Rogers (0-1) took the extra-inning loss Saturday versus the Pirates, allowing three runs (two earned) on two hits while striking out two over one inning.

Rogers gave up back-to-back home runs to Bryan Reynolds and Ke'Bryan Hayes in the 10th inning. Jorge Soler got two of those runs back in the bottom half of the frame, but the Giants couldn't come up with consecutive walk-off wins. Rogers hadn't given up a run over his previous six outings before Saturday. He's at a 4.32 ERA, 1.20 WHIP and 7:2 K:BB through 8.1 innings this season, and he's added two holds but remains unlikely to challenge Camilo Doval for save chances.

The White Sox recalled Berroa from Triple-A Charlotte on Sunday.

Armed with an upper-90s fastball and a plus slider, Berroa has the makeup of a potential closer for the White Sox down the road, but he's likely to settle into a lower-leverage role initially while joining the big club for the first time this season. After contending with shoulder problems in spring training before falling short in his bid for a spot in the White Sox's Opening Day bullpen, Berroa struggled at Charlotte early in the season but seems to have found his footing of late. Over his last seven appearances prior to his call-up, Berroa struck out eight over seven scoreless innings, though he did give up five hits and six walks.

Stratton (2-2) allowed five runs on four hits and a walk while striking out one over one inning to take the loss versus the Tigers on Saturday.

Stratton had his worst outing of the season, as the Tigers rallied against him in the seventh inning. He's allowed multiple runs in three of his 12 appearances, but he's maintained scoreless efforts in the other nine. Saturday's poor showing skewed his ratios to a 6.23 ERA and 1.54 WHIP, while his 11:10 K:BB over 13 innings is far from an encouraging sign. Stratton has a save, two holds and a blown save, and it's unlikely one bad appearance will cost him late-inning looks in the long run.

The Marlins selected Ramirez's contract from Triple-A Jacksonville on Sunday, Christina De Nicola of MLB.com reports.

The 29-year-old will receive his first taste of the big leagues, taking the roster spot of Kent Emanuel, who was designated for assignment. Ramirez has a 3.86 ERA and 16:4 K:BB over 11.2 innings at Jacksonville this season and should fill a low-leverage bullpen role for Miami.

Slaten (2-0) earned the win over the Cubs on Saturday, striking out two over two scoreless innings.

The Red Sox pieced together a bullpen day, opening up an opportunity for Slaten to pick up his second win of the season. The Rule 5 selection has been a find for Boston with one run allowed and two walks over 16.1 innings. Slaten has thrown at least two innings in seven of nine outings.

The Marlins designated Emanuel for assignment on Sunday, Christina De Nicola of MLB.com reports.

The 31-year-old had his contract selected by Miami on Saturday but spent just one day with the big club. Emanuel has surrendered seven earned runs over six frames in his two major-league appearances this season.

Munoz earned the save over the Diamondbacks on Saturday, pitching a perfect ninth inning while striking out one.

Munoz entered the game with a two-run lead in the ninth and went 1-2-3 through the heart of Arizona's lineup to secure his fourth save of the season. The right-handed reliever has now converted his last two save attempts after being tagged with the loss in extras against the Rockies a week ago and has not allowed a baserunner over that brief stretch.

Foley allowed two runs on three hits and no walks during the ninth inning to earn the save in Saturday's 6-5 win against the Royals.

The right-hander was staked to a three-run lead and needed all of it as he surrendered his first earned runs of the campaign Saturday. Foley remains perfect in eight save chances this season and has a 1.50 ERA, 1.17 WHIP and 11:6 K:BB across 12 innings.

The Red Sox designated Rodriguez for assignment Sunday.

Boston recalled right-hander Naoyuki Uwasawa from Triple-A Worcester in a corresponding move, but because Rodriguez doesn't have any minor-league options remaining, he was moved off the 40-man roster to make room on the 26-man active roster for Uwasawa. The lefty reliever has a decent track record at the big-league level, but he struggled in his 11 appearances with Boston so far this season, logging a 6.55 ERA, 1.55 WHIP and 11:2 K:BB in 11 innings. It's unclear if Rodriguez will be a sought-after commodity on the waiver wire despite being on an affordable one-year, $1.5 million contract this season.

Grove is slated to start Sunday's series finale in Toronto in what's expected to a bullpen game for the Dodgers, Bill Plunkett of The Orange County Register reports.

Grove made 12 starts for the big club in 2023, but he was dismissed from the competition for a rotation spot late in spring training and has served as a multi-inning reliever for the Dodgers through the first month of the regular season. The right-hander hasn't covered more than three innings in any of his nine relief appearances to date, so the Dodgers may not ask him to work much longer than that while he picks up his first start of 2024. Fellow multi-inning reliever Ryan Yarbrough is available on three days' rest and could be the Dodgers pitcher who's most likely to factor into any decision.
