The Brewers placed Paredes on the 15-day injured list Wednesday with right forearm tendinitis.

Paredes has been effective in middle relief for the Brewers this season, posting a 1.08 ERA in 16.2 innings. However, he allowed a hit and two walks in just one-third of an inning during his latest outing Tuesday and appears to have come away from the appearance with an injury. As a result, he'll now be forced to sit out at least through the All-Star break. Janson Junk will come up from Triple-A Nashville to fill the opening in Milwaukee's bullpen.

The Twins transferred Stewart (shoulder) to the 60-day injured list Wednesday.

The right-hander has been on the shelf with shoulder tendinitis since early May, so the move to the 60-day IL won't affect his return timeline. Stewart has progressed to facing live batters this week and could soon begin a rehab assignment.

Garcia (elbow) will throw a bullpen session Wednesday and will need at least one minor-league rehab appearance before being activated, Ben Nicholson-Smith of Sportsnet.ca reports.

If all goes well, Garcia would be sent out for a rehab assignment following Wednesday's bullpen session. While it's unclear exactly how many appearances he'll need in the minors, manager John Schneider indicated Garcia would need more than one outing before rejoining the active roster. Once he's healthy, Garcia could take over closing duties considering Jordan Romano (elbow) will be shut down from throwing for at least six weeks.

Romano underwent arthroscopic surgery on his right elbow Tuesday to repair an impingement and will be shut down from throwing for at least six weeks, Keegan Matheson of MLB.com reports.

The 31-year-old has been unavailable due to elbow issues since late May, and it's now unclear whether he'll be able to pitch again this year. Romano missed the first couple weeks of the season with elbow problems and never looked himself in the six weeks he was available with a 6.59 ERA in 15 appearances. Chad Green has stepped up as Toronto's closer with Yimi Garcia (elbow) also on the injured list.

The Rockies optioned Pint to Triple-A Albuquerque on Wednesday.

Pint made his 2024 debut Saturday, allowing two runs across two-thirds of an inning against the White Sox and will return to the minors without making another appearance. The 26-year-old will yield his spot on the active roster to Peter Lambert. Pint owns a 3.18 ERA across 17 innings with Albuquerque this season.

The Rockies recalled Lambert from Triple-A Albuquerque on Wednesday

After making the Rockies' Opening Day roster, Lambert has bounced between Colorado and Albuquerque and has spent the last month at Triple-A. He'll take the spot of Riley Pint on the active roster. Lambert owns a 6.47 ERA across 32.0 innings with the Rockies this season.

The Marlins recalled Maldonado from Triple-A Jacksonville on Wednesday.

Maldonado has posted a 3.75 ERA and 7:3 K:BB over 12 innings this season at the major-league level. He could eventually work high-leverage innings for the Marlins but will likely be deployed in middle relief for now.

The Orioles optioned Vespi to Triple-A Norfolk on Wednesday.

Vespi allowed just one run in his first 10 innings of big-league action before yielding three runs to the Rangers on Sunday. With Dean Kremer (triceps) returning from the IL, Vespi will be sent back to Triple-A. The 28-year-old owns a 2.84 ERA across 25.1 innings with Norfolk this season.

The Rays recalled Sterner from Triple-A Durham on Wednesday, Ryan Bass of Bally Sports Sun reports.

He will take the roster spot vacated by Aaron Civale, who has been traded to the Brewers. Sterner has made two appearances out of the Rays' bullpen this season, allowing two runs (one earned) with a 4:1 K:BB over four innings. He'll be used in low-leverage spots.

Miller allowed two earned runs on two hits and a walk over one inning in a 7-5 win over the Angels on Tuesday. He struck out two.

Miller had last seen action Friday, so manager Mark Kotsay opted to give his closer some work in what started as a low-leverage scenario. The fireballing right-hander inherited a 7-3 advantage going into the ninth inning and proceeded to retire two of the first three hitters he faced, but he subsequently allowed an RBI double and single to Nolan Schanuel and Luis Rengifo, respectively, to tighten matters up. Miller bore down and retired Taylor Ward on four pitches to put an end to the threat and the game, but not before allowing multiple earned runs for the first time since May 23. Despite the stumble, Miller has contributed a win and 14 saves to fantasy managers this season, accomplishing those marks with the help of a stellar 15.8 K/9.
