Iglesias struck out three and walked one in a hitless ninth inning Tuesday to pick up the save against the Brewers.

Iglesias walked Curtis Granderson to start off the ninth inning but then got Christian Yelich, Domingo Santana and Hernan Perez to strike out swinging. Iglesias has now thrown four straight hitless innings and is 28-for-32 in save opportunities on the year. The 28-year-old sports a 2.43 ERA, 1.05 WHIP and 72:22 K:BB in 66.2 innings. Despite playing for a team that is in last place in its division, Iglesias is tied for fifth in the NL with his 28 saves.

Neris struck out two during a perfect ninth inning to secure the save in Tuesday's 5-2 win over the Mets.

The save was Neris' 11th of the season and first since June 16, as he responded from allowing three runs while recording only one out in Monday's game. The 27-year-old appears to have worked his way back into a higher-leverage role for the Phillies as the regular season reaches it's final stages.

Guerra is not in the lineup Tuesday against the Giants.

Guerra will retreat to the bench after starting the past three games. While the 22-year-old went just 1-for-7 with a trio of strikeouts in those appearances, the Padres seem committed to giving him opportunities down the stretch. Freddy Galvis will slide to shortstop in this one, with Jose Pirela starting at the keystone.

Loup (forearm) was activated from the 10-day disabled list Tuesday.

Loup wound up spending a little more than a month on the shelf with a forearm strain. The 30-year-old owns a 4.78 ERA, 1.62 WHIP and 43:14 K:BB across 37.2 innings with the Blue Jays and Phillies this season. He figures to serve as one of the team's top left-handed options out of the bullpen down the stretch.

Koch will head back to the bullpen with Matt Andriese set to replace the injured Clay Buchholz (elbow) in the rotation Tuesday against the Cubs, Steve Gilbert of MLB.com reports.

After Buchholz was shut down after experiencing elbow stiffness during a pregame bullpen session last Thursday in Colorado, Koch was pressed into a starting role on short notice. Considering the circumstances, Koch did well to eat three innings for the Diamondbacks, though he was tagged for four runs on eight hits and two walks. With Koch having posted a 4.83 ERA and a measly 4.5 K/9 over 13 starts with the big club this season, the Diamondbacks weren't eager to look his way again for starts over the final two weeks, so they'll instead give Andriese a chance to prove his worth in the rotation.

Guerra went 0-for-2 with a strikeout in Monday's loss to the Giants.

Guerra was making his third consecutive start at shortstop. The 22-year-old is 1-for-9 with five strikeouts so far in the majors, but the rebuilding Padres seem intent to get a look at him over the final few weeks of the season. Guerra's at-bats will likely continue to come primarily at the expense of Cory Spangenberg and Jose Pirela, with Freddy Galvis shifted over to second base.

Smith tossed a perfect inning Monday against San Diego en route to his 13th save of the season.

The Giants' 11-game losing streak to begin September caused Smith to endure a drought of save opportunities. The club has since reversed its fortunes, allowing the southpaw to pick up two saves over the last three days. Smith, who sports a fine 1.80 ERA, will continue to operate as the primary closing option in San Francisco to close out the season.

Suarez (7-11) fired 7.2 innings of two-run ball Monday, giving up four hits and three walks while striking out four and picking up the victory over the Padres.

Suarez needed just 87 pitches (58 strikes) to complete 7.2 frames -- his longest outing of the season. The 25-year-old did surrender another home run, which has been the primary blemish (1.4 HR/9) on an otherwise solid rookie campaign (4.24 ERA and 7.4 K/9). Suarez will face stiffer competition in his next start on the road against the Cardinals on Sunday.

Richards surrendered four runs on five hits and one walk while striking out six over five innings Monday against the Nationals. He didn't factor into the decision.

Richards gave up a run in the second inning and three in the third, but the Marlins would rally to get him off the hook for the loss. The 25-year-old has been knocked around through three starts in September, allowing 14 earned runs with 10 strikeouts across 11.1 innings. Richards will search for a more favorable outcome in his next start Sunday against Cincinnati.

Hudson (forearm) was moved to the 60-day disabled list Monday, J.P. Hoornstra of the Los Angeles Daily News reports.

Hudson was placed on the 10-day disabled list Aug. 24 due to right forearm tightness, and after this latest move, his season will officially come to an end. He logged 46 innings this year, posting a 4.11 ERA and 1.22 WHIP with a 44:18 K:BB. In a corresponding move, Tony Cingrani (shoulder) was activated from the shelf.
