Drey Jameson RP | ARI
Diamondbacks' Drey Jameson: Elevated to Triple-A
The Diamondbacks promoted Jameson from Double-A Amarillo to Triple-A Reno on Thursday, Zach Buchanan of The Athletic reports.
Jameson quickly course corrected after a rough season debut April 8 against Midland, as he permitted just one run while striking out 20 over his last 17 innings spanning three starts. The string of strong outings will allow Jameson to move up a rung on the minor-league ladder to put him on the doorstep for his MLB debut. The 8-11 Diamondbacks likely don't fancy themselves as contenders, and that fact coupled with Jameson's status as a non-40-man roster player means that he may have to dominate at Reno to earn a call-up to the majors in the second half of the 2022 campaign.

Jordan Hicks RP | CHW
Cardinals' Jordan Hicks: Expected to start Sunday
Hicks (wrist) is listed as the starter for Sunday's game against Arizona, Jeff Jones of the Belleville News-Democrat reports.
Hicks exited his previous start Tuesday against the Mets after taking a comebacker off his right wrist. He hasn't been diagnosed with anything worse than a bruise and appears set to avoid missing a start. He's unlikely to pitch deep into Sunday's contest, as he's topped out at three innings this season.

Sam Long RP | KC
Giants' Sam Long: Yields lone run in loss
Long (0-1) took the loss Wednesday versus the Athletics, allowing one run on one hit with a strikeout in one inning.
Long was the opener Wednesday, and he allowed a leadoff home run to Chad Pinder. That ended up being the game's lone run, with the Giants mustering just three hits in the contest. This was the first time Long's given up a run this season -- he owns a 1.35 ERA, 0.75 WHIP and 6:1 K:BB while making three of his six appearances as an opener. He isn't likely to be needed in that role this weekend versus the Nationals, so Long's next appearance should be expected to be in relief.

Daniel Castano RP | MIA
Marlins' Daniel Castano: Sent to minors
The Marlins optioned Castano to Triple-A Jacksonville on Thursday, Byron Kerr of MLB.com reports.
After being called up from Triple-A on April 20, Castano didn't make any appearances out of the Miami bullpen. The Marlins will swap Castano off the 28-man active roster in favor of Zach Pop, who received his first call-up of the season from Jacksonville.

Zach Pop RP | PHI
Marlins' Zach Pop: Joins big club
The Marlins recalled Pop from Triple-A Jacksonville on Thursday, Byron Kerr of MLB.com reports.
He'll enter the bullpen as a replacement for lefty Daniel Castano, who was optioned to Triple-A in a corresponding move. The promotion to the big leagues is the first of the season for Pop, who turned in a 4.12 ERA, 1.43 WHIP and 51:24 K:BB across 54.2 innings in his 50 appearances for the Marlins as a rookie last year.

Austin Adams RP | BOS
Padres' Austin Adams: Shifts to 60-day IL
The Padres transferred Adams (forearm) from the 10-day injured list to the 60-day injured list Thursday.
Adams was already expected to be shut down for at least six weeks after getting a platelet-rich plasma injection just over two weeks ago to relieve pain in his strained right forearm, but the move to the 60-day IL ensures he'll be on the shelf for at least two months. By moving Adams to the 60-day IL, the Padres freed up a spot on the 40-man roster for outfielder Trayce Thompson, whose contract was selected from Triple-A El Paso ahead of Thursday's series finale with the Reds.

Brad Boxberger RP | CHC
Brewers' Brad Boxberger: Another scoreless appearance
Boxberger tossed a scoreless seventh inning and picked up his fifth hold of the season in Wednesday's victory over the Pirates.
Boxberger, like he did last season, is operating directly in front of setup man Devin Williams and closer Josh Hader, and he has been stout thus far, giving up no runs and allowing just five runners to reach base in 7.1 innings over eight appearances.

Mark Leiter RP | ATH
Cubs' Mark Leiter: Short outing Wednesday
Leiter didn't factor into the decision in Wednesday's 6-3 extra-inning win over Atlanta, giving up two hits and a walk over two scoreless innings. He didn't strike out a batter.
The 31-year-old righty needed 45 pitches (26 strikes) to get his six outs before making way for Keegan Thompson. It was Leiter's shortest outing yet in three starts since being plugged into the Cubs' rotation, but he even his longest outing was only four innings. His 8.68 ERA, 1.82 WHIP and 7:7 K:BB through 9.1 IP give fantasy managers little reason to roster him.

Trevor Gott RP | WAS
Brewers' Trevor Gott: Grabs first win
Gott picked up his first win of the season in Wednesday's victory over the Pirates.
Gott faced only one batter Wednesday, but he was the pitcher of record when the Brewers took the lead in the top of the seventh inning, and he wound up with the win after his fellow relievers blanked the Pirates the rest of the way. Gott gave up his first runs of the season earlier in the week, but he still owns a 2.45 ERA, 0.82 WHIP and 10:0 K:BB in 7.1 innings over seven appearances.

Wil Crowe RP | PIT
Pirates' Wil Crowe: Falters Wednesday
Crowe (1-1) allowed two runs (one earned) on three hits and no walks while striking out one to take the loss Wednesday against the Brewers.
Crowe entered the game in the seventh inning and immediately got into trouble by surrendering singles to the first two batters he faced. It appeared that he induced a potential double-play ball from the next batter, but Yoshi Tsutsugo failed to field the grounder cleanly. That allowed a run to score and the rally to continue. Prior to this appearance, Crowe had not allowed an earned run across his first 13.1 innings. Even after a bit of a struggle Wednesday, he still owns a 0.63 ERA and 0.98 WHIP with a 17:4 K:BB across 14.1 frames.
