Lambert is scheduled to start Thursday's game in Miami.

After making his first start of the season April 21 versus the Mariners, Lambert made his most recent appearance out of the bullpen, as he covered 2.2 innings in long relief on April 25 after starter Dakota Hudson was pulled from the contest midway through the fourth inning. After having off days last Friday and this past Monday, the Rockies were able to temporarily get by with a four-man rotation, but Lambert will return to starting role this week as the team returns to a five-man rotation.

The Cardinals returned Leahy to Triple-A Memphis following Tuesday's doubleheader with the Tigers, Jeff Jones of the Belleville News-Democrat reports.

Leahy received his first call-up of 2024 on Tuesday, serving as the Cardinals' 27th man for the twin bill. He came on in relief of starter Steven Matz in the Cardinals' 11-6 loss in Game 2, taking the loss while allowing two earned runs on two hits in 1.1 innings.

The Marlins outrighted Emanuel to Triple-A Jacksonville on Tuesday.

The southpaw is no longer on the 40-man roster but will remain in the organization. Emanuel has allowed eight runs (seven earned) over six relief innings with the Marlins this season.

Suarez pitched a perfect ninth inning to lock down his 10th save of the year in a 6-4 win over the Reds on Tuesday. He struck out one.

Suarez continues to let Padres fans live in peace about letting Josh Hader walk this past offseason. He's now a perfect 10-for-10 in save opportunities and is tied with Ryan Helsley atop the league. Suarez now owns an 0.71 ERA, 0.87 WHIP and 11:4 K:BB in 12.2 innings.

Munoz completed a five-out save in Tuesday's 3-2 win over Atlanta, allowing a hit and a walk while striking out three in the process.

Munoz was forced into the game a bit earlier than expected after Ryne Stanek allowed three base hits to turn things into a 3-1 ballgame. Munoz did allow an inherited runner to score on a throwing error but was dominant otherwise and retired the side in order in the ninth with two strikeouts. Tuesday was the fourth time this season Munoz has pitched more than three outs and it was the third consecutive save he's converted, with all three coming over the last five days. The 25-year-old now owns a 2.25 ERA, 1.25 WHIP and 16:7 K:BB in 12 innings thus far.

Hughes worked a scoreless inning as the Diamondbacks' opening pitcher in Tuesday's 4-3 extra-inning win over the Dodgers, allowing one hit while striking out two.

Hughes had his contract purchased from Triple-A Reno earlier in the day then found out he was starting 45 minutes before first pitch, per Alex Weiner of Arizona Sports. The left-hander was the first of seven pitchers in what became a bullpen day caused by a delay. A 6:40 pm scheduled start turned into an 8:35 pm start after a colony of bees settled atop the protective netting behind home plate. Arizona's scheduled starter, Jordan Montgomery, was scratched and is expected to start Wednesday.

Nelson (shoulder) will undergo thoracic outlet syndrome surgery, Alex Weiner of ArizonaSports.com reports.

Nelson was moved to the 60-day IL on Tuesday with what the Diamondbacks termed as shoulder inflammation, but after getting checked out by a specialist, the right-hander was recommended for thoracic outlet syndrome surgery. Pitchers typically require at least 12 weeks of recovery time from the surgery, according to MLB.com, so Nelson shouldn't be expected to be an option out of the Arizona bullpen until at least September.

Alexander (1-1) took the loss Tuesday against Milwaukee after allowing three earned runs on six hits and two walks while striking out three batters across four innings.

Alexander was unable to keep the Brewers off the basepaths Tuesday, allowing three runs to score in the first two innings. He managed to keep Milwaukee from scoring over the next two frames but had to be pulled after needing 85 pitches to complete four innings, tying his shortest outing of the season. The 29-year-old southpaw owns a 5.02 ERA and 1.40 WHIP this season, though he'll have a good chance to bounce back during his next scheduled start Monday against the White Sox.

Duran gave up one hit and struck out a batter during a scoreless ninth inning to pick up the save during Tuesday's 6-5 win over the White Sox.

In his first appearance since being reinstated from the injured list, Duran picked up right where he left off last season. He allowed a leadoff single to Tommy Pham before retiring the next three batters, ending the game with a four-pitch strikeout of Andrew Vaughn. It wasn't clear heading into Tuesday's game whether or not Duran would immediately slide back into the closer role after missing the first month of the season, but it appears manager Rocco Baldelli will trust the 26-year-old righty to work the ninth inning going forward.

Poche (back) is not expected to spend much more than a minimum stint on the injured list, MLB.com reports.

Poche received an injection in his back shortly after landing on the injured list Friday. He's rested since, but will presumably resume throwing in short order. If Poche is able to return before Pete Fairbanks (arm), he could factor into the saves picture in Tampa Bay.
