Strop exited Thursday's game against the Nationals with left hamstring soreness, Paul Sullivan of the Chicago Tribune reports.

Strop suffered the injury while running to first base, and the issue is expected to keep him out for a while according to manager Joe Maddon. The timetable for Strop's return is unclear, but his availability moving forward should be determined after undergoing further tests.

Strop appeared to injure his left hamstring while running to first base during Thursday's game against Washington, Buster Olney of ESPN reports.

Strop batted for himself in the top of the 10th inning, and he injured himself while trying to beat the throw at first base after hitting a groundball. The severity of the injury has yet to be uncovered, but more news should emerge following the game.

Koch (5-5) threw three innings and took the loss Thursday, yielding four runs on eight hits and two walks in the 10-3 defeat against Colorado. He struck out two and gave up two home runs.

Chafin has been the Diamondbacks' top choice for lefty-on-lefty matchups for the bulk of the season, but his recent struggles may have resulted in Jake Diekman surpassing him in the bullpen hierarchy. The 28-year-old has walked five of the past seven batters he has faced, eliminating any utility he offers in his situational role. Manager Torey Lovullo may want Chafin to iron out his control problems in lower-leverage spots before turning to him again late in close games.

Hader (6-1) gave up a hit but struck out the side in the eighth inning Wednesday and picked up the victory over the Cubs.

The Brewers never trailed in Wednesday's game, but starter Chase Anderson only went four innings, and the official scorer -- as is his discretion -- decided to award the victory to Hader rather than Corey Knebel, who finished the fifth inning and also picked the sixth frame. Hader has 17 strikeouts in just 7.2 innings this month.

Jansen fired a perfect inning with a strikeout in Wednesday's 8-1 win over the Reds.

Jansen didn't travel with the club during last weekend's series in Colorado due to his heart condition. The absence was purely precautionary, and the closer immediately rejoined the bullpen Monday. Jansen has now made five consecutive scoreless appearances with a 6:0 K:BB ratio following his brief struggles at the end of August.

Richards (3-9) took the loss against the Mets on Wednesday, giving up six runs (four earned) on seven hits over five innings, striking out two and walking one in Miami's 13-0 defeat.

One start after he got lit up for six earned in 1.1 innings, Richards got tagged for four earned in this contest before exiting after throwing 89 pitches. He now has a 4.85 ERA and a 1.46 WHIP over 107.2 innings on the season, numbers that leave him outside the tier of viable streaming options.

Yates gave up two hits and a run but still picked up the save against the Mariners on Wednesday, striking out one and walking none in the ninth inning to close out San Diego's 5-4 victory.

Yates made it interesting after giving up a pair of hits in the ninth, including a solo homer to Kyle Seager, but he eventually slammed the door to preserve the one-run victory. The right-hander now has nine saves in 10 chances on the season to go along with a 2.06 ERA, 0.92 WHIP and 79 strikeouts across 56.2 innings.

Poncedeleon (0-2) took the loss Wednesday against the Pirates, allowing two runs on five hits and one walk across five innings. He struck out seven.

All five hits Poncedeleon allowed were singles, but they all came in the second and third innings, resulting in a pair of runs. The rookie now owns a shiny 2.79 ERA, 1.09 WHIP and 22:6 K:BB across four starts (19.1 innings) this season, though it's unclear if he'll get another turn in the rotation or head back to the bullpen.
