Yates allowed a hit and a walk while striking out two over one scoreless inning to earn the save in Tuesday's 4-2 win over the Diamondbacks.

This was Yates' first save since May 8, as opportunities have been few and far between for saves recently. He pitched four times between saves, allowing one run on two hits and three walks over three innings. The right-hander has eight saves, two holds, 0.90 ERA, 0.90 WHIP and 25:10 K:BB over 20 innings this season.

Duran picked up the save Tuesday against Kansas City, allowing two hits and no walks with a strikeout over one scoreless inning.

Duran surrendered a leadoff double to Salvador Perez and then a single to Adam Frazier, putting runners on the corners with no outs in the ninth. However, pinch-runner Dairon Blanco was caught stealing second and Duran retired MJ Melendez and Nick Loftin to keep the Royals off the scoreboard. After taking back-to-back losses in the middle of May, Duran has rebounded with five straight saves, yielding one earned run across 4.1 innings.

The Guardians reinstated Morgan (shoulder) from the injured list Tuesday, Mandy Bell of MLB.com reports.

Morgan landed on the injured list in mid-April due to right shoulder inflammation and began a rehab assignment at Triple-A Columbus on May 4. Since then, he's posted a 3.24 ERA and 1.08 WHIP across 8.1 innings while striking out nine batters and walking six. The 28-year-old righty had been one of the more reliable members of Cleveland's bullpen before getting injured, though he figures to pitch in middle relief now that he's healthy. Xzavion Curry was optioned to Columbus in a corresponding move.

The Blue Jays optioned Swanson to Triple-A Buffalo on Tuesday.

After finishing with a sub-3.00 ERA in each of the past two seasons, Swanson has allowed 14 earned runs in 13.2 frames to begin the 2024 campaign. He's been trending in the right direction as of late, posting a 3.52 ERA across 7.2 innings since May 7, but he will head to Triple-A nonetheless to ensure that his struggles will be completely behind him by the time he pitches on a big-league mound again. Chad Green (shoulder) was reinstated from the injured list to take Swanson's roster spot.

Green (shoulder) was reinstated from the 15-day injured list and will be available out of the bullpen in Tuesday's game versus the White Sox.

Green has been sidelined since mid-April with a right shoulder strain, and he was able to make three scoreless appearances with Triple-A Buffalo during his rehab assignment. The veteran had already returned to the Blue Jays' clubhouse in Chicago for the series opener Monday. In a corresponding move, Erik Swanson was optioned to Triple-A Buffalo.

Rodriguez was optioned to Triple-A Round Rock on Tuesday, Evan Grant of The Dallas Morning Newsreports.

Rodriguez has a 6.88 ERA in 12 outings this season and hasn't pitched in nearly a week, and he'll now make his way to the minors. He'll serve as organizational depth with Triple-A Round Rock.

Peralta was designated for assignment by the White Sox on Tuesday.

The club needed to free up a spot on its 40-man roster for Jake Woodford, who will start Tuesday versus the Blue Jays. Peralta was just claimed off waivers Sunday and will now go through the waiver process again.

Tarnok (hip) covered 1.2 innings and gave up four earned runs on one hit and two walks in his latest rehab appearance for Triple-A Las Vegas on Saturday.

Tarnok has worked as a starter for most of his minor-league career and in his brief time in the big leagues, but Oakland may be preparing him for a relief role upon his return from the 60-day injured list. The 25-year-old righty -- who has been on the shelf all season while recovering from August surgery on his right hip -- has been deployed out of Las Vegas' bullpen in each of his last four rehab appearances. He hasn't recorded more than six outs in any of those appearances and owns a 13.50 ERA and 1.67 WHIP over his five total rehab outings, so Tarnok looks like he'll need more time to iron out the kinks during his rehab assignment before he becomes a realistic option for the Oakland pitching staff in any capacity.

Spence will start Tuesday's game against the Rays, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

Spence will make a third consecutive start for the A's after opening the season as a long reliever. Spence has lasted 4.2 innings and 3.0 innings across his first two starts, yielding three runs and striking out eight over that stretch. He's thrown 77 and 70 pitches during those two outings, respectively, and shouldn't be a viable fantasy option in most formats.

Ort was claimed off waivers by the Astros and optioned to Triple-A Sugar Land on Tuesday, Brian McTaggart of MLB.com reports.

Ort was acquired by the Orioles in February but struggled to a 12.08 ERA in 14 outings at Triple-A Norfolk, which led to him being removed from the 40-man roster. The 32-year-old made 21 appearances for the Red Sox last season and posted a 6.26 ERA and 1.57 WHIP over 23 innings, and he should serve as organizational depth for the Astros.
