5) allowed two runs (one earned) on one hit and one walk while striking out two over one inning to earn the win in Game 2 of Tuesday's doubleheader against the White Sox.

After the Royals established a 9-0 lead early on, it seemed like starter Jordan Lyles would cruise to the victory. That cruise hit a bumpy road in the sixth inning, and while Clarke couldn't prevent the game from getting tied, he ended up with the win when the Royals pulled ahead again in the seventh. Clarke has allowed four runs (three earned) over his last three innings. He's now at a 5.53 ERA, 1.60 WHIP and 59:23 K:BB with 11 holds and three blown saves over 53.2 innings this year.

Vespi was recalled from Triple-A Norfolk on Wednesday.

Vespi is taking Cole Irvin's spot in the Orioles' bullpen. The left-hander holds a 4.30 ERA over nine appearances for Baltimore this season.

The Cubs released Uceta on Tuesday.

Uceta was removed from the Cubs' 40-man roster last month and will now part ways with the organization altogether. The reliever allowed nine runs over five innings during his brief time with Triple-A Iowa.

Angels manager Phil Nevin said Monday that Silseth (concussion) won't be an option to start Wednesday's series finale in Seattle, Jeff Fletcher of The Orange County Register reports. "There's just little minor things that are still affecting him a little bit," Nevin said of Silseth. "He's building up his workouts. He's building up his bullpens...got to get through everything without any sort of discomfort and any uneasiness."

Silseth has seemingly made progress in his recovery from the concussion since landing on the 7-day injured list Aug. 29, but the young right-hander looks like he won't be an option to pitch this week while he continues to build his arm back up following the recent shutdown. The Angels will thus need to break in a new starter into their six-man rotation Wednesday, though a replacement has yet to be named.

Hernandez picked up the save in Tuesday's 11-10 victory over the White Sox. He allowed one run on a hit and a walk while striking out one over one inning.

Hernandez allowed a run for a fourth straight appearance, though he'd manage to hang on to a one-run lead Tuesday, earning his fourth save. It's been a tough run for Hernandez, who's allowed six runs in his last 2.2 innings while blowing two saves in that span. His ERA is up to 4.87 with a 1.21 WHIP and 75:26 K:BB this season. While Hernandez should still see high-leverage work in Kansas City, it's hard to trust him for fantasy purposes.

Ottavino struck out one over 1.2 perfect innings Tuesday to record his 10th save of the season in a 7-4 win over the Diamondbacks.

Entering the game with the bases loaded and one out in the eighth inning, Ottavino got Corbin Carroll to ground into a double play to escape the jam, then breezed through the heart of the Arizona order in the ninth. The veteran righty has the Mets' last three saves, with Drew Smith being the last pitcher other than Ottavino to collect one back on Sept. 1, and barring a late-season cameo from Edwin Diaz (knee), he'll likely remain the team's closer the rest of the way.
