  • Red Sox's Hobie Harris: Debuts for Worcester

Harris (forearm) struck out a batter and allowed two runs on three hits and one walk Friday for Triple-A Worcester after being reinstated from the 60-day injured list. Harris got off to a delayed start to the 2026 campaign after being placed on Worcester's 60-day IL in March due to forearm tightness. He's since put the injury behind him, as he was cleared to debut for Worcester coming out of the All-Star break after making three rehab appearances in the rookie-level Florida Complex League.

  • Red Sox's Hobie Harris: Shut down with forearm tightness

Red Sox manager Alex Cora said Monday that Harris has been shut down due to forearm tightness, Mac Cerullo of the Boston Herald reports. It's unclear when the injury first cropped up, but it effectively ends Harris' long shot bid for a spot on Boston's Opening Day roster. The right-hander held a 4.15 ERA and 43:21 K:BB across 39.0 innings with Triple-A Worcester in 2025.

  • Red Sox's Hobie Harris: Re-ups with Red Sox

Harris agreed to a minor-league contract with Boston on Monday, independent journalist Ari Alexander reports. The contract includes an invitation to major-league spring training. Harris spent his 2025 campaign stationed at Triple-A Worcester, compiling a 4.15 ERA and 1.54 WHIP with a 43:21 K:BB across 39.0 innings. He'll get a chance to compete against big-league talent during spring camp but hasn't made a major-league appearance since the 2023 season while with Washington.

  • Mets' Hobie Harris: Joining Mets on minors deal

Harris signed a minor-league contract with the Mets on Thursday, Anthony DiComo of MLB.com reports. Harris spent the entire 2024 campaign with the Twins' Triple-A affiliate, where he logged a 6.41 ERA and 1.83 WHIP over 53.1 innings. The 31-year-old reliever will now add to the bullpen depth at Triple-A Syracuse, but his chances of making an impact with the Mets in 2025 are slim.

  • Twins' Hobie Harris: Latches on with Twins

Harris signed a minor-league contract with the Twins on Friday. Harris elected to enter free agency after being outrighted to Triple-A by the Nationals earlier in the offseason. The 30-year-old righty made his MLB debut last season, posting a 5.12 ERA and 1.76 WHIP through 19.1 frames, and he'll serve as organizational bullpen depth for the Twins.

  • Nationals' Hobie Harris: Outrighted to Triple-A

Harris cleared waivers and was sent outright to Triple-A Rochester on Wednesday, Mark Zuckerman of MASNSports.com reports. Harris appeared in 16 games for the Nationals in 2023, posting a 5.12 ERA and 1.76 WHIP through 19.1 frames. He put up similar numbers during his time in Triple-A (5.57 ERA, 1.90 WHIP) and is set to become a minor-league free agent following the World Series.

  • Nationals' Hobie Harris: Sent back to minors

The Nationals optioned Harris to Triple-A Rochester on Wednesday, Bobby Blanco of MASNSports.com reports. He'll turn over his spot on the 26-man active roster and in the Washington bullpen to left-hander Robert Garcia, whom the Nationals claimed off waivers from the Marlins on Tuesday. Harris was called up from Rochester on Monday and tossed a scoreless inning in relief during his two-day stay with the big club.

  • Nationals' Hobie Harris: Making return to majors

The Nationals recalled Harris from Triple-A Rochester on Monday, Bobby Blanco of MASNSports.com reports. Harris could be in line for a temporary stay with the big club, as he was called up as a replacement on the 26-man active roster for Trevor Williams (personal), who was placed on the bereavement list. Williams is expected to return from bereavement leave before his next turn in the rotation comes up this weekend in Cincinnati, so expect the Nationals to demote a reliever to Triple-A to make room for him at that time. Harris won a spot in Washington's Opening Day bullpen but was sent to Triple-A on May 20 after recording a 5.40 ERA and 1.80 WHIP across 18.1 innings.
