Kyle Hurt RP | LAD
Dodgers' Kyle Hurt: Activated from IL, optioned
The Dodgers activated Hurt (shoulder) from the 60-day injured list and optioned him to Triple-A Oklahoma City on Friday, Jack Harris of the Los Angeles Times reports.
Hurt was originally placed on the 15-day injured list April 20 with right shoulder inflammation, but he was transferred to the 60-day IL one week later. He began his rehab assignment with Oklahoma City on June 6, and over his eight minor-league appearances, he's given up five runs on seven hits and 10 walks while striking out 16 over nine frames. To make room for Hurt on the 40-man roster, the Dodgers transferred Max Muncy (oblique) to the 60-day injured list Friday.

Brewers' Bradley Blalock: Returns to Biloxi
The Brewers optioned Blalock to Double-A Biloxi on Friday.
Blalock was called up Wednesday and fired a scoreless inning against the Padres on Thursday, but he'll head back to Double-A to make room for Jakob Junis (shoulder) on the active roster. Blalock owns a 4.24 ERA across 51.0 innings at Biloxi this season.

Dodgers' J.P. Feyereisen: Optioned to Triple-A
The Dodgers optioned Feyereisen to Triple-A Oklahoma City on Friday.
The move comes with right-hander Landon Knack being recalled ahead of his start against the Angels on Friday. Feyereisen was called up by the Dodgers on Sunday, and in his one appearance Monday against the Rockies, he gave up four runs on four hits while striking out one over two innings. Over his 10 major-league outings this season, Feyereisen has an 8.18 ERA and 1.45 WHIP across 11 innings.

Tom Cosgrove RP | HOU
Padres' Tom Cosgrove: Recalled by San Diego
The Padres recalled Cosgrove from Triple-A El Paso on Friday.
The move corresponds with right-hander Adam Mazur being optioned to Triple-A El Paso. Cosgrove was optioned to Triple-A on April 30 after appearing in 15 games in the majors, registering a 10.50 ERA and 1.83 WHIP across 12 innings. He has an 8.79 ERA in the minors, though he hasn't given up a run or hit over his last seven outings, striking out seven batters over that span. Cosgrove will provide the Padres a southpaw option out of the bullpen.

Bryan Hoeing RP | SD
Marlins' Bryan Hoeing: Another Triple-A appearance coming
Hoeing (hamstring) is scheduled to throw three innings with Triple-A Jacksonville on Tuesday, Daniel Alvarez-Montes of ElExtraBase.com reports.
Hoeing has made a pair of appearances at Triple-A after resuming his rehab assignment following a brief shutdown in late May. However, he's allowed four runs (three earned) with one strikeout across 2.2 innings with Jacksonville and will require at least one more outing before being activated.

Giovanny Gallegos RP | LAD
Cardinals' Giovanny Gallegos: Returns from injured list
The Cardinals activated Gallegos (shoulder) from the 15-day injured list Friday.
St. Louis has a rare Friday off day, but it will have Gallegos back in its bullpen Saturday versus the Giants. The veteran reliever has been out since early May with a right shoulder impingement and didn't pitch well on a rehab assignment, allowing eight runs with a 5:4 K:BB over 6.1 innings. Gallegos will probably be eased into high-leverage situations.

Jeremiah Estrada RP | SD
Padres' Jeremiah Estrada: Blows save chance Thursday
Estrada (3-1) blew a save but was credited with the win in Thursday's victory versus the Brewers. He allowed two runs on two hits and one walk while striking out three batters over one inning.
Primary closer Robert Suarez had pitched on back-to-back days, so San Diego turned to Estrada with a two-run lead in the ninth inning, though the latter had taken the mound on consecutive days as well. Estrada couldn't close things out, giving up a pair of runs on a walk, a single, a wild pitch and a double. To his credit, the right-hander kept the game tied by striking out the final two batters he faced, and he ended up in the win column when Jake Cronenworth smacked a walk-off home run in the bottom of the frame. Though Estrada continues to rack up punchouts -- of his past 13 outs, 12 have come via strikeout -- he's been struggling of late, giving up eight runs on 10 hits and three walks over that span of five outings.

Carmen Mlodzinski RP | PIT
Pirates' Carmen Mlodzinski: Opening Friday's game
Mlodzinski will serve as the Pirates' opening pitcher in Friday's game versus the Rays, Alex Stumpf of MLB.com reports.
It's the third opener assignment this season for Mlodzinski, who didn't allow a run in his first two tries. Luis Ortiz is a good bet to follow in a bulk-relief role.
