Rodney picked up his 25th save with a clean ninth inning in Friday's 2-1 win over the Giants. He struck out one batter in the 12-pitch inning.

Rodney has recovered well since blowing consecutive saves in early July. Since then, he has yet to allow a single run and has given up just one hit and two walks with 11 strikeouts over 6.1 innings. His inconsistency can be maddening at times, but this kind of hot streak really showcases the talent that has earned him the closer's role in Arizona.

Banda (1-1) held the Giants to one run on three hits and four walks with seven strikeouts over six innings in a win Friday against San Francisco.

He outdueled Madison Bumgarner, who was in top form Friday night. Banda was wild at times, but by opting to nibble with runners on base, he managed to avoid any crooked numbers. Thus far, Banda has shown he'll be a more than adequate fill-in until Robbie Ray (concussion) is ready to return.

Vizcaino gave up a hit and walked one in a scoreless ninth inning Friday to pick up his fourth save of the season in a 5-3 win over the Marlins.

He's now recorded the Braves' last two saves, but it's too early to say that Vizcaino has completely pushed Jim Johnson out of the closing mix in Atlanta. The 26-year-old fireballer certainly represents the future in the Braves bullpen, though, and is the better bet for saves on the rebuilding club over the last two months.

Melancon gave up four runs on four hits over one inning in a rehab appearance at High-A San Jose, broadcaster Joe Ritzo reports.

This rehab appearance was going to be a big one in determining how ready Melancon was to return to the majors. Expect an update later this week but after this rough outing, the Giants may choose to slow Melancon's rehab down to make sure he's fully healthy and ready to contribute down the stretch.

Iglesias allowed no runs on one hit and one walk to earn his 19th save Friday against the Cardinals.

Iglesias was protecting a one-run lead and put a pair of runners on base with just one out before recording a fly out and strike out to nail down the victory. He's been an outstanding fantasy option, as he boasts a 1.84 ERA along with a 1.01 WHIP while blowing just a single save in 20 opportunities.

Floro was claimed off waivers by the Dodgers on Friday, JP Hoornstra of the Southern California News Group reports.

Floro was claimed and then optioned to Triple-A Oklahoma City after being designated for assignment by the Cubs on Monday. He's spent most of the 2017 season with Triple-A Iowa, posting a 3.88 ERA and 1.29 WHIP. During three appearances with Chicago, Floro was battered around, allowing seven earned runs in just 9.2 innings.

Robles (hand) will undergo tests to determine the specific nature of his injury, Adam Rubin of the NY Post reports.

Robles experienced right hand numbness while dealing with cramping in his midsection during Thursday's games, and will be examined in the next 24 hours to figure out a course of action. The reliever should be considered day-to-day until the results from his MRI are released.

De La Rosa was sent down to Triple-A Reno on Friday.

With Anthony Banda coming up for Friday's start, De La Rosa will take his place in Reno. The reliever has appeared in just nine games for the Diamondbacks this season, posting a 4.70 ERA and 1.43 WHIP in 7.2 innings. It seems likely that De La Rosa will return to the big-league bullpen in the near future.

Torres has a 4.31 ERA and 1.56 WHIP with 43 strikeouts across 54.1 innings.

Torres was a reliable piece out of the bullpen in 2016, but has been prone to implosions throughout this season. The 34-year-old has given up three runs or more on four occasions in 2017, and is unlikely to see consistent high-leverage usage the rest of the way.

Hernandez struck out the lone batter he faced to collect his first 2017 hold as a member of the Diamondbacks in the team's 10-8 win over the Cubs on Thursday.

Hernandez entered the contest in the top of the seventh inning after starter Zack Greinke was pulled upon allowing the first batter of the inning, Javier Baez, to reach base on an infield single. Though Baez was able to steal second off Hernandez, the reliever got the job done in his team debut, striking out Ben Zobrist before giving way to Andrew Chafin. While Hernandez was used for matchup purposes Thursday, he seems more likely to make full-inning appearances more often than not with his new (and former) team, likely forming a key part of the bridge to closer Fernando Rodney.
