  • Phil Maton RP | CHC

Padres' Phil Maton: Back from DL

Maton (lat) was activated from the 10-day disabled list Thursday.

Maton is set to rejoin the Padres' bullpen after missing more than a month with a lat strain. The right-hander was able to make six minor-league rehab appearances, allowing just one run across 6.2 innings of work. Maton posted a 0.56 ERA across 16 innings with the Padres prior to landing on the shelf, so he should quickly work his way back to a prominent spot in the bullpen.

  • Shelby Miller RP | CHC

Diamondbacks' Shelby Miller: Set to make season debut Monday

Miller (elbow) will be activated from the 60-day disabled list to start Monday against the Marlins, Steve Gilbert of MLB.com reports.

Miller has been cleared to make his long-awaited 2018 big-league debut after completing a lengthy recovery process that included a four-game rehab assignment. He posted a 4.66 ERA and 28:6 K:BB across 19.1 innings in those four outings (two with Double-A Jackson, two with High-A Visalia). The right-hander, who hasn't pitched in the majors since April of 2017 due to an elbow injury that ultimately required Tommy John surgery, will assume the rotation spot of Matt Koch, who was sent to the minors Wednesday. With Robbie Ray (oblique) also nearing a return from the disabled list, Miller may need to pitch well right away if he wants to stick in the rotation.

  • Reds' Wandy Peralta: Demoted to minors

Peralta was optioned to Triple-A Louisville on Thursday.

Peralta has been unable to replicate his 2017 form (3.64 ERA across 64.2 frames), scuffling to an unsightly 6.14 ERA across 29.1 innings this season. His struggles culminated in blowup against the Tigers on Tuesday in which he allowed five runs on four hits and a walk without recording an out. The lefty will now try to sort things out in the minors before returning to the big-league bullpen sometime later in the summer. Kyle Crockett was promoted from Triple-A Louisville in a corresponding roster move.

  • Kyle Crockett RP | CIN

Reds' Kyle Crockett: Contract purchased from minors

Crockett had his contract purchased from Triple-A Louisville on Thursday.

Crockett will take the place of the struggling Wandy Peralta, who was sent to the minors in a corresponding roster move. The 26-year-old lefty posted a 4.00 ERA and 23:5 K:BB across 27 innings with the Bats before earning a promotion. Crockett will likely be limited to a lower-leverage role out of the bullpen during his time with the Reds.

  • Yency Almonte RP | LAD

Rockies' Yency Almonte: Promoted to majors

Almonte was recalled from Triple-A Albuquerque on Thursday, Thomas Harding of MLB.com reports.

Almonte will offer a fresh arm out of the Rockies' bullpen after manager Bud Black deployed six relievers in Wednesday's 10-8 win. The right-hander was scheduled to start for the Isotopes on Thursday, so he'll be available to pitch multiple innings out of the bullpen if necessary. He posted a 6.27 ERA and 22:12 K:BB across nine starts (33 innings) with Albuquerque prior to getting the call. Ryan McMahon was sent to the minors in a corresponding roster move.

  • Dominic Leone RP | CHW

Cardinals' Dominic Leone: Going through arm strengthening program

Leone (biceps) is undergoing a strengthening program for his arm due to atrophy he's experienced because of nerve issues, Derrick Goold of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports.

Leone has been on the 60-day disabled list since May 30, but he's been sidelined since a May 5 outing in which he experienced spasms in his throwing arm. The reliever is waiting for full nerve regeneration in his arm before he resumes throwing, so his recovery timeline remains murky for the time being.

  • Brent Suter RP | ATL

Brewers' Brent Suter: Confirmed for Thursday's start

Suter will pitch against St. Louis on Thursday, Adam McCalvy of MLB.com reports.

Manager Craig Counsell elected to push everyone in the rotation back a day following Wednesday's rainout. Suter has appeared in 15 games for the Brewers this season, accumulating a 4.30 ERA and 1.22 WHIP.

  • Brent Suter RP | ATL

Brewers' Brent Suter: Inclement weather postpones Wednesday's outing

Suter will not take the mound against Pittsburgh on Wednesday due to inclement weather, Adam McCalvy of MLB.com reports.

The Brewers have yet to release their plans for the rotation for this upcoming weekend, but it's expected that Suter will pitch the series opener versus the Cardinals on Thursday, per McCalvy. Look for the club to clear things up in the next couple hours.

  • Matt Koch RP | COL

Diamondbacks' Matt Koch: Demoted to Reno

Koch was optioned to Triple-A Reno following Tuesday's start.

Koch will return to the minors after spending the past two months in the Diamondbacks' rotation. Over that span, he logged a 4.40 ERA and 1.20 WHIP with a 38:17 K:BB across 71.2 innings. Though his raw numbers were solid at the onset of his promotion, the right-hander has been been streaky throughout his time with Arizona, including an outing against the Angles on Tuesday during which he allowed five earned runs off seven hits, two walks and two hit batsman in 5.2 innings. Koch will receive regular starts in Reno moving forward. In a corresponding move, Jake Barrett was recalled.

  • Hansel Robles RP | LAD

Mets' Hansel Robles: Demoted to minors

Robles was sent down to Triple-A Las Vegas on Wednesday, Anthony DiComo of MLB.com reports.

Robles had another underwhelming outing during Tuesday's game, giving up two earned runs off three hits and three walks over 1.2 innings. The 27-year-old appeared in 16 games for the Mets this year, logging a pedestrian 5.03 ERA -- and a 7.17 FIP -- with a 1.58 WHIP across 19.2 innings of relief. This will mark his second stint in the minors in 2018, as he spent two weeks at the Triple-A in late April. In a corresponding move, the Mets recalled Chris Flexen.
