Jose De Leon RP | BOS
Reds' Jose De Leon: Loses 40-man spot
The Reds designated De Leon for assignment Monday.
De Leon earned a spot on the Reds' Opening Day roster, but he stuck around with the big club for a little over a month before he was optioned to Triple-A Louisville after posting an 8.35 ERA across his 18.1 innings out of the bullpen. The 28-year-old right-hander was dominant over his last nine relief outings at Louisville (0.96 ERA, 0.75 WHIP, 14:3 K:BB in 9.1 innings), and that improved form coupled with his prospect pedigree could be enough for another organization to put in a waiver claim for him now that Cincinnati has dropped him from its 40-man roster.

Cionel Perez RP | NYM
Reds' Cionel Perez: Sent to Triple-A
Perez was optioned to Triple-A Louisville on Monday.
Perez had been in the big leagues since late June. He tossed 4.2 innings over that stretch, allowing one earned run while striking out nine batters. That lowered his season ERA to 6.95 over 22 frames.

Andres Machado RP | WAS
Nationals' Andres Machado: Sent to Triple-A
The Nationals optioned Machado to Triple-A Rochester on Monday.
Machado was sent to the minors over outfielder Andrew Stevenson, who sticks with the big club after Washington reduced its active roster to 26 men following Sunday's pseudo-doubleheader with San Diego. Following his July 11 call-up from Triple-A, Machado appeared in two games out of the bullpen and gave up three earned runs over 1.2 innings.

Jake Reed RP | LAD
Dodgers' Jake Reed: Sent to OKC
The Dodgers optioned Reed to Triple-A Oklahoma City on Monday.
Reed was dropped from the active roster to clear room in the bullpen for Victor Gonzalez (foot), who was reinstated from the 10-day injured list. During his two-week stint with the big club, Reed appeared in six games and gave up three runs (two earned) over 5.1 innings.

Victor Gonzalez RP | LAA
Dodgers' Victor Gonzalez: Returns from injury
The Dodgers reinstated Gonzalez (foot) from the 10-day injured list Monday.
Los Angeles optioned reliever Jake Reed to Triple-A Oklahoma City to open up a spot on the 26-man roster for Gonzalez, who missed two weeks with the left foot injury. Prior to being sidelined, Gonzalez had been serving as a key part of the bridge to closer Kenley Jansen. Over 36 appearances out of the Dodgers bullpen, Gonzalez has collected three wins, 16 holds and one save while posting a 2.57 ERA.

Emilio Pagan RP | CIN
Padres' Emilio Pagan: Knocked around by Nationals
Pagan was tagged with a blown save Sunday against Washington as a result of surrendering three runs on four hits over one inning. He struck out two.
Pagan took the mound in the bottom of the eighth inning with San Diego up by two runs. After striking out the first batter he faced, the right-handed hurler allowed three straight hits -- two of which left the yard -- as Washington reclaimed the lead. The outing marked the first time this season that Pagan has allowed more than two runs. He has a 3.72 ERA and 1.14 WHIP across 38.2 innings.

Kenley Jansen RP | DET
Dodgers' Kenley Jansen: Blows save Sunday
Jansen couldn't convert a save opportunity Sunday against Colorado. He gave up one run on two hits over one inning.
The veteran closer's first chance for a save in the second half of the season didn't go well, as Jansen yielded a double and a single to allow the tying run to cross the plate. The blown save was just his third of the campaign in 24 chances. Despite Sunday's disappointing outcome, Jansen is enjoying a resurgent season overall with a 1.45 ERA, 1.04 WHIP and 41:22 K:BB across 37.1 innings.

Giovanny Gallegos RP | LAD
Cardinals' Giovanny Gallegos: Dominant in Sunday's win
Gallegos secured his 15th hold in a win over the Giants on Sunday, striking out the side but also hitting a batter during a scoreless eighth inning.
The plunking of Wilmer Flores caused Gallegos to put in a little extra work, but the right-hander looked good doing it. Gallegos now has three straight scoreless appearances after an atypical stretch where he allowed five earned runs over three outings, and he's garnered a hold in three of his last four trips to the mound.

Alex Reyes RP | LAD
Cardinals' Alex Reyes: Picks up save No. 22
Reyes secured his 22nd save of the season with a scoreless ninth frame Sunday against the Giants. He didn't allow a hit but did walk two and was unable to strike anyone out.
Reyes walked Alex Dickerson and Steven Duggar to put the tying run in scoring position with one out but got the next two batters to fly out to end the game. In his first year as the team's primary closer, the 26-year-old has converted 22 straight saves without managing to blow a single one. Overall, he's converted all 24 save opportunities to begin his career, surpassing LaTroy Hawkins for the most consecutive saves to start a career. Reyes now owns a 1.45 ERA, 1.34 WHIP and 55:35 K:BB over 43.1 innings.

Genesis Cabrera RP | PHI
Cardinals' Genesis Cabrera: Picks up win
Cabrera (2-3) got the win over the Giants on Sunday after tossing a scoreless, hitless inning while walking a batter and striking out two.
Cabrera came in to begin the seventh and recorded two quick punchouts before walking Austin Slater. He got the next batter out and was awarded his first win since May 22 after the Cardinals took the lead in the bottom half of the inning. The 24-year-old has now put together three straight scoreless outings and has a win and a hold over that span after a rough stretch to begin the month. Overall, he owns a 3.80 ERA, 1.38 WHIP and 50:25 K:BB over 42.2 innings this year.
