Kenley Jansen RP | DET
Braves' Kenley Jansen: Earns first save of season
Jansen recorded his first save of the season Friday against the Padres after tossing a scoreless inning with two strikeouts.
The veteran hurler endured a shaky debut with the Braves when he gave up three runs on three hits and a walk (with one strikeout) across one inning against the Reds on April 8, but he has bounced back and posted back-to-back scoreless outings since then. He's not going to be the dominant closer he was during his prime years with the Dodgers, but his job security is among the highest in the league.

Rockies' Daniel Bard: Earns save Friday
Bard recorded the save Friday against the Cubs despite giving up one run on two hits across one inning. He struck out one and tossed a wild pitch.
Bard gave up an RBI double to Patrick Wisdom and had a runner on third with two outs, but he closed things out when Michael Hermosillo popped out to second base. Bard has earned three saves in four chances and has given up runs in two of his four outings to date.

Ty Blach RP | CHC
Rockies' Ty Blach: Earns win in relief Friday
Blach (1-0) earned the win in relief Friday against the Cubs after tossing 1.2 scoreless innings, giving up one walk and striking out one.
Blach entered the game with one out and the bases loaded in the fifth inning, replacing German Marquez, and while he allowed a sac fly to Jonathan Villar, Blach eventually got the job done when Clint Frazier flied out to center. The sixth inning was far more comfortable and he retired the side in order. In the end, Blach needed just 21 pitches to record five outs and claimed his first win of the campaign. Through two appearances, he has one win, one save and 5:2 K:BB through 5.2 innings.

Craig Kimbrel RP | TB
Dodgers' Craig Kimbrel: Secures second save
Kimbrel saved Friday's 3-1 win over the Reds, pitching a perfect ninth inning with no strikeouts.
Making just his second appearance, Kimbrel made quick work of the bottom of Cincinnati's order in securing his second save. This outing went much smoother than his first last Friday, and he remains the best bet for save opportunities on the Dodgers.

The 24-year-old is sporting a 5.06 ERA with a 5:2 K:BB.

Brewers' Brent Suter: Exits after collision with railing
Suter left Friday's game against the Cardinals after colliding with the dugout railing, Sophia Minnaert of Bally Sports Wisconsin reports.
Suter lobbied with his manager and training staff to stay in, which could indicate that he wasn't hurt all that badly, but the Brewers elected to take no chances with the team down nine runs. The exact nature of his injury and whether or not he'll need a trip to the injured list are not yet clear.

Keegan Thompson RP | COL
Cubs' Keegan Thompson: Suspension reduced
Thompson's suspension has been reduced from three to two games, Jordan Bastian of MLB.com reports.
Thompson's punishment won't have much of an impact on his availability since he threw 45 pitches in Thursday's series opener in Colorado and will begin serving the suspension Friday. The right-hander has struck out five in six scoreless frames to begin the year, and he'll be eligible to rejoin the Cubs' bullpen for Sunday's game against the Rockies.
