Dauri Moreta RP | PIT
Reds' Dauri Moreta: Recalled Thursday
Moreta was recalled from Triple-A Louisville on Thursday.
Moreta was sent down by the Reds in early August, and he's posted a 6.00 ERA and 1.67 WHIP in six innings over six relief appearances in the minors following his demotion. However, he'll rejoin the major-league bullpen after T.J. Zeuch (back) was placed on the 15-day injured list Thursday.

Robert Stephenson RP | LAA
Rockies' Robert Stephenson: Pushed off roster
The Rockies designated Stephenson for assignment Thursday.
The transaction clears a spot on the 26-man active roster for right-hander Chad Kuhl (hip), who was activated from the 15-day injured list with the expectation that he'll rejoin the rotation during this weekend's series with the Mets. Stephenson delivered underwhelming numbers while mostly working in a middle-relief role for the Rockies this season, producing a 6.04 ERA and 1.48 WHIP over 44.2 innings.

David Robertson RP | PHI
Phillies' David Robertson: Earns 24th save
Robertson picked up the save Wednesday against Cincinnati, allowing one walk while striking out one over one scoreless inning.
Robertson has been great since being dealt to Philadelphia, sporting a 1.83 ERA and 1.03 WHIP over 9.2 innings in nine outings. The righty has allowed zero runs in eight of those nine outings and has recorded the save in four of his last five opportunities. The 37-year-old's only blemish in his time with the Phillies was a blown save against the Mets in which he allowed two runs in 0.2 innings.

Joe Mantiply RP | TOR
Diamondbacks' Joe Mantiply: Can't keep game close
Mantiply did not retire a batter and gave up three runs on three hits in Wednesday's 5-3 loss to Kansas City.
Mantiply entered a tied game with a runner on first and let the game get away, allowing two singles and a three-run home run. He's pitched effectively when starting a clean inning, but he has allowed 10 of 24 inherited runners to score (42 percent) this year. One might think the left-hander would be better at preventing inherited runners from scoring, given Mantiply sports a 2.66 ERA, rarely issues walks (0.7 BB/9), keeps the ball in the park (0.7 HR/9) and does a good job stranding his own runners (76.6%).

Kyle Finnegan RP | DET
Nationals' Kyle Finnegan: Collects fifth win
Finnegan (5-2) picked up the win in Wednesday's 3-1 victory over the Mariners, giving up a hit and a walk over 1.1 scoreless innings of relief. He struck out one.
Entering a 1-1 game with two outs in the eighth inning, the right-hander got Mitch Haniger to fly out to end the frame then reaped the rewards as the Nationals scored twice in the top of the ninth. Finnegan has a win or a save in six of his last seven appearances, and Washington's closer now sports a 3.18 ERA and 52:18 K:BB through 51 innings on the year.

Tommy Kahnle RP | BOS
Dodgers' Tommy Kahnle: Begins rehab assignment
Kahnle (forearm) reported to Triple-A Oklahoma City to start a rehab assignment Wednesday, Matthew Moreno of DodgerBlue.com reports.
Kahnle missed the start of the season while completing his rehab from Tommy John surgery and made only four appearances for the Dodgers in May before suffering a forearm strain, but he's now been cleared for game action in the minors. Manager Dave Roberts said a roster decision on the 33-year-old could come in about two weeks.

Cory Abbott RP | SEA
Nationals' Cory Abbott: Sent to minors
Abbott was optioned to Triple-A Rochester after Wednesday's 3-1 win over the Mariners, Jesse Dougherty of The Washington Post reports.
The 26-year-old was shifted from the rotation to the bullpen over the weekend and fired two scoreless frames Tuesday against the Mariners, but he's now headed back to Triple-A. Abbott was demoted to make room on the big-league roster for prospect Cade Cavalli, who is scheduled to make his MLB debut Friday versus the Reds.

Ryan Helsley RP | BAL
Cardinals' Ryan Helsley: Could return Friday
Cardinals manager Oliver Marmol said Helsley (personal) is likely to rejoin the team for Friday's game against Atlanta, John Denton of MLB.com reports.
The right-hander was placed on the paternity list last Friday and was transferred to the restricted list Monday in order to spend additional time with his wife and newborn child. Helsley isn't expected to rejoin the team for Thursday's series finale versus the Cubs in Chicago, but he should be back for Friday's home matchup with Atlanta.

Jake Cousins RP | LAD
Brewers' Jake Cousins: Reinstated, sent down Wednesday
Cousins (elbow) was reinstated from the 60-day injured list and optioned to Triple-A Nashville on Wednesday.
Cousins was sidelined since the end of April, but he began a rehab assignment in late July and recorded a 2.70 ERA and 1.10 WHIP in 10 innings over 10 minor-league appearances. The 28-year-old will remain in the minors now that he's back to full health.

Jean-Carlos Mejia RP | MIL
Brewers' J.C. Mejia: Outrighted to Triple-A
Mejia was outrighted to Triple-A Nashville on Wednesday.
Mejia was optioned to Nashville after being reinstated from his suspension last week, and he'll now lose his spot on the Brewers' 40-man roster. Over six minor-league appearances since the start of August, he's allowed three runs on three hits and no walks while striking out four in 5.2 innings.
