Rogers has hit a batter, allowed one hit and struck out one over two scoreless innings in Cactus League play.

Rogers is set to resume his role as a setup man in 2024. He's recorded 85 holds and 18 saves over the last four seasons. Rogers had a 3.04 ERA, 1.15 WHIP and 60:19 K:BB over 74 innings in 2023 as one of the Giants' most-used relievers. The submariner doesn't have overpowering stuff, but he rarely gives up hard contact. Pitching at Oracle Park half the time will usually help to keep the ball in the yard on the rare occasions opposing hitters can square one up.

Doval has allowed a hit and a walk while striking out three over two scoreless innings in Cactus League play.

The Giants did some minor retooling in the bullpen, but not to a level that would threaten Doval's job security as closer. He had 39 saves in 47 chances last season while pitching to a 2.93 ERA, 1.14 WHIP and 87:26 K:BB over 67.2 innings. Doval will be supported by Taylor Rogers and Tyler Rogers primarily in the late innings, while Amir Garrett could also be a factor if he finds consistency with the Giants, though he is on a minor-league deal this spring.

Clase has allowed two hits and struck out four batters over his first two Cactus League appearances.

Clase saved 44 of his 56 opportunities last season, and while it wasn't the dominance he displayed in the previous two years, he was never at risk of losing ninth-inning duties. Clase should continue in the closer role this season. James Karinchak (shoulder) and Trevor Stephan (elbow) are already banged up in the spring, leaving Scott Barlow as the Guardians' top option for saves when Clase is unavailable.

Lamet (visa issues) is scheduled to pitch in Sunday's Cactus League game against the Rockies, Eric Stephen of SBNation.com reports.

Lamet was a late arrival to spring training due to visa issues, but he's now in camp and will make his Cactus League debut Sunday. The 31-year-old had an 11.71 ERA in 17 appearances (four starts) between the Red Sox and Rockies last season, and he'll need an impressive showing during spring training to have a chance of making the Dodgers' roster.

The Yankees optioned Gomez to Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre on Sunday.

Gomez made his MLB debut late last season with a scoreless two-inning appearance but was never a likely bet to crack the Yankees' Opening Day roster. He made one Grapefruit League appearance with New York during spring training and gave up two runs on two hits and a walk over two-thirds of an inning. Gomez pitched well as a starter at Double-A Somerset last season with a 3.58 ERA across 65.1 innings.

Rodriguez (shoulder) has made three Cactus League appearances for the Diamondbacks, covering 2.1 innings while striking out one and allowing two earned runs on three hits and zero walks.

Though Rodriguez's results haven't been anything to get excited about, the 25-year-old is likely just happy to be back on the mound and seemingly facing no restrictions after a slew of injuries limited him to just 62 combined regular-season innings between the majors and minors dating back to the start of the 2018 season. Rodriguez was once a well-regarded prospect in the Angels organization, but the Angels opted to drop him from the 40-man roster in October, shortly after he experienced another setback with his surgically repaired shoulder. The Diamondbacks put in a waiver claim for him but later outrighted him to Triple-A Reno, where Rodriguez will presumably open the 2024 campaign.

Peguero (elbow) has struck out two while allowing one earned run on two hits and one walk over two innings through his first two Cactus League appearances.

Peguero concluded the 2023 season on the Brewers' 15-day injured list with a right elbow effusion but doesn't seem to be facing any restrictions in spring training. The 26-year-old righty is expected to fill a middle-innings role out of the Milwaukee bullpen this season after logging a 3.38 ERA, 1.22 WHIP and 54:26 K:BB in 61.1 frames in 2023 while collecting four wins, one save and 21 holds.

Bukauskas (finger) has struck out six while allowing one hit and one walk over two scoreless innings through his first two appearances of the Cactus League.

Bukauskas closed the 2023 season on the Brewers' 15-day injured list due to a right ring finger tendon injury, but he doesn't seem to be facing any restrictions thus far in camp. The 27-year-old right-hander is expected to fill a middle-relief role in the Milwaukee bullpen in 2024.

Peralta (personal) made his Cactus League debut in Friday's 5-3 loss to the Angels, pitching an inning out of the bullpen while giving up an earned run on two hits and one walk.

Peralta was charged with a blown save in his spring debut, but the Padres are still counting on the 32-year-old lefty to be a key part of their late-inning ranks in 2024. He was a late arrival to spring training while he dealt with visa issues, but Peralta should have plenty of time to get fully ramped up before Opening Day.

Wieck (elbow) struck out one and walked one over a scoreless inning of relief Wednesday in the Cubs' 6-1 win over the Brewers in Cactus League play.

The appearance marked Wieck's spring debut and his first outing at any level since the 2021 season. The 32-year-old lefty reliever's 2021 campaign was cut short due to surgery to address an irregular heartbeat, but after getting a clean bill of health for spring training in 2022, he quickly developed an elbow strain that required Tommy John surgery months later. Wieck has made a full recovery from the procedure and will enter the 2024 campaign on the second season of the two-year minor-league deal he inked in January 2023. Though he holds a 3.77 ERA over 65 career relief appearances in the majors with the Padres and Cubs from 2018 through 2021, Wieck will likely need to string together several quality appearances at Triple-A Iowa to begin the 2024 campaign before he gets a look in the Chicago bullpen.
