Yamamoto (4-0) allowed three runs (two earned) on four hits and two walks while striking out four across five innings to earn the win Tuesday against the Padres.

Yamamoto was gifted seven runs of support in the first two innings, and he largely held the Padres' offense in check. He started the contest shakily, allowing the first four batters he faced in the second inning to reach base, accounting for all three of the runs he allowed. While he also started the third frame by allowing two hits to the first three batters, he rebounded to retire eight of the final nine batters he faced. Yamamoto now has a 1.59 ERA and 0.94 WHIP through 34 innings. He has yet to allow a home run, masking a 4.5 BB/9.

Suarez will pitch out of the bullpen as a long reliever for the Giants, Kerry Crowley of The San Jose Mercury News reports.

Suarez made two starts in the majors earlier this season, but he'll work out of the bullpen this time around after being called up Tuesday. The 26-year-old has been unable to maintain a place on the major-league roster this season after posting a 4.49 ERA, 1.30 WHIP and 130:45 K:BB in 29 starts for the Giants in 2018.

Voth was recalled by the Nationals head of his scheduled start Tuesday in Baltimore.

Voth owns a 5.52 ERA in three starts for the Nationals this season, though his 16:5 K:BB is somewhat promising. The 27-year-old may be pitching for the chance to stick in the Nationals' rotation for at least a few more starts. Spencer Kieboom was optioned to Double-A Harrisburg in a corresponding move.

Wilson was recalled by the Braves and will start Tuesday's game on the road against the Brewers.

This move was widely expected with Kevin Gausman (foot) on the 10-day injured list. It's possible that Wilson's time with Atlanta could last longer than originally expected, as Max Fried (finger) was also placed on the 10-day injured list Tuesday. In four spot appearances (three starts) with the major-league squad this season, the 21-year-old has posted a 6.14 ERA. He's been better in his 15 appearances with Triple-A Gwinnett, recording a 4.67 ERA with 81 strikeouts.

Suarez was recalled from Triple-A Sacramento on Tuesday, Kerry Crowley of The San Jose Mercury News reports.

Suarez has started two games this season for the Giants, though he's been rocked for 10 runs while striking out seven over that stretch. Dereck Rodriguez was optioned to Triple-A in a corresponding move.

Coonrod was optioned to Triple-A Sacramento on Tuesday, Andrew Baggarly of The Athletic reports.

The right-hander was called up to serve as the 26th man for the Giants' doubleheader Monday against the Rockies, and he ended up pitching a scoreless ninth inning in the first game with San Francisco leading 19-2. He carries an ERA of 7.42 at the Triple-A level this season.

Rodriguez secured a victory in Game 2 of Monday's doubleheader against the Rockies, surrendering just one run over five innings of work, but he'll head right back down to Triple-A following his spot start. Andrew Suarez was recalled in a corresponding move.

Iglesias struck out two in 1.2 perfect innings Monday, earning the save over the Cubs.

Since giving up seven runs in two outings to end June, Iglesias has made five straight scoreless appearances in July. During that span, he's gone 1-0 with three saves and lowered his ERA to 3.79.

Smith picked up the save in the nightcap of San Francisco's doubleheader against the Rockies on Monday, tossing a scoreless ninth inning to close out a 2-1 victory. He walked one and didn't record a strikeout.

Smith blew his first save of the season his last time out, but he bounced back with a clean effort in this one, needing 17 pitches to dispatch of the Rockies and pick up his 24th save of the season. The left-hander has been one of the better closers in baseball this season despite playing for the last-place Giants, as he's now sporting a 2.11 ERA, a stellar 0.81 WHIP and a 54:9 K:BB through 38.1 innings.

Rodriguez (4-5) picked up the win in Game 2 of Monday's doubleheader against the Rockies, giving up one earned run on four hits over five innings, striking out six and walking none in a 2-1 victory.

Making his first start with the big club since May 31, Rodriguez was sharp, posting five solid frames before departing after just 66 pitches. It was a nice outing, but the 27-year-old has struggled overall for the Giants this season, as he's got a 4.99 ERA and a 1.39 WHIP over 61.1 innings, so it remains to be seen if this was enough to earn him another turn in the big-league rotation.
