  • Derek Law RP | ARI

Reds' Derek Law: Moves rehab to Triple-A

Law (elbow) had his rehab assignment transferred Wednesday to Triple-A Louisville.

Law is one step away from returning to the Reds' bullpen following what has already been a five-week absence for a right elbow flexor mass strain. He had pitched to a 2.57 ERA in 21 innings for the Reds prior to the IL stint and worked a perfect rehab frame on 14 pitches this past Sunday at High-A Dayton.

  • Randy Wynne RP | CIN

Reds' Randy Wynne: Sent outright to Triple-A

Cincinnati outrighted Wynne to Triple-A Louisville on Wednesday.

Wynne passed through waivers unclaimed after being designated for assignment by the Reds on Monday. He made his MLB debut at age 30 this past Sunday versus Atlanta and surrendered one earned run on three hits and one walk over 2.1 innings of relief.

  • Silvino Bracho RP | CIN

Reds' Silvino Bracho: Outrighted to Triple-A

Cincinnati outrighted Bracho to Triple-A Louisville on Wednesday.

Bracho was designated for assignment by the Reds on Sunday and passed through waivers unclaimed. The 30-year-old righty will remain with the organization for now. He holds a career 4.80 ERA in 101.1 major-league innings.

  • Jeff Brigham RP | CHC

Mets' Jeff Brigham: June struggles continue

Brigham gave up two runs on two hits and two walks in two-thirds of an inning during Tuesday's win over the Brewers. He struck out one.

The right-hander spoiled a possible combined shutout for the Mets with a shaky eighth inning that saw him throw only 14 of 29 pitches for strikes. Brigham has struggled overall in June, posting a 6.52 ERA, 1.45 WHIP and 9:7 K:BB through 9.2 innings while working mainly in low-leverage spots -- his last hold was recorded June 1.

  • Jordan Weems RP | LAD

Nationals' Jordan Weems: Collects first career win

Weems (1-0) walked two and struck out three over two scoreless, no-hit innings of relief Tuesday to pick up the win in an extra-innings victory over the Mariners.

The one-time catcher converted to pitching in 2016 and made his big-league in the Oakland bullpen in 2020, but it wasn't until Tuesday he was able to notch his first big-league win. Weems appears to have figured things out in the Washington system, and since his promotion in early June he has a 2.25 ERA, 0.67 WHIP and 11:4 K:BB through 12 innings. The 30-year-old right-hander isn't likely to claim a high-leverage role, however, even if the Nats ship out relievers like Kyle Finnegan before the trade deadline.

  • Alexis Diaz RP | TEX

Reds' Alexis Diaz: Locks down 22nd save

Diaz picked up the save Tuesday against Baltimore. He allowed one walk while logging a strikeout in a scoreless inning.

Diaz is now a perfect 22-for-22 in save chances this year, putting him fourth in the league. The 26-year-old right-hander has been dominant, pitching to a 1.85 ERA with a 1.00 WHIP and 57:19 K:BB through 34 innings. With Cincinnati surging, Diaz should remain a high-end closing option for fantasy purposes.

  • Braves' Dereck Rodriguez: Sent to Triple-A

Rodriguez was optioned to Triple-A Gwinnett on Wednesday.

He did not get into a game this time around with the big club after getting recalled Monday. Rodriguez has allowed one run while striking out one and walking two in 2.2 innings across two appearances with the big club this season.

  • Jordan Hicks RP | CHW

Cardinals' Jordan Hicks: Notches fifth save

Hicks struck out one in a perfect ninth inning Tuesday to record his fifth save of the season in a 4-2 win over the Astros.

The right-hander topped out at 99.5 mph with his final pitch as he caught Jeremy Pena looking. Hicks has converted saves in five straight appearances since taking over the closer role from Ryan Helsley (forearm), relegating Giovanny Gallegos to setup duties. The notoriously wild Hicks, who has a 13.5 percent walk rate for his career, also hasn't issued a free pass in six straight games, and over the last month he sports a 2.84 ERA, 1.11 WHIP and 19:4 K:BB through 12.2 innings. If he can maintain that kind of control, he might well hang onto ninth-inning duties the rest of the year.

  • Kevin Ginkel RP | ARI

Diamondbacks' Kevin Ginkel: Throws scoreless frame in return

Ginkel struck one over one inning in Tuesday's 8-4 win over the Rays.

Ginkel was recalled from Triple-A Reno on Tuesday and pitched a clean eighth inning. He had pitched well for the Diamondbacks prior to being sent down June 12, but the organization needed a roster spot for Joe Mantiply's return from the injured list. The same two were involved in Tuesday's transaction, as Mantiply was optioned after allowing eight earned runs over eight innings. Ginkel will work middle relief.

  • Camilo Doval RP | NYY

Giants' Camilo Doval: Cruises to four-out save

Doval struck out three without allowing a baserunner over 1.1 scoreless innings to earn the save in Tuesday's 3-0 win over the Blue Jays.

This was the fifth time Doval's been asked to get more than three outs this season, and he's been scored on in just one of those outings. He's given up two runs over 12.1 innings while converting nine saves in June. For the season, Doval owns an excellent 1.95 ERA with a 1.05 WHIP and 52:16 K:BB through 37 innings. He's now 23-for-25 in save chances.
