Kelly got the loss and another blown save in Monday's 4-3 loss to the Cardinals, giving up one earned run on two hits in his one inning of work. He walked one and didn't log a strikeout.

Kelly's nightmare start to the 2019 campaign continued in this contest, as he was saddled with the loss and his third blown save in five appearances after giving up a game-tying RBI single to Jose Martinez. He simply hasn't been able to get on track to start the season, as he's now given up 12 hits and nine earned runs in just six innings.

Hader is unavailable for Monday's game against the Angels after throwing 2.2 innings Sunday, Tom Haudricourt of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.

This update from skipper Craig Counsell is unsurprising, as it took Hader 36 pitches to retire the final eight batters in Sunday's series finale against the Cubs. He could be down for the next few days, but Counsell neglected to reveal when his star reliever might be available to pitch again. Hader has slotted into the closer's role for Milwaukee in the early going, so with the left-hander out of the mix Monday, it remains to be seen who Counsell will roll with in a save situation. Alex Wilson is the only reliever who's gotten a chance to slam the door in 2019, outside of Hader.

Loup was placed on the 10-day injured list Monday with a left elbow strain.

Loup fired a scoreless inning of relief Sunday against the Cardinals and apparently picked up an injury in the process. It's unclear how long the issue will keep the southpaw sidelined at this point. Brad Wieck will take Loup's place on the active roster and in the bullpen.

Biddle surrendered hits to the only two batters he faced in Sunday's win over the Marlins.

The left-hander gave up singles to Miguel Rojas and Martin Prado to lead off the eighth inning, but Biddle was rescued by Wes Parsons to avoid taking any damage to his ERA. It's the first outing this season in which Biddle hasn't recorded a strikeout, and his 5:0 K:BB through 5.2 innings is solid. The 27-year-old will continue working in middle relief for the Braves, a role that likely won't afford him much fantasy value, even in formats that reward holds.

Vizcaino (1-0) gave up a solo home run to Curtis Granderson in the ninth inning Sunday to blow his first save of the season, but was credited with the win after the Braves walked it off in the bottom half of the frame.

The right-hander did strike out a batter, giving him a 6:3 K:BB through four innings, and was sitting 95-96 mph with his fastball, so there's no immediate cause for concern. Vizcaino remains in the ninth-inning mix alongside A.J. Minter, and while he won't be leading the league in saves, he could still deliver 15-plus once again if he avoids any lengthy IL stints.

Gsellman gave up a hit and struck out one in a scoreless inning of relief during Sunday's loss to the Nationals.

The right-hander was effective in this one, but he's been tagged for runs in three of his five appearances so far. More encouraging is his 5:0 K:BB through five innings -- if Gsellman continues to command the strike zone in that fashion, he'll quickly chip away at his 5.40 ERA and position himself for a key role in the Mets' bullpen.

Hudson, who logged his first career save last Wednesday versus the Pirates, will start Tuesday's game against the Dodgers, Derrick Goold of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports.

Hudson's temporary move to the bullpen was strictly a byproduct of how the schedule lined up for the Cardinals. The right-hander struggled to keep the ball in the park during his first start of the season on March 30, allowing four runs (three earned) on seven hits, including three home runs, against the Brewers.

Reyes, who was officially optioned to Triple-A Memphis on Sunday, is slated to be used in a variety of roles with the Redbirds, Derrick Goold of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports.

Reyes will be utilized in scheduled two-inning appearances, but he may also get occasional starts. The overriding goal will be to have Reyes consistently log 30-to-40-pitch outings, as the Cardinals intend to eventually have him return to the majors as both a multi- and late-inning option out of the bullpen. Reyes' rough start to 2019, which saw him generate a 15.00 ERA over his first four appearances, earned him the demotion to Memphis, with the promising right-hander specifically blaming the majority of his struggles on a lack of consistent control.

Hader gave up no hits and struck out three in 2.2 innings to record his fifth save of the season in a 4-2 win over the Cubs.

Entering the game with one out in the seventh inning, Hader celebrated his birthday by giving up no runs and no hits over the next 2.2 innings to nail down his fifth save. The left-hander has not allowed a run and has a 13:1 K:BB ratio this season.

Neris notched his first save of the season by striking out two in the ninth inning of Sunday's game against the Twins.

Neris entered the contest in a one-run ballgame but didn't have any trouble slamming the door. He retired the first three batters he faced on 17 pitches, 12 for strikes. With David Robertson struggling early in the season, there's a chance Neris could see a few more save chances until Robertson gains back the confidence of his skipper.
