Estevez shut the Yankees down in order to nail down a 6-3 victory over the Yankees on Wednesday.

That's three saves in as many chances since taking over the closer role for the injured Jake McGee. Estevez hasn't allowed a base runner in any of those three appearances. He is also 1-3 with a 4.03 ERA, 1.12 WHIP and 23 strikeouts in 22.1 innings this season.

Nelson (5-6) was lit up by the Giants in a loss Wednesday afternoon. He lasted just 3.2 innings, giving up eight runs (six earned) on eight hits while walking three and striking out two.

Nelson had all sorts of problems while losing his third consecutive start. The right-hander was unable to make it out of the fourth inning for the first time this season and matched his career high of eight runs allowed. His ERA ballooned to a season-high 3.92 and his WHIP increased to 1.35. In eleven tries over the first two months of the season, Nelson tallied eight quality starts. However, he's cooled off immensely and has failed to notch one quality outing in three June starts.

Miller (finger) is the projected starter for Sunday's game against the Phillies, Jack Magruder of Fan Rag Sports reports.

Miller had a 7.09 ERA in 10 starts prior to the stint on the DL, so don't look to his first start back to be a gem. That said, he struck out 19 in his two rehab starts, allowing only one earned run, looking sharp against the minor league competition.

Gearrin has a 2.22 ERA and 0.95 WHIP after pitching 28.1 innings across 30 games this season.

Gearrin's success this season can be greatly attributed to his increased control. His walk rate is currently sitting at 6.5 percent, down from his career average of 9.8. Gearrin is 2-0 this season with 10 holds and has been stellar as of late, throwing 10 straight scoreless innings and allowing just three hits in that time.

Chafin was recalled by the Diamondbacks on Wednesday.

The left-hander struggled during his earlier stint with the Diamondbacks this season, working a 9.00 ERA with 34 strikeouts and 19 walks across 44.5 innings of work. However, he turned things around a bit at Triple-A Reno, throwing 7.2 scoreless innings over five separate appearances, including one start. He'll join the Diamondbacks on Wednesday, taking the roster spot of Zac Curtis.

Smith allowed his first run of the season Tuesday and took the loss as the Brewers fell to the Giants.

Smith did not allow a run in his first six outings after making his season debut June 2, but he allowed three runners to reach base Tuesday and threw two wild pitches, which culminated in him picking up the "L." Smith still owns a stellar 0.90 WHIP in his seven appearances with the Brewers this season, but he has not proven to be a threat to closer Jeremy Jeffress' job as of yet, working mainly in the seventh and eighth innings.

Pomeranz (5-7) allowed five runs on five hits and five walks while striking out six over five innings in a loss to the Marlins on Tuesday.

Pomeranz gave up a grand slam in the first inning to put him behind five runs, and although he didn't allow another run in his remaining four innings of work, he got very little run support in the losing effort. After posting a 2.22 ERA over his first 11 starts of the season, he's now allowed eight runs over his last 10 innings covering two outings to raise his ERA to 2.88. He'll make his next start Sunday against the Nationals.

Castro was called up Tuesday, Patrick Saunders of the Denver Post reports.

Castro's demotion to Triple-A Albuquerque did not last long as after just one week, he's returning to Colorado's bullpen. He made three appearances for the Rockies' affiliate while on assignment and gave up a hit, walk, and one earned run over 2.2 innings. The 21-year-old will reassume a 3.75 ERA and 1.08 WHIP when he makes his return to the Rockies.

Rusin (shoulder) was placed on the 15-day disabled list Tuesday, Patrick Saunders of the Denver Post reports.

The left-hander had already been scratched from his next scheduled start earlier in the day Tuesday, and the Rockies have since decided that Rusin will require a stint on the DL. According to Saunders, Rusin is battling a shoulder strain, so it's unclear exactly when he'll be ready to resume throwing. The Rockies recalled reliever Miguel Castro to add bullpen depth in a corresponding move Tuesday, but they'll still need to make a decision on who will step in to start in Rusin's place Friday.

Rusin (undisclosed) will not make his next start on Friday, Owen Perkins and Ben Weinrib of MLB.com report.

Rusin had a great start on Wednesday, allowing zero runs in six innings, but is reportedly feeling sore and will skip a start to recover. He hasn't been placed on the DL and doesn't have an official injury announced yet, but the Rockies are monitoring the situation.
