Wilson pitched 1.1 perfect innings in Saturday's loss to the Brewers and struck out three.

It's been a rough go for Wilson since coming over to the Cubs before the July 31 trade deadline, and he's been particularly bad this month with an 11.57 ERA over 4.2 innings even after Saturday's strong outing. The Cubs could really benefit from Wilson establishing himself as a trusted left-handed reliever, but time is running out on the regular season, and it's hard to see the team being too patient if Wilson struggles in the postseason.

Bracho retired one of the two batters he faced in Saturday's 12-6 loss to the Marlins, giving up a hit and notching a strikeout.

Bracho has made five appearances for the Diamondbacks since joining the team as a September callup, giving up three runs on three walks and two hits over three innings. He'll likely see most of his usage in lower-leverage situations for the final week of the regular season and seems unlikely to earn a spot on the Diamondbacks' roster during the postseason.

Peters allowed five runs on six hits and three walks while striking out just one batter over four innings in a no-decision against Arizona on Saturday.

This was the fifth start of the season for Peters, and he's now allowed 18 runs over 18.2 innings in his past four outings. The 25-year-old lefty is up to a 6.31 ERA, and 1.75 WHIP for the season, so his fantasy appeal is extremely limited. Peters projects to make his final start of the season against Atlanta at Marlins Park.

Vizcaino struck out all three batters he faced to collect his 13th save of the season in a win over Philadelphia on Saturday.

There have been a few rough outings for Vizcaino since taking over the closing job, but he's now finished off 11 of his last 12 save opportunities and sports a 2.88 ERA, 1.12 WHIP and 10.1 K/9 for the season. He's locked in as a must-own fantasy asset, and the hard-throwing righty should have a firm grasp on the closing role for the Braves to start the 2018 campaign.

Stephenson (5-6) was charged with four runs (two earned) on five hits over six innings in a losing effort against the Red Sox on Saturday. He struck out four and issued two walks.

His own error led to one of the two unearned runs, and he benefitted somewhat from shadows on the field which made it tough on opposing hitters, but this was an encouraging outing nonetheless. The 24-year-old was able to limit the free passes, continuing a trend of improved control in recent starts. Stephenson has allowed five hits or fewer in each of his last five starts, with four of those coming at home. He lines up to face the Cubs at Wrigley Field in his final start of 2017.

Suter allowed one earned run over 5.1 innings in Saturday's victory over the Cubs. He gave up six hits, struck out two, and walked none in the no-decision.

Suter was brilliant for the second start in a row, and he lowered his ERA on the season to 3.29 with Saturday's effort. Manager Craig Counsell has capped Suter's innings of late, but if Suter pitches like he did Saturday, he should still have a chance to pick up a win in what figures to be his final start of the regular season next week against the Reds.

Edwards (5-4) grabbed the win in Friday's game against the Brewers, striking out two and walking one over 1.2 scoreless innings.

Edwards recorded two outs in the ninth inning and then closed out the Brewers in the bottom of the 10th. Closer Wade Davis threw 29 pitches Thursday and was not available to close out the game in the 10th. Edwards' ability to go more than an inning and strike batters out (12.9 K/9) makes him a valuable member of the Cubs' bullpen, although his fantasy value is only moderate in leagues that don't count holds.

Jansen gave up a solo home run to Pablo Sandoval while striking out the side in the ninth inning to record his 40th save of the season in a 4-2 win over the Giants on Friday.

Jansen has now reached the 40-save plateau three times, and his absurd 105:7 K:BB over 66 innings is the best ratio of his career. The righty could be used sparingly over the final days of the regular season, however, as the Dodgers sit on the brink of clinching home field throughout the NL playoffs.

Rodney allowed a hit and a walk while striking out two in a scoreless ninth inning Friday to notch his 39th save of the season in a 13-11 win over the Marlins.

He's now on the brink of his third career 40-save campaign, which would put him in elite company as Mariano Rivera is the only reliever in history to ring up 40 saves in a season after his 40th birthday. Rodney's 2.82 ERA, 1.03 WHIP and 27:8 K:BB in 22.1 second-half innings have surprisingly made him one of baseball's most reliable closers down the stretch.

Gsellman allowed six runs (five earned) on four hits and three walks with four strikeouts over five innings in a no-decision Friday against the Nationals.

Gsellman has completed the sixth inning just three times in seven starts since returning to the Mets rotation August 16. His inconsistency can largely be attributed to his poor control. He has walked 15 batters over just 37.2 innings in that stretch with just 21 strikeouts to offset all those free baserunners. Gsellman had allowed two runs or fewer in six of his past seven starts, but the other shoe finally dropped Friday.
