Reiver Sanmartin RP | SF
Giants' Reiver Sanmartin: Sidelined three months
Sanmartin will be sidelined for three months after being diagnosed Monday with a severe right hip flexor strain, Susan Slusser of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.
Sanmartin suffered the injury during a recent exhibition game and an MRI revealed a serious injury. The left-hander had been competing for a spot in the Giants bullpen after being claimed off waivers from the Reds back in November.

Erik Miller RP | SF
Giants' Erik Miller: Ready to face hitters
Miller (back) is scheduled to throw a live batting practice session Tuesday, Susan Slusser of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.
The live BP session will be the final hurdle that Miller needs to clear in his recovery from a back injury before making his Cactus League debut, perhaps as soon as later this week. Considering that Miller wasn't tasked with recording more than four outs in any of his 36 relief appearances for the Giants last season, he won't require much ramp-up time and should be ready to go for Opening Day.

Luis Peralta RP | COL
Rockies' Luis Peralta: Misses out on roster spot
Colorado optioned Peralta to Triple-A Albuquerque on Sunday, Patrick Lyons of JustBaseball.com reports.
The left-hander finished 2025 working in the majors but is set to open 2026 in the minor leagues. Peralta had a 9.47 ERA and 16:18 K:BB across 19 frames in the big leagues last year, and he wasn't much better at Triple-A with a 9.09 ERA.

Taylor Rashi RP | ARI
Diamondbacks' Taylor Rashi: Misses out on Opening Day roster
The Diamondbacks reassigned Rashi to minor-league camp Sunday, Alex Weiner of ArizonaSports.com reports.
Rashi reached the majors for the first time with Arizona in 2025, appearing in 10 games and logging a 4.41 ERA, 1.47 WHIP and 22:8 K:BB over 16.1 innings. After being non-tendered in November, Rashi re-signed with Arizona on a minor-league deal shortly thereafter. He wasn't able to crack the Diamondbacks bullpen coming out of spring training, but Rashi could be in the mix for a promotion to the big club if he pitches well with Reno early in the upcoming season.

Weilnton Herrera RP | COL
Rockies' Welinton Herrera: Fails to make roster
The Rockies optioned Herrera to Triple-A Albuquerque on Sunday, Patrick Lyons of JustBaseball.com reports.
The 21-year-old lefty was added to Colorado's 40-man roster in November but was never a likely bet to make the Opening Day roster. Herrera spent most of last season with Double-A Hartford, where he had a 3.69 ERA, 1.30 WHIP and 70:19 K:BB across 46.1 innings.

Grant Holman RP | LAD
Diamondbacks' Grant Holman: Out of running for roster spot
The Diamondbacks optioned Holman to Triple-A Reno on Sunday, Alex Weiner of ArizonaSports.com reports.
Holman tossed a scoreless inning in his lone Cactus League appearance to date, but having a pair of minor-league options remaining might have hurt his cause for breaking camp as a member of the Diamondbacks' Opening Day bullpen. With the Athletics last season, the 25-year-old righty made 22 appearances (two starts) at the big-league level, logging a 5.09 ERA, 1.52 WHIP and 17:9 K:BB in 23 innings.

Juan Burgos RP | ARI
Diamondbacks' Juan Burgos: Sent packing from big-league camp
The Diamondbacks optioned Burgos to Triple-A Reno on Sunday, Alex Weiner of ArizonaSports.com reports.
Burgos was one of 15 players dismissed from big-league camp in the Diamondbacks' latest round of roster cuts. The 26-year-old righty was unable to secure a spot in Arizona's Opening Day bullpen after yielding four earned runs on six hits and two walks over 2.1 innings in the Cactus League.

Brandyn Garcia RP | ARI
Diamondbacks' Brandyn Garcia: Overcomes illness
Garcia (illness) struck out three batters over two perfect innings in his last two Cactus League appearances Wednesday and Saturday.
During his second appearance of the spring Feb. 28, Garcia was lifted early after falling ill, but he needed just a few days to move past the issue. The 25-year-old lefty has allowed just two total baserunners over three innings this spring, putting him in good shape to break camp as a member of the Diamondbacks' Opening Day bullpen.

Kyle Leahy RP | STL
Cardinals' Kyle Leahy: Spotless in third Grapefruit start
Leahy struck out five across four perfect innings in Saturday's Grapefruit League start against the Mets.
Leahy bounced back from a rough second spring training outing with a stellar effort Saturday, requiring only 47 pitches to cruise through his four frames. The right-hander remains a favorite to capture one of the final spots in the Cardinals' rotation, and that the club is considering opening the year with a six-man setup would only increase his chances.

Ryan Harbin RP | PIT
Pirates' Ryan Harbin: Dispatched to Triple-A
The Pirates optioned Harbin (lat) to Triple-A Indianapolis on Sunday.
Harbin isn't expected to resume throwing until at least early April after he sustained a right teres major muscle tear early in camp, so his demotion to Triple-A was fully anticipated. Indianapolis is likely to place Harbin on its 7-day injured list shortly before the International League season gets underway.
