De Los Santos was optioned to Triple-A Lehigh Valley on Monday.

De Los Santos was up for just one spot start and failed to impress, allowing four runs in four innings Sunday against the Marlins. Fernando Salas' contract was selected in a corresponding move.

Hicks was diagnosed with a torn UCL in his right elbow Monday.

Hicks left Saturday's game against the Angels with what was originally referred to as triceps tendinitis, but an MRI revealed a more serious injury Monday. The Cardinals are determining their plan of action, but it's safe to assume that Tommy John surgery is a very likely outcome. The team may be considering non-surgical options for now as the procedure would likely keep Hicks out for all of 2020 whether he undergoes it now or in a few months. John Gant is the frontrunner to close in Hicks' absence.

Lamet (elbow) allowed a run on two hits and one walk while striking out eight over five innings in his rehab start Saturday with Triple-A El Paso.

Lamet pumped in only 44 of his 71 pitches for strikes, but didn't need to pepper the zone to find success in his second rehab start for El Paso and fifth overall. The right-hander appears on track to make one more appearance for El Paso before his 30-day rehab window closes, at which point he'll likely be reinstated from the 60-day injured list. The Padres haven't formally outlined their plans for Lamet, but he's likely ticketed for the big-league rotation after posting a 28.7 percent strikeout rate in 21 starts for the club in 2017 before undergoing Tommy John surgery last April.

Wilson is viewed as a candidate to receive a callup from Triple-A Gwinnett to start Thursday's game against the Cubs, David O'Brien of The Athletic reports.

The Braves haven't tipped their hand regarding who will replace the demoted Mike Foltynewicz in the rotation, but Wilson is the most logical replacement given that he would be available Thursday on regular rest. Wilson has helped his case for a promotion by dominating of late at Gwinnett, compiling a 2.49 ERA and 49:9 K:BB in 47 innings across his last eight starts. In addition to Wilson, reliever Touki Toussaint is another option to fill in for Foltynewicz.

Voth will remain in the Nationals' rotation for at least one more turn after the team optioned fifth starter Erick Fedde to Triple-A Fresno on Monday, Byron Kerr of MASN Sports reports.

Due to a doubleheader with the Phillies last week, the Nationals required a temporary sixth starter, with Voth getting the nod for Sunday's series finale versus the Braves. The right-hander aced his 2019 debut with the big club, limiting a tough offense to just two runs on four hits and no walks over six innings while striking out seven. With Fedde posting a 5.72 xFIP while allowing a .270 average to opponents across six starts this season, the Nationals will see if Voth can provide an upgrade at the back end of the rotation. As Mark Zuckerman of MASN Sports notes, Voth sported a fastball that consistently hit the 95-to-96 mile-per-hour range Sunday, with that velocity representing a fairly sizable increase from his average heater during his limited action with Washington in 2018 (91.4 mph, per Brooks Baseball). Voth might make for an intriguing streaming option in his next turn Saturday in Detroit.

Hicks (triceps) is scheduled to undergo an MRI on his right arm and elbow Monday, Derrick Goold of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports.

Officially diagnosed with right triceps tendinitis after the injury resulted in him being pulled from a save chance in Saturday's 4-2 win over the Angels, Hicks will be sent in for additional tests as the Cardinals look to determine the severity of the injury. Prior to Sunday's series finale, manager Mike Shildt said John Gant would act as the team's closer for the duration of Hicks' absence, though those plans may have changed after Gant yielded four runs in a non-save opportunity. Carlos Martinez and Andrew Miller would likely be next in line for save chances behind Gant in the event Hicks requires a stay on the IL, a distinct possibility with the Cardinals playing just five games this week.

Melancon (3-2) took the loss after allowing four baserunners and giving up the winning run over one-third of an inning in Sunday's 3-2 loss to the Diamondbacks.

Melancon recorded his lone out after giving up a leadoff single in the 10th inning, but two consecutive walks got the reliever into hot water. Tim Locastro eventually delivered the game-winning single, giving Melancon his second loss of the season. The 34-year-old has generally been effective as one of the Giants' setup men this year (3.16 ERA, 8.3 K/9), but he occasionally turns in a dud interspersed with outings that remind fantasy owners of his prime years. For now, Melancon is just a stash candidate for future saves in the event steady closer Will Smith is moved at the trade deadline.

Jansen (3-2) pitched a scoreless ninth inning to earn the win against Colorado on Sunday, allowing one hit and striking out two.

For the second straight game, Jansen entered in a non-save situation and held the Rockies scoreless. He picked up the win Sunday when Will Smith hit a walkoff three-run home run in the bottom of the ninth inning. Through 32.2 innings this season, Jansen has posted a 3.31 ERA, 0.92 WHIP and 44:7 K:BB while racking up 22 saves.

Yates blew his first save of the year Sunday against the Pirates, allowing three runs on three hits and a walk across one inning. He struck out two.

After the first batter he faced reached base thanks to a Manny Machado error, Yates allowed three consecutive hits -- a double and a pair of run-scoring singles -- before recording the first out of the inning. The right-hander proceeded to intentionally walk Josh Bell before yielding the game-tying run on an RBI groundout from Melky Cabrera. Yates got Colin Moran to fly out to escape the inning with the game tied, though the Padres would go on to lose the game in 11 innings. Despite the rough outing, Yates is 26-for-27 on save opportunities this season and owns a shiny 1.36 ERA, 0.91 WHIP and 54:9 K:BB through 33 innings, so his grasp on the ninth inning should remain firm.

Voth allowed two runs on four hits while striking out seven across six innings Sunday against the Braves. He didn't factor into the decision.

Voth served up a pair of solo homers to Josh Donaldson and Ronald Acuna, but otherwise the right-hander was dialed in during his 2019 big-league debut. He fired 57 of his 83 pitches for strikes and averaged 93.9 mph with his fastball, a step up from the 91.3 mph average during his time with the Nationals in 2018. Voth is expected to head to the minors despite the solid outing, though he'll remain an option to rejoin the big-league rotation should another opening arise.
