Hendriks (elbow) threw a bullpen session Wednesday at Fenway Park, Julian Benbow of The Boston Globe reports.

Hendriks has thrown a number of bullpen sessions without any setbacks; however, he's still limited to throwing exclusively fastballs. The Red Sox haven't offered an estimated return timetable as the right-hander continues to work his way back from the Tommy John surgery he underwent last August. Boston manager Alex Cora referred to it as the beginning of a long process. Hendriks needs to incorporate all of his offerings before facing live batters and heading out on a rehab assignment.

Martin (elbow) played catch Wednesday for the first time since landing on the 10-day injured list in early July, MLB.com reports.

Martin was placed on the injured list July 5 (retroactive to July 4) with right elbow inflammation. The right-hander is eligible to return for the first game following the All-Star break.

Miller gave up a hit and struck out two in a scoreless ninth inning Wednesday to record his 15th save of the season in a 5-2 win over the Red Sox.

The flame-throwing righty bounced back from a shaky appearance in a non-save situation his last time out. Miller hasn't been quite as dominant of late as he was to begin the season, but he's still been very effective -- since the beginning of June he's posted a 2.84 ERA, 0.79 WHIP and 17:4 K:BB through 12.2 innings while converting four of five save chances.

Leasure allowed one earned run on one hit across one inning to earn a hold in the first game of Wednesday's doubleheader against the Twins.

He still earned his ninth hold of the season despite serving up a solo homer to Matt Wallner. Leasure has made two appearances since rejoining the big-league club Monday, though he's given up three homers and five earned runs. The White Sox may be interested in continuing to give Leasure looks in high-leverage situations to aid his development, but he's allowed at least one earned run in five of his last 10 outings.

Hoffman struck out one in a perfect ninth inning Wednesday to record his ninth save of the season in a 4-3 win over the Dodgers.

Jose Alvarado was called upon to face Freddie Freeman and the heart of the Los Angeles order in the eighth inning, leaving the save chance to Hoffman. That's been the norm of late, as Hoffman has saves in four straight appearances since June 30, while Alvarado has only one save and one hold during that time. Hoffman's performance has earned him increased responsibility, as he hasn't walked a batter in over a month and has a 1.69 ERA, 0.56 WHIP and 13:0 K:BB over his last 10.2 innings. Manager Rob Thomson will play matchups in high-leverage spots with the left-handed Alvarado and the right-handed Hoffman, but the latter seems the better bet for saves heading into the All-Star break.

Holmes struck out two over 1.1 perfect innings Wednesday to record his 20th save of the season in a 2-1 win over the Rays.

It was Holmes' first save since June 9, as he'd blown his last two chances while posting a worrying 10.80 ERA over his past seven appearances. Despite the rough stretch, he still sports a 2.89 ERA, 1.26 WHIP and 39:8 K:BB through 37.1 innings on the season and has already banked his third straight 20-save campaign.

Sewald pitched a perfect ninth inning to pick up the save over Atlanta on Wednesday.

Sewald entered the contest with a two-run lead in the ninth and needed only eight pitches to retire the side for his 12th save of the campaign. It was a nice bounce-back effort for the closer, who had allowed multiple runs and blown a save in his previous three outings. It was also Sewald's third appearance in which he didn't allow any hits or walks over his last six.

Hoeing (0-2) allowed five runs (four earned) on eight hits and a walk while striking out one over three innings to take the loss versus the Astros on Wednesday.

Hoeing completed three innings again, but the Astros established a large lead after the second frame. The 27-year-old has taken the loss in both of his starts since joining the Marlins' rotation, and he's not fully stretched out after throwing just 62 pitches (39 strikes) Wednesday. He's at a 3.16 ERA, 1.29 WHIP and 21:7 K:BB through 25.2 innings over 13 appearances, though he's had more success as a reliever. It's unclear if Hoeing will remain in the rotation following the All-Star break.

Pallante (4-4) took the loss against Kansas City in Game 1 of Wednesday's doubleheader, allowing four runs on six hits and no walks while striking out five batters over 6.1 innings.

Pallante cruised through four scoreless, one-hit frames before the Royals struck for three runs on four hits in the fifth. The right-hander was allowed to return for the sixth but was pulled after giving up a tiebreaking solo homer to Salvador Perez with one out. Pallante was consequently stuck with the loss, as St. Louis was unable to catch up. Despite the defeat, Pallante recorded his second-longest outing of the campaign while recording exactly five punchouts for his fourth straight appearance.

McArthur earned a save in both games of Wednesday's doubleheader against the Cardinals, pitching two total innings during which he gave up one run on three hits while striking out two batters.

McArthur gave up a Paul Goldschmidt solo homer and a Nolan Arenado single in the first game of the twin bill but managed to get through the ninth frame in 15 pitches. That left him fresh enough to be called upon again in the ninth inning of Game 2, and he finished off that contest in 19 pitches without yielding a run. McArthur thus became the first Kansas City pitcher with two saves in one day since Greg Holland in 2013. McArthur went through a stretch between June 7 to 23 during which he didn't record a single save (or get a single save opportunity), but since then he's registered five saves while giving up just one run over 7.2 frames.
