Kuhnel (shoulder) is slated to throw a bullpen session Tuesday, Jack Stern of BrewerFanatic.com reports.

Kuhnel has missed the past two-plus weeks with right rotator cuff tendinopathy but is ready to test out the injury with some mound work. Though he's eligible for activation now, Kuhnel could require a rehab assignment before return to the active roster.

Cornelio (1-1) picked up the win Monday, walking two batters over 1.2 no-hit, scoreless relief innings in a victory over the Rockies. He didn't record a strikeout.

It was the 26-year-old's first career win in his eighth appearance. Control continues to elude Cornelio for the most part, as he has a 17:15 K:BB through 16.1 innings with a 6.06 ERA and 1.90 WHIP, and he'll remain in a low-leverage role as long as that continues.

Mikolas will be deployed as a bulk reliever in Tuesday's game versus the Rockies, Mark Zuckerman of NatsJournal.com reports.

Back in action after serving a five-game suspension, Mikolas will make his 13th appearance of the season out of the bullpen while pitching behind opener Carson Palmquist. Mikolas went four scoreless innings in bulk relief his last time out against the Yankees on July 11 and has fared much better this season in that role (3.51 ERA) than he has as a traditional starter (8.53 ERA).

Devenski (illness) was sent to the rookie-level Florida Complex League on Tuesday to begin a rehab assignment.

Devenski has been sidelined since early May due to an undisclosed illness, but he's finally been cleared to participate in games. Given the length of his absence, the veteran reliever will likely require a handful of rehab outings before rejoining the Pirates' active roster.

O'Brien (3-4) allowed two runs on two hits, one walk and two hit batsmen while striking out one over one-third of an inning to take the loss and a blown save in Monday's 3-2 loss to the Angels.

O'Brien simply didn't have it Monday, throwing just eight of 21 pitches for strikes. The second plunking ended the game, as he hit Jo Adell with the bases loaded after intentionally walking Josh Lowe. O'Brien is now 25-for-30 in save chances this season while pitching to a 3.76 ERA, 1.20 WHIP and 41:15 K:BB through 40.2 innings. Prior to Monday, he had posted an eight-inning scoreless streak, and he hadn't blown a save since May 19 versus the Pirates.

Cosgrove picked up the save Monday against Colorado. He did not record a strikeout over two perfect innings.

Cosgrove entered with a three-run cushion in the eighth inning and fired off two perfect frames for his first save of the season, with Washington pushing its lead to four runs in the ninth.Since having his contract selected July 10, the southpaw has logged 4.2 scoreless innings with a 4:1 K:BB across four appearances. In a shaky Nationals bullpen, Cosgrove could continue to earn high-leverage opportunities if he maintains this strong form.

Thornton was removed from Monday's game against the Tigers after being struck on the left foot by a comebacker, Mike McGraw of the Chicago Daily Herald reports.

Thornton was deployed in the top of the 10th inning, but the first batter of the frame drilled the right-hander with a comebacker, forcing Thornton to exit the matchup. The 32-year-old was able to put some weight on his foot as he walked off the field and will likely be sent for further evaluation.

Mederos secured his first career save Monday against San Diego, allowing one hit and one walk in 2.1 scoreless innings. He struck out one.

Closer Raisel Iglesias had worked each of the past two days for Atlanta, so manager Walt Weiss stuck with Mederos to protect a 3-2 lead and gave his usual high-leverage arms the night off. The 25-year-old right-hander has almost exclusively handled low-leverage work in 2026 and shouldn't be expected to see save chances in the future, though he does hold an excellent 0.96 ERA, 0.75 WHIP and 7:2 K:BB over 9.1 innings.

Pivetta (forearm) will throw a live batting practice session this week, Annie Heilbrunn of The San Diego Union-Tribune reports.

It's a big step for Pivetta, who will face hitters for the first time since going down with a right flexor strain in mid-April. The veteran right-hander could be ready for rehab assignment if his live BP goes well, but he will require several rehab starts to get built back up before rejoining the Padres' rotation.

Dodgers manager Dave Roberts on Monday did not rule out Diaz (elbow) being activated from the 60-day injured list during this weekend's series against the Mets, David Vassegh of AM 570 LA Sports reports.

Diaz underwent surgery in late April to remove loose bodies in his right elbow. He's made four rehab appearances, facing just one over the minimum while logging a 7:1 K:BB over four innings. Diaz has not yet appeared in back-to-back games on his rehab assignment, and the Dodgers likely want him to check that box before he's reinstated. The 32-year-old Diaz is a safe bet to get his closer job back, but the Dodgers could have him make a lower-leverage appearance or two first.
