Daniel Hudson RP | LAD
Dodgers' Daniel Hudson: Lands on disabled list
Hudson was placed on the 10-day disabled list Tuesday with right forearm tightness.
Hudson has pitched only once in the last week -- a two inning effort Friday -- but it's unclear when the injury first cropped up. Switch-handed pitcher Pat Venditte joins the Dodgers from Triple-A to bolster their bullpen depth.

Adrian Morejon RP | SD
Padres' Adrian Morejon: Sent to minor-league DL
Morejon was placed on the minor-league disabled list with a small triceps issue, Jeff Sanders of The San Diego Union-Tribune reports.
Fortunately, Morejon isn't dealing with any issue to his ulnar collateral ligament. The plan is to shut the prospect down for 10 days before allowing him to build back up with a restricted pitch count. It's Morejon's second trip to the disabled list stint in the past two months -- his other due to a hip flexor issue -- so the Padres figure to proceed cautiously with the young southpaw.

Buddy Boshers RP | HOU
Pirates' Buddy Boshers: Claimed by Pirates
Boshers was claimed off waivers by the Pirates on Tuesday, Bill Brink of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports.
Boshers, who was designated for assignment by the Astros, was sent to Triple-A Indianapolis after being scooped up by Pittsburgh. The 30-year-old hasn't pitched in the majors this season, though he owns a solid 3.18 ERA and 55:15 K:BB across 51 innings at Triple-A. He'll serve as organizational bullpen depth.

Enyel De Los Santos RP | HOU
Phillies' Enyel De Los Santos: Back in big leagues
De Los Santos was recalled from Triple-A Lehigh Valley on Tuesday, Matt Gelb of The Athletic Philadelphia reports.
De Los Santos will offer an fresh arm out of the bullpen after the Phillies deployed six relievers during Monday's extra-innings loss. The 22-year-old has scuffled to a 6.75 ERA in two starts at the major-league level this season, though he owns a pristine 2.51 ERA across 18 starts (104 innings) with the IronPigs. Dylan Cozens was sent to the minors in a corresponding roster move.

Kyle Barraclough RP | BOS
Marlins' Kyle Barraclough: Removed from closer role
Manager Don Mattingly said Barraclough will be removed from the closer role, Joe Frisaro of MLB.com reports.
Barraclough has struggled mightily as of late, blowing three saves and allowing 11 runs (including two homers) with a 3:5 K:BB across his last 3.2 innings (five appearances), prompting Mattingly to turn to a closer-by-committee approach in the ninth inning while allowing the right-hander to regroup in a lower-leverage role. Drew Steckenrider and Tayron Guerrero are both options to see chances in the ninth inning while Barraclough figures things out. Given his past success, it wouldn't be surprising to see the 28-year-old Barraclough return to the late-inning mix for the stretch run if he gets back on track.

John Brebbia RP | COL
Cardinals' John Brebbia: Sent back to minors
Brebbia was optioned to Triple-A Memphis on Tuesday.
Brebbia will head back to the minors to clear a spot on the active roster for Tyson Ross, who was recently claimed off waivers by the Cardinals. The 28-year-old owns a respectable 3.83 ERA and 40:13 K:BB across 40 innings of relief with the big club this season, so he should be back in the majors when a fresh bullpen arm is needed.
-
Ariel Hernandez RP | LAD
Brewers' Ariel Hernandez: Claimed by Brewers
Hernandez was claimed off waivers by the Brewers on Tuesday.
Hernandez, who was designated for assignment by the Dodgers last week, will report to Triple-A Colorado Springs. The 26-year-old right-hander compiled a solid 2.52 ERA and 49:29 K:BB across 50 minor-league innings (between Double-A and Triple-A) before being cut loose by Los Angeles. He tossed 24.1 innings of relief for the Reds in 2017, posting a 5.18 ERA and 29:22 K:BB. Hernandez should serve as organizational bullpen depth for Milwaukee during the stretch run.
-
Robert Stephenson RP | LAA
Reds' Robert Stephenson: Will start Wednesday
Stephenson will get the start for the Reds on Wednesday against the Mets, Mark Sheldon of MLB.com reports.
Stephenson has really pulled it together at Triple-A Louisville, posting a 2.87 ERA, 1.16 WHIP and 135 strikeouts in 113 innings. He has walked 57 batters, but that walk rate generally has been lower lately. He takes the spot vacated by Tyler Mahle, but it's uncertain if he'll get more starts beyond that, as it gives the Reds six starters again.

Victor Arano RP | WAS
Phillies' Victor Arano: Throws sixth straight scoreless outing
Arano threw 1.2 scoreless innings in Monday's extra-innings loss to the Diamondbacks, striking out one and allowing three hits.
Arano got into a bit of trouble in the 10th inning, allowing a pair of one-out singles to Paul Goldschmidt and David Peralta, but he got out of the jam and went on to keep the game scoreless through the bottom of the 11th. Arano's season ERA now sits at 2.09 through 43 innings. Seranthony Dominguez remains the Phillies' primary closing option, but he's now given up runs in his last two appearances. Arano is one of a small handful of relievers who could be poised to take over a higher-leverage role and earn the occasional save should Dominguez continue to falter.

Will Smith RP | KC
Giants' Will Smith: Second blown save
Smith blew the save and took the loss Monday, allowing a three-run home run in the ninth inning against Houston.
With the Giants clinging to a 1-0 lead, Smith entered the game and issued two walks before Marwin Gonzalez muscled one out to left-center field. It will probably end up being nothing more than a blip in an otherwise stellar season for Smith. He still has the second-best FIP among relievers (1.50) and he had taken to the ninth-inning role brilliantly before Monday's slip-up.
