Cabrera (1-0) was credited with the win Monday against the Royals, allowing one hit and striking out two in a scoreless 1.1 innings of relief.

The southpaw entered the game in the fourth inning with two on and two out to protect a 4-3 lead, and he got Vinnie Pasquantino to ground out before dispatching Kansas City without too much trouble in the fifth. That was enough to get him named the winning pitcher by the official scorer. Cabrera had a bumpy beginning to the season, but over his last seven appearances he's posted a 2.57 ERA, 1.00 WHIP and 6:2 K:BB through seven innings.

Thielbar earned the save Monday against the White Sox, allowing one hit and one walk with two strikeouts over a scoreless inning.

Theilbar followed both Griffin Jax and Brock Stewart for his second save in as many appearances. However, with Jhoan Duran (oblique) expected to be activated Tuesday after an IL stint, Thielbar will likely return to a middle relief role.

Estevez allowed a run on two hits in one inning Monday. He struck out one batter and earned a save over the Phillies.

Estevez entered a 6-4 game and found himself in a jam with two on and one out. He gave up one run but still preserved the 6-5 victory. Estevez has converted five of his six save chances this season but has coughed up three runs in his last three appearances. Before that, he had a five-inning scoreless streak to open the 2024 campaign. Estevez owns a 3.38 ERA with a perfect 8:0 K:BB through eight innings.

Diaz (0-1) took the loss Monday against the Cubs, allowing two runs on two hits with three strikeouts across one inning.

Diaz spoiled Luis Severino's eight-inning gem, allowing a double to Mike Tauchman and a two-run home run to Christopher Morel in the final frame to put the Cubs ahead 3-1, where the score would remain. The loss was Diaz's first true blemish of the campaign, being a perfect 4-for-4 in save chances with no prior losses. His ERA jumped from 0.93 to 2.53 following Monday's contest and his WHIP sits at 0.94 through 10.2 innings.

Wilson (2-1) allowed one run on four hits and two walks over six innings Monday, striking out six and taking a loss against the Rays.

Wilson coughed up a run in the first inning but finished his night with five straight scoreless frames. It was the first time this season he finished at least five innings and he dropped his season ERA to 3.00 through 24 innings. Wilson forced 10 whiffs Monday after totaling just nine over his previous three appearances (9.1 innings). Wilson is currently slated to face the Cubs on the road this weekend.

Adam allowed a hit and a walk in a scoreless inning Monday. He struck out two and earned a save over the Brewers.

Adam also hit a batter and faced a bases-loaded situation with two outs but still narrowly finished off the 1-0 win. It was his first save of the year after blowing his only other chance April 5 against the Rockies. Adam now owns a 1.29 ERA with a 12:4 K:BB and seven holds through 14 innings.

Leiter (1-1) retired the only two batters he faced out of the bullpen to earn the win in Monday's 3-1 victory over the Mets.

Starter Jameson Taillon was excellent over 7.1 innings, but the Cubs turned to Leiter to get the last two outs of the eighth. The veteran righty delivered, then scooped up his first win of the year when Christopher Morel hit a go-ahead home run in the top of the ninth. Leiter has been excellent all year, posting a 0.69 ERA and 13 strikeouts across 13 innings. He should continue to work in a setup role ahead of new closer Hector Neris, though he could be next up for saves if Neris falters.

Coulombe worked a scoreless ninth inning Monday to record his first save of the season in a 2-0 win over the Yankees.

With Craig Kimbrel (back) sidelined, Yennier Cano remained in his high-leverage role and retired Aaron Judge as the final out of the seventh inning before taking care of Anthony Rizzo, Giancarlo Stanton and Austin Wells in the eighth. After Cano gave up a single to begin the ninth, however, Coulombe was brought in to handle the bottom of New York's order and needed only 12 pitches (nine strikes) to get the job done. Kimbrel may not be unavailable for long, but if he does wind up on the injured list, Coulombe could factor more heavily into the endgame mix for manager Brandon Hyde than expected. The southpaw has pitched well to begin the season, posting a 3.18 ERA, 0.62 WHIP and 14:2 K:BB through 11.1 innings.

Neris worked around two walks to pitch a clean ninth inning and record the save in Monday's 3-1 win over the Mets. He struck out two.

Neris put a few runners on base, but he got out of trouble to secure his fourth save of the season. All of those saves have come in the last nine days, which coincides with Adbert Alzolay getting removed from the closer's role. The more success Neris has moving forward, the firmer his grip will get on the job, which will only increase his fantasy value. The veteran is the top Chicago reliever to target at the moment.

The Dodgers have received reports that Treinen is faring well on his rehab assignment, and he's expected to make another appearance for Triple-A Oklahoma City on Wednesday, Jack Harris of the Los Angeles Times reports.

Treinen has given up five runs over 2.1 innings during his first three outings with Triple-A Oklahoma City, but the team is pleased with how he's pitched, per Harris. It remains to be seen whether Wednesday's appearance at Triple-A will be Treinen's last before being activated from the 15-day injured list.
