The Phillies claimed Urquidy off waivers from the White Sox on Thursday, Todd Zolecki of MLB.com reports.

Urquidy was DFA'd by the White Sox on Tuesday after turning in a 4.37 ERA and 1.19 WHIP across 22.2 innings with the team. He won't be eligible to pitch in the postseason now that he's with the Phillies, but he could still make a handful of appearances with the big club during its final 10 regular-season games. Caleb Kilian (oblique) was transferred to the 60-day IL in a corresponding move.

Dodgers manager Dave Roberts said Thursday that Diaz (neck) will be activated from the 15-day injured list Friday, Jack Harris of the California Post reports.

Per David Vassegh of AM 570 LA Sports, Roberts added that Diaz will be used in "low-leverage" situations intially and will have to earn more high-profile assignments. Diaz has been sidelined since mid-August with neck inflammation and posted a 12.46 ERA in five rehab outings, though he did log a scoreless appearance Wednesday with Triple-A Oklahoma City.

The Dodgers recalled Knack from Triple-A Oklahoma City on Thursday.

Knack has allowed five earned runs in just 7.2 frames with the big club this season but has logged a 2.08 ERA and 33:11 K:BB over 34.2 innings with OKC. The right-hander will provide manager Dave Roberts with a fresh bullpen arm.

The Dodgers optioned Miller to Triple-A Oklahoma City on Thursday.

Miller logged 2.1 innings out of the bullpen in Wednesday's loss to the Reds, allowing a pair of runs. He's being replaced on the roster by Landon Knack, who will give the Dodgers a fresh relief arm.

Franco (forearm) retired two batters and yielded four earned runs on three hits and one walk in a start for Triple-A Louisville after being reinstated from the 7-day injured list Friday.

Cleared to return to Louisville after making one rehab appearance at High-A Dayton, Franco turned in a rough performance in his first outing with the Triple-A club since July 22. For the season, Franco owns a 4.31 ERA, 1.35 WHIP and 54:30 K:BB in 56.1 innings over 15 appearances (nine starts) with Louisville.

The Brewers activated Zastryzny (shoulder) from the 60-day injured list Thursday and designated him for assignment, Todd Rosiak of the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel reports.

Zastryzny has not pitched in the majors this season, having been limited to 13 rehab appearances across multiple stints as he dealt with intercostal and shoulder injuries. The lefty finally appears to be healthy now, but the Brewers decided they didn't have room for him on their active roster.

Curry (0-1) took the loss Wednesday against the Orioles, allowing six runs on six hits and one walk over three innings. He struck out three.

Curry was taken deep by Pete Alonso, Jeremiah Jackson, Christian Encarnacion-Strand and Samuel Basallo to account for all of the runs against him. It was the first start of the season for the right-hander, who worked out of the bullpen in his eight prior big-league appearances this year and had a respectable 3.44 ERA over 18.1 innings. Curry is likely to shift to the bullpen or potentially be sent back to Triple-A Syracuse after the spot start.

Dotel will serve as the Pirates' opening pitcher for Thursday's game against the Brewers, Danny Demilio of PittsburghBaseballNow.com reports.

Dotel will be making his second start of the season, but he's likely to be in line for a limited workload. He retired two batters out of the bullpen just two days earlier and hasn't covered more than three innings in any appearance in the majors or minors since May 10. Khristian Curtis will be available on six days' rest to pitch out of the bullpen and could be called upon to cover multiple frames once Dotel exits the contest.

The Dodgers will option Miller to Triple-A Oklahoma City on Thursday, Fabian Ardaya of The Athletic reports.

Miller gave up two earned runs in 2.1 innings during Wednesday's loss to the Reds and is now set to return to Triple-A to make room for Landon Knack, who will come up to pitch in Thursday's contest. Miller has allowed three earned runs in 5.1 innings with the Dodgers this year and will finish the season in the minors, barring an injury to one of Los Angeles' pitchers.

Megill earned the save in Wednesday's 5-4 win over the Pirates, striking out two in a perfect ninth inning.

Megill made quick work of the Pirates on Wednesday, needing just eight pitches to close out a one-run victory and lock down his 28th save this year. It was certainly an encouraging showing from Megill, who had been a bit shaky of late, allowing three runs on six hits across 2.1 frames in his previous three appearances. Overall, the right-hander sports a 2.50 ERA with a 0.90 WHIP and 65:15 K:BB across 57.2 innings this season.
