Clarke is one possible starter for Saturday's game against the Giants, RIchard Morin of the Arizona Republic reports.

After moving Zack Godley to the bullpen for a second time this season, the Diamondbacks will need a fifth starter the next turn through the rotation. Manager Torey Lovullo stopped short of naming a starter but did confirm that spot would fall on Saturday. Clarke pitched for Triple-A Reno on Monday, which puts him in line for Saturday. He made his first MLB start for the Diamondbacks on May 7, when he allowed two runs over six innings against the Rays. Lovullo is also considering Jon Duplantier and mentioned long relievers T.J. McFarland and Matt Andriese as capable of providing some length if needed.

Yates dominated the Diamondbacks in one inning of work Tuesday, striking out the side to earn the save.

Another day, another save for the Padres' closer -- he now leads the majors with 19 saves in 19 chances this season. Yates continues to blow away hitters, sporting a 16.8 K/9 in his 23 innings. He has a good chance to run away with the saves crown this season on a San Diego squad that has posted a winning record while playing opponents close.

Strahm (2-3) completed six innings Tuesday, giving up two runs on four hits to earn the win over Arizona. He struck out two and did not walk a batter.

As promised by manager Andy Green last week, Strahm's pitch count was monitored closely -- he was removed after throwing only 69 pitches. Still, he was efficient enough to earn his second victory of the season, limiting the scoring to only a pair of solo home runs. Despite the ho-hum record, Strahm has pitched well in his first full season as a starter, compiling a 3.06 ERA and 1.12 WHIP in his nine outings. He'll have a tough road game Monday against the Yankees in his next scheduled start.

Iglesias allowed one hit in a scoreless ninth inning to record the save Tuesday against the Brewers.

Iglesias was called upon to close out a three-run lead in the ninth inning. After allowing a leadoff single, Iglesias slammed the door shut by inducing a line out and a double play to end the contest. After starting the season on a shaky note, Iglesias has turned in six consecutive scoreless appearances, during which he's struck out seven batters across 6.2 frames.

Floro was credited with a hold in the Dodgers' 7-3 win over the Rays on Tuesday, giving up one hit over 1.1 innings without allowing a baserunner. He didn't record a walk or a strikeout.

Floro continues to be a lights-out performer in the Dodgers' bullpen, as this latest scoreless outing lowered his ERA to a microscopic 0.44 to go along with a 0.79 WHIP in 20.1 innings. He also sports an excellent 15:2 K:BB. While he doesn't figure to see many save opportunities due to the presence of Kenley Jansen, he's establishing himself as arguably the best option in the setup corps.

Munoz was promoted to Triple-A El Paso on Tuesday, Dennis Lin of The Athletic reports.

The 20-year-old recorded a 1.72 ERA in 15.2 innings for Double-A Amarillo, striking out an incredible 45.7 percent of opposing hitters and touching 104 mph with his fastball. His 15.7 percent walk rate is certainly a concern, but the good has certainly outweighed the bad to this point in his career.

McGowan signed a minor-league contract with the Nationals on Tuesday, Jesse Dougherty of The Washington Post reports.

McGowan has eight career major-league appearances under his belt, all for the Mets back in 2017. The 27-year-old has most recently been pitching for the Sugar Land Skeeters of the independent Atlantic League. He'll be assigned to Triple-A Fresno.

Dominguez gave up three runs (two earned) on two walks and a hit Monday against the Cubs, striking out one batter over two innings.

Dominguez retired the top of the Cubs' lineup in order in the seventh inning but fell apart when asked to handle a second frame. He walked the first two batters he faced in the eighth and allowed both to score on a Daniel Descalso triple. Descalso scored himself after Jean Segura's throw hit him in the foot and bounced into the dugout as he slid for third, giving the Cubs the lead, but the Phillies' offense bailed Dominguez out in the top of the ninth. Notably, Monday's outing was the first in which Dominguez has recorded more than three outs this season, suggesting he may not be asked to do so again for a while. The 24-year-old has lost all his fantasy relevance from last season as he's not being tasked with save opportunities or a heavy workload and has a 5.03 ERA.

Kay was perfect through five innings for Double-A Binghamton on Monday, finishing the night allowing only one walk through seven scoreless, no-hit innings while striking out seven.

The southpaw has given up one run or fewer in eight of his nine outings for the Rumble Ponies this season, but Monday's gem was his best effort yet. Kay's 1.07 ERA, 0.77 WHIP and 52:17 K:BB through 50.2 innings make a compelling case for a promotion, but his next stop may not end up being at Triple-A -- Mets manager Mickey Callaway said Monday that the club had at least considered promoting the 24-year-old to the majors to fill the team's fifth starter spot, Mike Puma of the New York Post reports.

Yates got the save against the Diamondbacks on Monday, striking out two with no walks in a scoreless ninth inning to lock down San Diego's 2-1 victory.

The right-hander turned in yet another clean effort, dispatching of the Diamondbacks in order to make him a perfect 18-for-18 on save opportunities. Yates has been virtually untouchable to start 2019, as he's given up just three earned runs and struck out 40 batters in 22 innings.
