Kuhl tossed 4.1 innings out of the bullpen in Thursday's 8-4 loss to the Guardians, striking out one batter while giving up three runs (two earned) on five hits and four walks.

In his previous appearance June 27, Kuhl made his first start of the season with the White Sox, working three scoreless innings in a no-decision against Atlanta. Kuhl was merely getting a spot start amid a busy portion of the White Sox's schedule, as he returned to a mop-up role out of the bullpen a week later. With the Chicago rotation at full strength with the exception of Mike Clevinger (elbow) -- who appears close to a return from the injured list -- Kuhl isn't expected to get any chances to start again in the near future.

The White Sox optioned Wilson to Triple-A Charlotte on Monday.

Wilson holds a 3.46 ERA with 26 strikeouts in 26 relief innings this season, but he's also been wild with 17 walks, resulting in a 5.36 FIP. Jordan Leasure was called up from Charlotte to take Wilson's spot in Chicago's bullpen.

Chargois (1-0) picked up the win Sunday over the White Sox, giving up a hit in a scoreless ninth inning.

The right-hander was called in with the Marlins down 4-3 in the top of the ninth, and Chargois got rewarded for his efforts when Jake Burger walked it off with a three-run homer in the bottom of the frame. Chargois has been very effective since making his season debut in mid-June, posting a 1.69 ERA, 1.03 WHIP and 9:4 K:BB through 10.2 innings, and he could be working his way into the high-leverage mix for the Marlins.

The White Sox recalled Leasure from Triple-A Charlotte on Monday.

Leasure was optioned nearly a month ago following a rough stretch in which he allowed six runs over his final 3.2 innings out of the bullpen prior to his demotion. He held a 2.52 ERA before the string of blowups, albeit with a 22:14 K:BB across 25 frames. Leasure is a candidate for high-leverage innings eventually but could be eased into such situations as he returns to Chicago's bullpen.

Cabrera gave up a hit and a walk while striking out one in the 10th inning Sunday to record his second save of the season in a win over the Mariners.

Chad Green worked the ninth in a tie game, leaving Cabrera to handle the save situation when the team took the lead in the top of the 10th. The southpaw got the job done, continuing a hot streak that has seen him get scored upon only once in his last 12 appearances. Cabrera sports a 0.75 ERA, 0.67 WHIP and 8:2 K:BB in 12 innings over that stretch, but he hasn't seen consistent high-leverage usage -- he has two extra-inning saves during that time, but zero wins or holds. With Tim Mayza no longer on the roster, however, Cabrera is the top left-handed option in the Toronto bullpen, which should lead to more holds in the second half of the season.

Santos (lat) fired a scoreless fourth inning for High-A Everett against Vancouver on Saturday, recording a strikeout.

Santos needed just eight pitches to get through his one frame Saturday, following a 13-pitch rehab debut with Triple-A Tacoma on Tuesday. Considering MLB.com reports Santos worked his fastball up to 99 mph during Saturday's outing, he may already be deemed ready for activation, with a decision on that front slated to come after an evaluation during Monday's team off day.

Jansen locked down his 18th save of the year in Sunday's 3-0 win over the Yankees, tossing a clean ninth inning while striking out a batter in the process.

Jansen made quick work of Yankees hitters, getting Ben Rice to ground out and Juan Soto to line out before setting Aaron Judge down on strikes to end the game. Father Time is doing Jansen well this season, as he's converted 18 of his first 19 save chances while sporting a 2.01 ERA, 1.05 WHIP and 35:12 K:BB in 31.1 innings. He has 10 straight scoreless outings since June 15 and has picked up a win and eight saves over that span.

Lovelady (forearm) was sent to the Rays' Florida Complex League affiliate Monday to begin a rehab assignment.

Lovelady has been shelved since early June with a left forearm flexor strain but has been cleared to test things out in a game setting. The left-handed reliever has posted a 7.36 ERA and 1.36 WHIP across 7.1 innings with the Rays this season and appears poised for a return at the start of the second half.

Stewart (shoulder) will begin a rehab assignment with Triple-A St. Paul on Tuesday, Darren Wolfson of Channel 5 Saint Paul reports.

Stewart has been on the shelf since early May with right shoulder tendinitis but is ready to test himself in a game setting after getting through several throwing sessions without any hiccups. With a 0.66 ERA and 34.8 percent strikeout rate over 41 career innings with the Twins, Stewart will be a big boost to the bullpen once he returns, which should happen at the start of the second half.

Green (2-1) took the win Sunday against Seattle, allowing two hits and a walk with two strikeouts across a scoreless inning.

Green entered the game in the bottom of the ninth inning with the score 4-4, and although he let runners reach second and third with one out, Green was able to send the game to extra innings, where the Blue Jays would deliver Green his second victory. The 33-year-old has allowed just one run in his last 9.2 innings and has been the Blue Jays' impromptu closer in the wake of injuries to Jordan Romano (elbow) and Yimi Garcia (elbow). Prior to being shelved, Garcia was firmly ahead of Green for save chances, but with Green in the midst of an exceptional season highlighted by what would be a career-best 1.57 ERA, the closing role may no longer be as cut and dry.
