Beck was traded from the Braves to the Giants along with Daniel Winkler in exchange for Mark Melancon, Robert Murray of The Athletic reports.

Beck, a 23-year-old righty, was a fourth-round pick in 2018 and has logged a 5.65 ERA, 1.61 WHIP and 39 strikeouts in 36.2 innings at High-A. His 3.07 FIP and 2.93 xFIP suggest he has been pretty unlucky this year, but he is still old for that level and lacks a notably high ceiling.

Robertson (elbow) will require season-ending surgery to repair his injured flexor tendon, Meghan Montemurro of The Athletic reports.

Robertson is headed for a second opinion to determine the extent of the surgery; there's a possibility the veteran right-hander could need Tommy John surgery, which would put his status for the 2020 season in doubt. He's been sidelined since mid-April with a flexor strain.

Melancon was traded from the Giants to the Braves on Wednesday in exchange for Tristan Beck and Dan Winkler, Jeff Passan of ESPN.com reports.

Melancon is one of three relievers -- including Shane Green and Chris Martin (back) -- acquired by the Braves in the past two days as the team looks to shore up its bullpen for the stretch run. The veteran right-hander compiled a 3.50 ERA, 1.40 WHIP and 44:16 K:BB in 46.1 innings with the Giants. He figures to settle into a setup role with the Braves, with Greene likely to see the majority of save chances.

Shaw worked around a walk and struck out the other six batters he faced during two scoreless innings of relief in Tuesday's 9-4 loss to the Dodgers.

The lights-out showing came out of nowhere, as Shaw owned a modest a 17.9 K% on the season and yielded 10 runs in 5.2 innings over his last seven appearances heading into Tuesday. Thomas Harding of MLB.com suggests the outing could gin up trade interest in Shaw leading up to Wednesday's deadline, though Scott Oberg is probably the most alluring target among the Rockies' bullpen options that might be available.

Pomeranz was traded from the Giants to the Brewers on Wednesday along with Ray Black in exchange for Mauricio Dubon, Ken Rosenthal of The Athletic reports.

The Brewers continue to shore up their pitching, as Pomeranz and Black join Jake Faria, who was acquired from the Rays earlier in the day. The southpaw opened the season in San Francisco's starting rotation but moved to the bullpen after struggling to a 6.10 ERA in 17 appearances. Pomeranz has been lights out since moving to a relief role, firing 5.1 scoreless innings while striking out eight and allowing just one hit and one walk. Per Tom Haudricourt of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, the Brewers plan to use Pomeranz primarily as a reliever.

Hudson was traded from the Blue Jays to the Nationals on Wednesday in exchange for Kyle Johnston, Scott Mitchell of TSN.ca reports.

Hudson will help shore up the Nationals' bullpen -- which owns the worst ERA (5.97) in the majors -- as the team looks to hand onto a playoff spot. The veteran right-hander owns a solid 3.00 ERA, 1.27 WHIP and 48:23 K:BB in 48 innings this season and should assume a setup role with his new club.

Gallegos (3-1) was credited with the win over the Cubs on Tuesday, firing a scoreless inning in which he allowed a walk and recorded a strikeout.

Gallegos got through his outing with little trouble, extending what's been a prolonged stretch of strong pitching in the process. The right-hander now has scoreless efforts in 23 of his last 25 trips to the mound, which has lowered his ERA from 4.35 to 2.15. His consistency has naturally made him an increasingly trusted option out of the bullpen for manager Mike Shildt and has helped lead to a 2-1 record, 0.71 ERA and four holds in July alone.

Rodriguez will be recalled from Triple-A Sacramento to start Thursday against the Phillies, Alex Pavlovic of NBC Sports Bay Area reports.

The Giants opted to push rookie Shaun Anderson's next start back a day, opening up a spot in the rotation for Rodriguez, who owns a 4.99 ERA, 1.39 WHIP and 42:23 K:BB in 61.1 big-league innings this season (18 appearances, nine starts). The 27-year-old Rodriguez could stick in the big-league rotation beyond Thursday's start should the Giants opt to dish one of their other starting pitchers before Wednesday's trade deadline.

Floro (neck) was activated from the 10-day injured list Wednesday, Ken Gurnick of MLB.com reports.

Floro completed a bullpen session with no issues Monday, clearing the way for him to rejoin the Dodgers after spending a little more than the minimum 10 days sidelined. Prior to landing on the shelf, the right-hander posted a 4.11 ERA, 1.29 WHIP and 30:10 K:BB in 35 innings. Tony Gonsolin was optioned to the minors in a corresponding move.

Holmes (triceps) will throw simulated batting practice Friday, Rob Biertempfel of The Athletic reports.

Holmes landed on the injured list last Wednesday with right triceps inflammation. The fact that he's ready to resume throwing already suggests his stay on the shelf may not be an extended one. In 22 appearances prior to landing on the IL, Holmes posted a 6.54 ERA, 1.61 WHIP and 34:19 K:BB in 31.2 innings.
