Suter allowed four runs on 10 hits across five innings in Sunday's start against the Rockies. He struck out three and suffered his second loss of the season.

Making just his second start of the season, Suter allowed a two-run homer to Nolan Arenado in the first inning before yielding one run in both the second and third. He threw 65 percent of his pitches for strikes, but was only able to last 86 pitches and drew little run support from the offense. Suter will finish the season with a 3.32 ERA and seems unlikely to be part of the club's plans for its big league rotation in 2017.

Melancon notched his 46th save in Saturday's 2-1 win over the Marlins, pitching 1.1 innings of scoreless ball and striking out one.

It was business as usual for the dominant closer, who locked down his fourth consecutive scoreless effort. Melancon heads into the postseason with a 46-for-50 performance in save opportunities, which represents the second-highest save total of his career.

Iglesias recorded a perfect ninth inning to earn his sixth save of the season in a 7-4 victory over the Cubs.

The right-hander threw nine of his 13 pitches for strikes, registering a pop up, fly out and strike out. Iglesias has thrown five straight shutout innings over his latest five relief appearances and has three saves during that stretch.

Adleman (4-4) beat Jon Lester and the Cubs, as he allowed three runs on six hits, struck out four and walked two in Saturday's 7-4 victory.

Although he ran into trouble and gave up three runs in the fourth, the Reds spotted him a big enough lead to help him get the win. Adleman threw 60 of his 89 pitches for strikes and recorded 14 swing-and-misses. He ends the season with a 4.00 ERA, 1.21 WHIP and 47 strikeouts in 69.2 innings.

Blach tossed eight innings of three-hit ball Saturday, striking out six and walking just one in a 3-0 win over the Dodgers.

Blach was brilliant Saturday, completing eight shutout frames with 99 pitches. Even though the Dodgers already clinched the NL West they didn't throw their B squad at the rookie; starting the likes of Adrian Gonzalez, Corey Seager, Justin Turner and Yasiel Puig. Blach posted a 3.43 ERA over 26 starts in the hitter-friendly PCL this season, so he isn't a complete unknown. That being said, fantasy owners probably didn't roll the dice on the lefty this late in the season after he lasted just three innings against the lowly Padres in his last start.

Blach will start Saturday against the Dodgers, Amy Gutierrez of CSN Bay Area reports.

The Giants announced after Friday's game that Blach will make the penultimate start of the regular season -- his second career start at the major league level. Blach will have his work cut out for him as he'll be opposing Dodgers ace Clayton Kershaw, although the Los Angeles lineup has had some major issues against lefty pitchers throughout the campaign (league-worst .633 OPS).

Gsellman (4-2) gave up an earned run on seven hits and a walk over six innings in Friday's 5-1 victory over the Phillies. He struck out seven.

The rookie right-hander was masterful over his time on the mound, notching 13 swinging strikes and keeping the Phillies off balance throughout the night. Gsellman has now stymied Philadelphia over his last two starts, giving up only Friday's earned run over 13 innings, while also notching 15 strikeouts over that span. The 23-year-old wraps up a stellar first season with a 4-2 record, 2.42 ERA and 42 strikeouts over 44.2 innings.

Hoffman will start Saturday against the Brewers, Thomas Harding of MLB.com reports.

Tyler Anderson was scratched and the Rockies will turn to Hoffman to toe the rubber in his absence. Hoffman has fared reasonably well in two relief appearances, but he struggled mightily in five starts to begin his MLB career (nearly a 1.000 OPS allowed to opposing hitters) he will come with significant of downside in the home start.

Reyes pitched six innings, allowing one run on seven hits and two walks while striking out six Reds in Thursday's no-decision.

Reyes came through big, improving his team's position in the Wild Card standings Thursday. The Cardinals watched their rookie right-hander rise to the occasion by weaving his way through a few trouble spots for his third quality start of the month. Over six September innings, Reyes managed a 3-1 record with an impressive 1.97 ERA with 35 strikeouts in 32 innings.

Gomez was tagged with a loss Thursday after allowing four runs on three hits in a third of an inning against the Braves.

Gomez entered Thursday's game with the score tied in the eighth. His chances of earning another save this season are slim given his recent struggles. Hector Neris and Michael Mariot are the primary candidates for save chances should the Phillies generate any over the final games of the season.
