Reyes has not yet participated in any of the Cardinals' summer camp workouts, Anne Rogers of MLB.com reports.

Rogers confirms Reyes flew into St. Louis from Florida and not on an MLB charter flight from the Dominican Republic that included Genesis Cabrera and Elehuris Montero, who both have tested positive for COVID-19. The Cardinals did not hold a workout Monday due to a delay in coronavirus test results, so it's unknown if Reyes would have been available had the team taken the field at Busch Stadium.

Ginkel arrived at the Diamondbacks' summer camp workouts on Monday, Nick Piecoro of The Arizona Republic reports.

Ginkel and David Peralta both made their first appearance at summer camp in time for Arizona's intrasquad game Monday. The 26-year-old pitcher is expected to serve as one of the primary setup men for closer Archie Bradley this season. During his rookie campaign in 2019, Ginkel recorded an impressive 1.48 ERA, 0.99 WHIP, and a 28:9 K:BB across 24.1 innings.

Nelson will undergo lumbar surgery Tuesday, J.P. Hoornstra of the Los Angeles Daily News reports.

The bad luck for Nelson continues, as he simply hasn't been able to stay healthy since his breakout season in 2017, when he cruised to a 3.49 ERA and a 27.3 percent strikeout rate before suffering a season-ending shoulder injury. That serious injury and subsequent surgery kept him out for all of 2018 and a portion of 2019 as well, with elbow issues then pitching in to limit him to just 22 innings. He can now add back issues to that increasingly long list of ailments. The procedure is expected to keep him out for the entirety of this season, so he'll have thrown just 22 major-league innings over a three-season stretch when he attempts to make his comeback in 2021. The Dodgers have a $2 million club option on Nelson for 2021 with a $500,000 buyout.

Manager Joe Girardi said Neris (undisclosed) was in attendance Sunday for the Phillies' training session at summer camp, though he wasn't participating, Matt Gelb of The Athletic reports.

The Phillies have yet to activate Neris from the COVID-19 injured list, but his presence at the team workout suggests he's at least passed some phases of the protocol to return to action. Assuming Neris remains asymptomatic and eventually tests negative twice for the coronavirus, he'll be eligible for activation, though it's uncertain if he'll be fully cleared in time for the start of the season. Neris is viewed as the Phillies' presumptive closer after he recorded 28 saves to go with a 2.93 ERA in 2019.

Betances faced seven batters in a simulated game Sunday and indicated that he feels healthy and ready to go ahead of the 60-game season, Anthony DiComo of MLB.com reports.

Betances had already been cleared for full activities back in the spring, but he looked fairly rusty at that time after a lat injury and a partially torn left Achilles' tendon limited him to just one big-league appearance in 2019. The right-hander indicated that baseball's three-plus-month hiatus allowed him to complete more rehab for the Achilles injury from April through June at Impact Zone in New Jersey, where he was able to throw live batting practice against several other MLB hitters. Manager Luis Rojas seemed similarly encouraged by how Betances looks early in summer camp, as he named the 32-year-old as a potential member of a closer committee that may also include Edwin Diaz, Jeurys Familia and Seth Lugo.

Manager Craig Counsell revealed Monday that Perdomo tested positive for COVID-19 prior to the start of the Brewers' summer camp last week, Adam McCalvy of MLB.com reports.

Perdomo is currently asymptomatic, but he'll need to self-isolate and pass two COVID-19 tests before he's allowed to join the team. Though he was one of only four players on Milwaukee's 40-man roster who wasn't included in the initial club's 60-man roster pool released June 29, Perdomo was expected to report to the Brewers' alternative training site for summer camp.

Yates (personal) will do his intake testing Monday or Tuesday, Kevin Acee of The San Diego Union-Tribune reports.

Yates was absent from the first several days of the Padres' camp while tending to a family matter that wasn't related to COVID-19, but he's expected to do his intake testing early in the week. If the tests come back negative, he could rejoin the team as early as Wednesday.

Bracho (elbow) has tested positive for COVID-19, Nick Piecoro of The Arizona Republic reports.

Bracho was already placed on the 60-day injured list Monday as he continues to recover from the Tommy John surgery he underwent in March of 2019. He suffered a setback in his recovery while play was suspended, so he might not be ready to play at any point in 2020. However, manager Torey Lovullo revealed Sunday that Bracho was one of three Diamondbacks to test positive for coronavirus, although he is asymptomatic.

Manager Dave Roberts said Sunday that Jansen hasn't reported to the Dodgers' camp yet, Ken Gurnick of MLB.com reports.

Roberts stated he isn't able to discuss why Jansen has yet to report to camp but said that he hopes to see him soon. It's unclear when the closer may report to camp or whether his absence will affect his availability for the start of the regular season. Jansen implied in late June that he didn't intend to opt out despite being considered a "high-risk" player.

Manager Luis Rojas declined to commit to Diaz as the team's closer Sunday and said, "I don't know yet. We'll get there at some point," Anthony DiComo of MLB.com reports.

Rojas brought up Diaz, Dellin Betances, Seth Lugo and Jeurys Familia as potential options for the ninth inning, and he also floated the possibility of utilizing a committee approach. Diaz should remain the favorite given his pedigree and what the team gave up to acquire him, but his 2019 struggles (5.59 ERA and 1.38 WHIP while blowing seven of 33 save chances) are unlikely to be forgotten quickly.
