  • Braves' Daysbel Hernandez: Out with shoulder injury

Atlanta placed Hernandez on the 15-day injured list Friday with right shoulder inflammation.

Hernandez hasn't pitched in nearly a week, but he allowed three runs while recording just two outs in that outing. He will be eligible for activation during the final week of the season, but given the nature of the injury, Hernandez's 2025 campaign could be over.

  • Robert Suarez RP | ATL

Padres' Robert Suarez: Picks up 37th save

Suarez struck out one in a perfect inning to earn the save in Thursday's 2-0 win over the Rockies.

Suarez has allowed three runs over 7.1 innings in September, but this was his third clean appearance of the month. The Padres haven't generated a ton of save chances lately, which has led to Suarez slipping to second in the majors with 37 saves, two behind Kansas City's Carlos Estevez. Suarez is now at a 3.11 ERA, 0.94 WHIP and 67:15 K:BB through 63.2 innings this season.

  • Jhoan Duran RP | PHI

Phillies' Jhoan Duran: Shuts door for save Thursday

Duran struck out the side in the ninth inning for the save Thursday against the Mets.

Duran is now a perfect 5-for-5 on save opportunities to begin the month of September. The hard-throwing right-hander has gone 13-for-14 on save chances since joining the Phillies, and he's doing well to preserve his place as Philadelphia's closer. Over 64 frames between the Twins and Phillies, Duran owns an outstanding 1.83 ERA, 1.09 WHIP and 73:18 K:BB.

  • Ryan Rolison RP | CHC

Rockies' Ryan Rolison: Returns to Colorado

The Rockies recalled Rolison from Triple-A Albuquerque on Thursday.

The Rockies sent Rolison down to the minors Sept. 3, but he'll now return to the big leagues to replace Luis Peralta, who landed on the injured list Thursday with a hip injury. The 28-year-old Rolison carries a 7.15 ERA and 1.82 WHIP through 39 frames in the bigs this season and isn't likely to pitch in high-leverage situations anytime soon.

  • Luis Peralta RP | COL

Rockies' Luis Peralta: Lands on injured list

The Rockies placed Peralta on the 15-day injured list Thursday, retroactive to Monday, with left hip inflammation.

Peralta has struggled mightily in the majors this season, posting a 10.80 ERA and 2.40 WHIP across 16.2 innings alongside a 14:16 K:BB. The 24-year-old will be eligible to return before the end of the season, but the Rockies likely won't be in a rush to bring him back based on his performance and the fact that they are firmly out of contention for a postseason spot. Ryan Rolison was recalled from Triple-A in a corresponding move.

  • Mets' Huascar Brazoban: Up from Syracuse

The Mets recalled Brazoban from Triple-A Syracuse on Thursday.

Brazoban has put up a 3.91 ERA and 1.32 WHIP across 53 innings in the big leagues this season. He'll rejoin the Mets' bullpen to provide the team with an additional fresh arm, replacing Justin Hagenman, and is likely to work primarily in middle relief.

  • Mets' Justin Hagenman: Demoted to Syracuse

The Mets optioned Hagenman to Triple-A Syracuse on Thursday.

Hagenman did his best to save the Mets' bullpen by throwing 75 pitches during a three-inning relief appearance Tuesday in Philadelphia. Unfortunately for him, he'll now have to be replaced by a fresh relief arm.

  • Seth Martinez RP | BOS

Marlins' Seth Martinez: Jettisoned from 40-man

The Marlins designated Martinez for assignment Thursday.

Martinez has made six appearances since joining the active roster Aug. 27, across which he coughed up four earned runs over 6.2 innings. He'll now lose his place on the MLB and 40-man rosters to make room for Ryan Weathers' (lat) return from the 60-day IL.

  • Yosver Zulueta SP | SEA

Reds' Yosver Zulueta: Pushed back to Triple-A

The Reds optioned Zulueta to Triple-A Louisville on Thursday.

With Graham Ashcraft (forearm) and Chase Burns (elbow) both returning from the injured list Thursday, the Reds will move Zulueta and Lyon Richardson to Triple-A in order to create roster space. Zulueta gave up two runs over two innings during his latest stint with Cincinnati, elevating his big-league ERA to 6.14 through 7.1 frames.

  • Reds' Graham Ashcraft: Makes return from IL

The Reds activated Ashcraft (forearm) from the 15-day injured list Thursday.

Ashcraft was shelved for the past two weeks with a right forearm strain, but he'll skip a rehab assignment and rejoin the Reds' bullpen for their weekend series against the Athletics. The right-hander has posted a 3.72 ERA and 56:24 K:BB over 58 innings in 2025 in his first season as a full-time reliever.
