Marlins' Lake Bachar: Recalled from Triple-A

The Marlins recalled Bachar from Triple-A Jacksonville on Tuesday.

Bachar was sent down nearly three weeks ago after allowing 11 runs in 10.2 relief innings in May. He'll get another opportunity after permitting one run with a 6:1 K:BB over three innings with Jacksonville.

Reds' Joe La Sorsa: Recalled from Triple-A

The Reds recalled La Sorsa from Triple-A Louisville on Tuesday.

La Sorsa has made one appearance with the Reds this season, tossing a scoreless frame. He will give manager Terry Francona another left-handed relief option while Brent Suter is on the bereavement list.

  • Brent Suter RP | LAA

Reds' Brent Suter: Placed on bereavement list

The Reds placed Suter on the bereavement list Tuesday.

By rule, Suter will miss the next 3-to-7 games. He's been replaced on the roster and in the bullpen by Joe La Sorsa.

  • Ryan Loutos RP | SEA

Nationals' Ryan Loutos: Claimed by Nationals

The Nationals claimed Loutos off waivers from the Dodgers and optioned him to Triple-A Rochester on Tuesday, Andrew Golden of The Washington Post reports.

Loutos had been designated for assignment by the Dodgers after yielding five runs in three innings covering two appearances. He will provide relief depth in the minors.

  • Braves' Raisel Iglesias: Clean inning in lower-leverage spot

Iglesias struck out two in a perfect eighth inning during Monday's 7-1 win over the Brewers.

The right-hander entered the game to protect a four-run lead, with Atlanta adding on some insurance in the top of the ninth. Iglesias has a 7.07 ERA since the beginning of May and hasn't successfully converted a save since May 16, but with no one else in the bullpen having yet taken advantage of the opportunity to lay claim to the closer role, he may only need a few sharp appearances in a row to re-establish himself as the top option for manager Brian Snitker.

  • Bryce Jarvis RP | ARI

Diamondbacks' Bryce Jarvis: Heading back to big leagues

The Diamondbacks will recall Jarvis from Triple-A Reno prior to Tuesday's game versus the Mariners, John Gambadoro of Arizona Sports 98.7 FM reports.

Jarvis will provide a fresh bullpen arm following Monday's extra-innings victory over Seattle. The right-hander has made six relief appearances for Arizona in 2025, yielding six runs with a 9:3 K:BB across 7.1 frames.

  • Jeff Brigham RP | CHC

Diamondbacks' Jeff Brigham: Will be sent back down

The Diamondbacks will option Brigham to Triple-A Reno prior to Tuesday's contest against the Mariners, John Gambadoro of Arizona Sports 98.7 FM reports.

Brigham gave up three runs without recording an out in Monday's game. He will be replaced on the roster and in the bullpen by Bryce Jarvis, who is getting called up from Triple-A.

  • Ryan Helsley RP | BAL

Cardinals' Ryan Helsley: Dealt with early-season toe injury

Helsley dealt with a toe injury on his right foot early in the season that required an uncomfortable insert in his cleat, Derrick Goold of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports.

The toe issue -- which first cropped up late in spring training -- threw off Helsley's delivery, resulting in less velocity and command. Helsley finished April having allowed four runs with a 10:8 K:BB over 10 innings. The 30-year-old suffered a third straight blown save Monday against the Blue Jays, but Helsley said he feels "great" now, and his velocity is back up, giving him confidence he can bounce back.

  • Matt Sauer RP | LAD

Dodgers' Matt Sauer: Set to pitch for big club Tuesday

Dodgers manager Dave Roberts said after Monday's win over the Padres that Sauer will be recalled from Triple-A Oklahoma City and will pitch in Tuesday's contest, Fabian Ardaya of The Athletic reports.

Although Roberts didn't confirm as much, Sauer is expected to start or serve as a bulk reliever for Tuesday's game in San Diego. The 26-year-old right-hander has made one start and six relief appearances with the Dodgers this season, posting a 3.05 ERA and 13:3 K:BB over 20.2 frames. Sauer went 4.2 innings and threw 82 pitches in his last start with Oklahoma City, so he should be prepared for a full workload Tuesday.

  • Jose Urena SP | LAA

Dodgers' Jose Urena: Set to lose 40-man roster spot

Dodgers manager Dave Roberts said after Monday's 8-6 extra-inning win over the Padres that Urena will be designated for assignment prior to Tuesday's contest, Fabian Ardaya of The Athletic reports.

Urena made two appearances after signing with the Dodgers, allowing one run over three innings out of the bullpen. The veteran right-hander has already pitched for three different clubs this season and could draw interest from a fourth looking for swingman depth.
