Over his past 22 appearances, Doval has just one hold and no saves while posting a 3.98 ERA, 1.57 WHIP and 22:12 K:BB over 20.1 innings.

Doval collected three holds and a save over his first 21 appearances this season, but that came with three blown saves and a 5.40 ERA. Since then, the right-hander has been bypassed in high-leverage situations on numerous occasions, though he's still mostly been deployed in the final three innings of contests. Doval entered the campaign with at least 16 saves in four straight seasons and registered a career-high 10 regular-season holds last year, but he's become a lower-leverage option in 2026, significantly denting his value even in saves-plus-holds fantasy leagues.

Sisk (elbow) began a throwing progression July 18, MLB.com reports.

The Pirates haven't provided word on when Sisk will be ready to begin a rehab assignment, but that could happen soon if he's experienced no setbacks while ramping up his throwing. Before hitting the shelf July 4 due to left elbow inflammation, Sisk turned in a 2.23 ERA, 1.18 WHIP and 43:13 K:BB in 36.1 innings out of the Pittsburgh bullpen.

The Nationals recalled Varland from Triple-A Rochester on Tuesday, Grant Paulsen of 106.7 The Fan reports.

Varland has collected six saves while posting a 6.25 ERA, 1.77 WHIP and 30:15 K:BB over 31.2 innings during his time with the Nationals this season. He's absorbing the roster spot vacated by Andrew Alvarez, who was optioned following Monday's contest versus the Blue Jays.

Brazoban struck out one in a scoreless two-thirds of an inning to record his eighth hold of the season in a 14-3 rout of Atlanta on Monday.

The game was still close when Brazoban took over from Zac Thornton with one out in the seventh inning, and the 36-year-old reliever had little trouble finishing the frame. Brazoban has been scored upon in only one of his last eight appearances, posting a 1.04 ERA, 0.81 WHIP and 8:3 K:BB over 8.2 innings during that span and potentially making himself a more valuable trade asset for a Mets team looking to sell at the deadline.

Faucher (5-5) picked up the win Monday against the Phillies, walking one and striking out two in a scoreless ninth inning.

Miami was down 7-5 heading into the ninth, but after Faucher kept the game close in the top of the frame, his offense erupted for three runs off Philly closer Jhoan Duran to walk it off. Faucher has held the opposition off the board in seven of his 10 July appearances, but he's been tagged for a combined 10 runs in the other three, leaving him with a brutal 9.31 ERA, 1.76 WHIP and 11:6 K:BB in 9.2 innings on the month.

Gibson recorded his fourth hold of the season in Monday's win over the Phillies, coughing up three runs on two hits and a walk in one-third of an inning.

The southpaw entered the game in the top of the sixth inning with the Marlins holding a 5-2 lead, and while Gibson immediately made a mess the rest of the bullpen needed to clean up, he technically exited the game with his team still ahead -- Tyler Zuber allowed two of Gibson's inherited runners to score after taking over. Over 10 appearances in July, Gibson has stumbled to a 5.40 ERA, 1.20 WHIP and 8:6 K:BB through 11.2 innings, but he's collected all four of his holds along with one win.

The Reds recalled Franco from Triple-A Louisville on Tuesday, Charlie Goldsmith of Fox 19 Now Cincinnati reports.

Franco will be available for the second game of Tuesday's doubleheader versus the Guardians as the 27th man on the roster. The right-hander tossed six shutout innings in his last start at Louisville and could serve as the bulk reliever for the Reds in Tuesday's nightcap. Franco has made nine appearances out of the Cincinnati bullpen in 2026, posting a 5.40 ERA and 13:14 K:BB over 16.2 innings.

Rogers struck out one in a perfect seventh inning Monday to record his 22nd hold of the season in a win over the Nationals.

With Toronto nursing a 3-2 lead, Rogers got the call against Washington's 9-1-2 hitters and got the job done on just eight pitches (all strikes), fanning James Wood along the way. Rogers hasn't allowed a run since June 23, reeling off 10 straight scoreless appearances and posting a 0.50 WHIP and 7:1 K:BB in 10 innings with five holds.

Fluharty (5-1) picked up the win Monday over the Nationals, striking out one over 1.1 perfect innings of relief.

Max Scherzer lasted just 2.2 frames as the starter after being activated from the IL earlier in the day, and Fluharty took the mound with the Blue Jays already ahead 2-1 in the third inning and was credited with the victory. The southpaw reliever has been scored upon just twice in nine July appearances, posting a 2.00 ERA, 0.89 WHIP and 10:1 K:BB in nine innings on the month.

Hentges picked up a hold in Monday's 3-0 win over the Brewers, striking out one in a scoreless inning.

After allowing two runs on seven pitches across one-third of an inning in his previous outing, Hentges bounced back Monday. The 30-year-old southpaw entered the game with a runner on first but retired all three batters he faced, throwing seven of his 13 pitches for strikes. He now owns a 2.53 ERA, 1.55 WHIP and 24:16 K:BB across 21.1 innings in 28 appearances this season.
