  • Dodgers' Craig Kimbrel: Records third save

Kimbrel picked up a save against the Braves on Monday, hurling a scoreless inning during which he struck out one.

Kimbrel struck out Alex Dickerson to start the frame, but a passed ball allowed Dickerson to reach base. That didn't phase Kimbrel much, as he induced a double play before getting Ozzie Albies to ground out to end the game. The right-hander has secured a save in each of his three appearances this season and has allowed only one run over three innings thus far.

  • Taylor Rogers RP | MIN

Padres' Taylor Rogers: Picks up another save

Rogers earned a save against the Reds on Monday, tossing a scoreless ninth inning during which he issued one walk and didn't strike out any batters.

Rogers had a three-run lead to work with upon his entrance, and he worked around a two-out walk to nail down the save. The southpaw leads the National League in that category with five on the season, and he has yet to give up a run across five appearances. Rogers' standout start with San Diego has made him the unquestioned closer at this point in the campaign.

  • Sean Manaea RP | NYM

Padres' Sean Manaea: Impresses again in win

Manaea (2-1) earned the win over Cincinnati on Monday, hurling six innings during which he gave up one run on six hits and two walks while striking out six.

Manaea walked two hitters but was very efficient in getting the ball over the plate, recording first-pitch strikes to 21 of 26 batters and throwing just 18 balls across 78 pitches. The southpaw registered his third straight quality start --- the most in the league -- to begin the campaign after recording 15 such efforts across 32 starts last season. Manaea is off to a blazing beginning with the Padres, posting a 1.42 ERA, 19:5 K:BB and 2-1 record over three starts. His next appearance is expected to be a tough home matchup against the Dodgers on Sunday.

  • Alex Colome RP | CHW

Rockies' Alex Colome: Notches first save

Colome walked one batter in a scoreless ninth inning and earned a save over the Phillies on Monday.

After blowing a save chance in his first 2022 appearance, Colome notched his first save of the year Monday. He issued a two-out walk to Rhys Hoskins but had no trouble finishing off the 4-1 victory. Colome is now sporting a 2.45 ERA through 3.2 innings this season.

  • Rockies' Lucas Gilbreath: Ready for 2022 debut

Gilbreath (illness) was activated from the injured list Monday, Nick Groke of The Athletic reports.

Gilbreath began the year on the COVID-19 injured list, but he's since been activated after making a rehab appearance for the Triple-A Isotopes on Sunday. He issued a walk and struck out one in a scoreless frame against Tacoma.

  • Rockies' Robert Stephenson: Returns to big leagues

Stephenson (illness) was activated from the injured list Monday, Nick Groke of The Athletic reports.

Stephenson was previously placed on the COVID-19 injured list prior to Opening Day, but he has since been activated after making a rehab appearance for the Triple-A Isotopes on Sunday, tossing a perfect frame. He'll now set his sights on returning to his 2021 form after finishing with a 3.13 ERA and 1.30 WHIP with a 52:18 K:BB across 46 innings last campaign.

  • Cubs' David Robertson: Secures fourth save

Robertson worked around a walk to pitch a scoreless ninth inning and earn the save in Monday's win over the Rays. He struck out one.

Robertson has been brilliant to begin the season, as he's now logged five scoreless innings to go along with four saves. The veteran entered camp seemingly behind Rowan Wick in the Chicago bullpen, but to this point, Robertson has been the clear-cut top option to close games. Mychal Givens has one save, and no one else on the roster has any through 10 contests.

  • Austin Adams RP | BOS

Padres' Austin Adams: Shut down six weeks

Adams (forearm) will be shut down for at least six weeks, AJ Cassavell of MLB.com reports.

Adams hit the injured list Wednesday with a forearm strain, which was originally reported to be mild. After receiving a second opinion, he'll receive a PRP injection and will avoid throwing for at least six weeks. He'll still have to ramp back up at that point, so a move to the 60-day injured list would come as no surprise.

  • Trevor May RP | ATH

Mets' Trevor May: Shakes off triceps injury

May (triceps) worked around a hit and struck out a batter in a scoreless inning Saturday in the Mets' 3-2 loss to the Diamondbacks.

May was diagnosed with a minor right triceps strain coming out of his second relief appearance of the season last Monday in Philadelphia, but he was out of commission for only a few days before the Mets made him available out of the bullpen. The right-hander's clean outing Saturday suggests that manager Buck Showalter won't have much hesitation about using him in a setup role moving forward.

  • Jake Cousins RP | LAD

Brewers' Jake Cousins: Picks up win in relief

Cousins (2-0) earned the win in relief Sunday against St. Louis after tossing a scoreless inning, allowing one hit and fanning one.

Cousins bounced back from Saturday's outing in which he allowed one run and two hits over one inning against St. Louis, and now he clinched his second win of the season. He's looked effective so far and has posted three scoreless outings over his last four relief appearances while pitching to a 3.60 ERA over 5.0 innings to date.
