Rodriguez failed to record an out Saturday, giving up four runs on two hits and two walks in a 7-2 loss to the Dodgers.

Rodriguez was brought in late to a close contest with the Giants' bullpen being used heavily over the past few days, but the results were ugly for the swingman. There were talks that the 27-year-old could rejoin the rotation with the back end of the rotation running hot and cold at times, but Saturday's meltdown will put those plans on hold, especially with two off days coming up next week. Rodriguez owns a rough 5.10 ERA and 1.4 K/BB over 47.2 innings this season.

Pivetta (4-1) surrendered one run on six hits in a complete game to earn the victory against the Reds on Saturday. He struck out six and walked none.

Pivetta delivered the first complete game of his career by pouring in the strikes, with 71 of his 105 pitches finding the zone. The 26-year-old has strung together his two best starts of the season and has allowed one run on nine hits across his last 15 innings. Pivetta will look to continue that trend next weekend versus the Braves.

Jackson posted a four-out save, striking out the side in the ninth to preserve an 1-0 victory against the Marlins on Saturday.

The right-hander came on with a runner at second and two outs in the eighth, and while he gave up a walk, he worked out of that jam. Jackson then struck out the side with a single mixed in during the ninth. Since his last blown save May 21, Jackson has been better, yielding just one run in seven frames. Overall, he is 9-for-13 in save chances with a 2.90 ERA, 1.19 WHIP and 45 strikeouts in 31 innings this season.

Richards (3-6) allowed one run on two hits with three walks and five strikeouts across seven innings but took a loss against the Braves on Saturday.

Without any run support, Richards lost a 1-0 affair. He has allowed no more than one run in any of his last four outings, but he is just 2-1 during that stretch. That's pretty much the story of Richards' season. While he is 3-6, Richards owns a sparkling 3.06 ERA, 1.19 WHIP and .206 batting average against. He also has 68 strikeouts in 73.1 innings. Richards will look to keep his hot streak going in his next start at home against the Pirates on Friday.

Diaz gave up a hit and struck out two in a scoreless ninth inning Saturday to record his 14th save of the season in a 5-3 win over the Rockies.

The Mets closer has fanned multiple batters in three straight appearances and six of his last nine, pushing his K:BB on the year up to a nasty 43:7 through 25.2 innings. Diaz has blown two saves this season, both in the last couple of weeks, but he appears close to regaining the elite form he flashed with the Mariners in 2018.

Hader struck out the side in the ninth inning to post his 15th save of the season in a 5-3 victory over the Pirates on Saturday.

The 25-year-old clearly got his revenge against the one team he's blown a save against this year. Hader needed just 13 pitches, 11 of which he threw for strikes, to strike out the side. Hader is just 1-3, but he's 15-for-16 in save opportunities with a 2.27 ERA, 0.69 WHIP and 63 strikeouts in 31.2 innings this year.

Reyes was recalled from Triple-A El Paso on Saturday.

Reyes will make his third trip to the majors this season despite struggling with 10 runs allowed over five innings. The 26-year-old has looked much better at El Paso with a 2.95 ERA and 1.09 WHIP in 16 appearances.

Hernandez was scratched from his scheduled start Saturday for Triple-A New Orleans, potentially in preparation for him making a spot start for the Marlins on Tuesday against the Cardinals, Andre Fernandez of The Athletic reports.

The Marlins need someone to fill in for Caleb Smith (hip), and Hernandez appears to be a reasonable candidate. He's made just one relief appearance at the big-league level this season but owns an excellent 1.13 ERA in nine starts for New Orleans.

Wilson (elbow) expects to begin a rehab assignment Tuesday, Mike Mazzeo of Yahoo Sports reports.

Wilson has spent the bulk of the last two months on the injured list, making just one appearance before re-injuring his elbow. He may need at least a few rehab outings before returning to New York.

Nelson won't start again until June 15 in San Francisco, Robert Murray of The Athletic reports.

The Brewers have two off days next week, so they can afford to shift their rotation around, though a 10-day gap between starts is quite large. The team clearly wants to be very cautious with Nelson, who returned for his first major-league start in nearly 21 months Wednesday against the Marlins. His five runs allowed in three innings in that performance likely didn't make the Brewers too excited to see him return to the mound, but it looks like he'll be given some time to work his way back into his previous form.
