Moore (4-13) gave up five runs on eight hits with just two strikeouts while taking the loss against the Padres on Tuesday.

Four of Moore's five runs came via the long ball, and he now owns a career-worst 1.4 HR/9 over 154 innings. The 28-year-old looked to be turning his atrocious season around with a 2.21 ERA over his previous three starts, but Tuesday's loss in a favorable matchup reminded fantasy owners that they should steer clear of the inconsistent southpaw at all costs.

Hand issued a walk and struck out a batter over a scoreless inning while picking up his 13th save of the season in a 6-3 win over San Francisco on Tuesday.

Hand needed just 11 pitches to breeze through the Giants in the ninth inning. The 27-year-old has posted a 2.16 ERA with 11 saves since officially taking over as the Padres' closer on July 23. He owns an impressive 23:5 K:BB ratio over that 15-game span.

Cleavinger will play in the Arizona Fall League this year, Corey Seidman of CSN Philadelphia reports.

Cleavinger was acquired from the Orioles in the Jeremy Hellickson trade last month. He is 2-5 with a 6.18 ERA and a 58:30 K:BB in 51 innings between Double-A Bowie and Double-A Reading this season. The 2015 third-round pick needs to reduce his walks to become a more effective pitcher.

Suter (shoulder) is on track to be activated from the DL when rosters expand Friday, Adam McCalvy of MLB.com reports.

He is heading out on a rehab assignment Tuesday to and undisclosed affiliate after not having pitched in a game since Aug. 12 due to an ailing shoulder. Brandon Woodruff is expected to occupy the fifth spot in the rotation at the start of the month, so Suter will likely work out in the bullpen. However, if the Brewers need a sixth starter at any point over the rest of the season, Suter would be the favorite to step in. He posted a 3.79 ERA, 1.28 WHIP and 49 strikeouts in 59.1 innings with the big club prior to the injury.

Leiter won't make his scheduled start Tuesday against the Braves after the game was postponed due to rain, Meghan Montemurro of The News Journal reports.

The Phillies and Braves will make up Tuesday's contest as part of a doubleheader Wednesday, with Jerad Eickhoff handling Game 1 of the twin bill for Philadelphia and Leiter set to take the hill in Game 2, according to Montemurro. The postponement will result in Leiter missing out on a two-start week, as he'll no longer line up for a second start Sunday against the Marlins.

Jackson (shoulder) will report Wednesday to Triple-A Gwinnett to begin a rehab assignment, David O'Brien of The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports.

Jackson has been sidelined for just over the minimum 10 days with the shoulder strain, so he may only need one tune-up appearance in the minors before the Braves likely activate him Sept. 1 when rosters expand. The right-hander, who carries a 4.65 ERA and 1.40 WHIP over 40.2 innings with the big club this season, will likely work in middle relief once he rejoins the Braves.

McGowan was optioned to Triple-A Las Vegas on Monday, MLB.com reports.

McGowan joined the Mets as the club's 26th man for their doubleheader Sunday against the Nationals, but didn't appear in either game of the twin bill. As expected, his stay with the big club was brief, but he could be recalled from Triple-A on Sept. 1 when rosters expand.

Sims (2-4) allowed four runs on eight hits and a walk across 6.1 innings while taking the loss Monday against the Phillies. He struck out seven.

Sims notched a career high in strikeouts in this one, but a two-run sixth inning and a solo home run in the seventh put him on the hook for the loss. He pounded the strike zone at a 72 percent clip, but his control wavered as he got deep into the game, and he paid the price. Although he lost for the first time in three starts, Sims displayed effective stuff and will look to follow up with an improved result Saturday against the Cubs.

Chafin recorded two outs and walked a batter in the eighth inning of Sunday's11-0 win over the Giants.

With the Diamondbacks nursing a 2-0 lead, Chafin entered the contest in the top of the eighth and walked Joe Panik, but he erased him on a double-play groundout from Brandon Crawford. David Hernandez came on to record the final out of the frame before the Diamondbacks' offense exploded for nine runs in the bottom half of the inning, allowing Chafin to pick up his 16th hold of the season. He trails only Archie Bradley (17) in that category among the team's relievers.

Nelson (10-6) allowed two earned runs on four hits through 6.2 innings of a 3-2 win over the Dodgers on Sunday. He walked two and struck out six.

The victory is the first in five starts for Nelson, who improved his ERA to a respectable 3.75 after prevailing over baseball's best team. The 28-year-old is now one win shy of tying his career high set in 2015, while his 181 strikeouts continue to add to a new personal best. Nelson lines up for another tough matchup in his next start Friday against Washington.
